Blink or glide for an assault rife/shotgun based warlock?

Is warlock the worst class?

How the hell do beat the moon strike?

with a good team lol

after doing the weekly, i'm really scared of my friends list. there are people that i have a great time playing with it that have NO idea how to communicate, move, and prioritize targets.

I'm betting hall of Glass is in that area on Venus before all of the "gates" where part of the wall has that "force field" on it that shoves you back if you walk into it.

The PvP in this game can feel very frustrating and cheap. Maybe it's just because I don't play many console shooters...

It can be really fun at times, though!

Matchmaking is broke as fuck...

I'm assuming it doesn't do any accounting for skill. Seems like a first-come-first-serve thing with people close enough to not have a bad connection.

Some of the games I've played in have had dudes who just wreck everyone. All the while we've got dudes at level 5 who are obviously just starting the game (which applied to me a couple of days ago).

Just had a 2 hour session with nothing to show. :(

What a bad feeling.
What's with the enemies that are half your level with a yellow bar and take hardly any damage? I'm level 19 and saw a level 8 in a cave. Called Onyx or something. 5 rockets, full fusion rounds and half my rare scout rifle later he finally died.
It's the bullet sponge effect. Get used to it for the strikes.

Also, do we know if the soft-cap level 20 is permanent? Levelling felt really rushed. Most people hit 20 in the first few days. Kinda strange just getting more armour (randomly) with incrementally more light. XP makes more sense.

There is no reason Destiny couldn't have a traditional campaign with minnimal load times, custom designed encounters, much less re-used environments, the ability to just go straight through it without grinding breaks, and good matchmaking to have people to play with IMO. I would have liked that...

Huh, challenging are they? :)
Everything but Patrol on Mars has been kicking my ass. Those fucking Cabal captains on harder difficulties are like Cheetah Tanks. They should not be that fast and hit that hard.

And I also just realized that picture's old. Got some more light gear, a rare AR, and a legendary Shotty.

Titan Exotic Gauntlets post
Fuuuuuuuck youuuuuuuuuuu. :\\\

Legendary Engram got a blue weapon.

Hold Me Gaf....

Been trying to get some legendary and exotic guns and gear but to no avail.

How you guys been getting them??

Audio. Seriously. What the hell? No epic music and terrible sound mixing. I had to turn subtitles on because the voices are just too low compared to the other sounds.

You're crazy, the audio is exceptional, Marty's score is every meaning of the word epic. You using your TV speakers or something?

Thanks for the patrol help. I think being colorblind didn't help, the icon didn't stand out, I had to scroll to each one until I found it.

The encounter design is already starting to grind a bit. With the shared world comes the respawning, static enemy locations so the dudes just ahead of me don't clear out the level before I get there. But it all comes down to killing small groups of rapidly respawning enemies.

For the patrol mission, I cleared some enemies, scanned the first beacon to get the mission, then turned around and the enemies I'd just killed had respawned 20 feet behind me. I turned the game off there. That's not just not fun, but it's how nearly every encounter I run into has gone.

On a prior mission, the one with the old boats everywhere, the actual world design is great. And there appear to be lots of ways to work through and approach the encounters. But due to the respawning enemies, it's all for naught. There was a ship filled with enemies, and a low bluff just to the right of it. I cleared the bluff of enemies, sniped the guys on the ship, then moved in and finished up. Then I immediately started taking fire from the guys on the bluff that just respawned. I go back to kill them, and the guys on the ship appeared again.

There's another situation where two ships are side by side, with my objective in one of them. I clear the ship adjacent to my goal, then board the other ship, and suddenly I'm taking fire from both sides as the guys behind me spawned again. So instead of an approach designed to give myself cover, I ended up pinning myself between two lines of fire.

So now I find myself trying to game the spawn system to avoid these areas. Instead of evaluating a space for the best approach, I evaluate it for how to best avoid line of sight to the spawn groups, since I know it's pointless to kill them in the first place. And that's when I stopped having fun with the game.

what's nexus farming?

You go on the Nexus strike, get to the last cave where some goblins ambush you, obliterate them, pick up any loot and jump off. Darkness zone, respawns you just before the goblin group. Rinse and repeat. I got 9 blue and 1 purple engram in an hour earlier doing it. Got my hands on 4 coins with those lol.

So how do you easily get through Captain shields? Is there a certain damage type I should use?

Arc: This elemental damage type is related to electricity and has an area of effect. Blue shields are weak to Arc damage. The Bladedancer and Striker subclasses focus on Arc damage.
Solar: This elemental damage type is fire damage and has a chance to ignite enemies. Orange shields are weak to Solar damage. The Gunslinger and Sunsinger subclasses focus on Solar Damage.
Void: This elemental damage type is related to gravity and dark energy. Purple shields are weak to Void damage. The Defender and Voidwalker subclasses focus on Void damage.
