Destiny |OT2| The Last Guardians

Been playing as much as possible this weekend. Having a blast. Its got its hooks in me.

Even though I suck ass at PVP, im really having fun in there.

I don't think it matters if you're farming 14 Nexus or getting it randomly through Vanguard striking guys. Been doing regular Nexus farming and that loot we get seems scaled to our level, so around 18.

Could be wrong though

I really don't understand the thought process behind Engrams not necessarily providing items of their rarity. Why in the world would they purposefully design a direct bait and switch disappointment in having an engram that can degrade in rarity?

I just don't get it.

I really hate completing a strike and getting gear for a guardian class that I'm not even playing. With how little this game gives you that's actually valuable, give me something for my class, come on.

My friend and I both reached level 20 at the same time but after a few more hours of playing he is a 22 while I am still at 20. I beat him in 90% of the crucible matches and get nothing. I feel so left behind, I cant play the higher level strikes now

sorry if this widely known and i'm just clueless, or recently asked (these threads are flying) - any news on the soundtrack release?

Having a lot of fun. Only level 8 so far but this definitely has me wanting to play as often as I can. Too bad I don't have time like I would want

:D
Why do I get the feeling this is the gun I would have had if the cryptarch didn't fuck me over? =/

Bungie is gonna have to explain their rationale for this shit. So many boneheaded, counterproductive decisions in this bitch. Whoever is at the top of the food chain making some of these calls needs a good talking-to.

Yeah, it's super super weird. The color of the engram should be the minimum rarity item it can turn into. It's fine if they adjust the drops accordingly, but they REALLY need to change it to that. Just silly the way it works now.

Also, man I really dig this game.

I'm guessing the rationale is that it encourages you to play other classes. Playing other classes means you play the game longer. That either means the game thus has more value or that it gives Bungie/Acti the opportunity to make more money off of you. I wouldn't mind getting an item for another class if replaying the entire game wasn't such a chore.

Had a great little coop sesh with a friend on the moon we were about to start a mission when we noticed a public event we sped over to the other side of the map started fighting a absurdly powerful wizard. We were getting our asses kicked then loads of randoms joined us eventually culminated in us killing the wizard with one second on the clock. Stuff like that is why I love this game.

is there a guide to crucible and how it all works with weapon stats? Still boggles my mind the whole differences in weapons when some auto rifles can empty a whole clip into someone and they are still alive, while over take you out in a few shots it seems. One shotting people with shotguns, yet to find any type of shotty that does this seems impossible so far? How does the normalization of the stats really work? And lvl differences between characters seems really odd with them having so many more abilities unlocked at their disposal, shouldn't I be playing matches with my own lvl?

Agreed. Didnt even realize it was like that until the first disappointment. Just silly.

Seriously, I literally have an entire set of rare level 20 Hunter armour, a class I have no intention of playing. It's ridiculous, especially since there's no trading in the game.

Because engrams are just gambles. The higher rarities just put the odds more towards of your favor but nothing is still guaranteed.

For me its part of the fun getting bait switched with engrams lol. But im a glutton for punishment. So much so that i dont see the fun in the kind of farmjng like the Nexus kill yourself thing. But to each their own of course.

I think peeps lose sight of what rare means. its supposed to be tough to get IMO.

Being friendly in this game is really difficult. I've been farming chests for about an hour or so and if there was a lower level nearby I'd attempt to communicate to them that a cache was near me. Only two people out of about 20 understood what I was trying to do.

I'm playing now. I'm so tired of playing alone. If anyone wants to join my fireteam...feel free! I'm CartmanPat and I'm on PS4.

I need to come across more people like you!

The pvp is great. It's so tight and quick. Coming from Bf4 it's a lot of fun and a nice change. I'm only level 13 and haven't even worried too much about gear.

Am I crazy, or does the drop rate get worse when you hit 20? Plus, the Cryptarch's started doling out sub-quality Engram results. I can't think of a single time I had to deal with it in 1-19, now it seems like every other blue engram is just mats or green.

I've been on the hype train since last year but c'mon Bungie. This story is all over the place, I don't even know how I died, why I have "light" inside of me but others don't. What the travel is, what the darkness is. . I don't know what anything is. And it's not cool to say read the lore online. . I bought Destiny to play on my PS4 not bungie.net. . still a great game and I'm level 20. Now I'm just farming for armor for PVP but c'mon this is crazy. .this game made me want to consider getting a xbox one for MCC

Loving this, but I've now been kicked out of the game 3 times this evening mid-mission and had to start over. Not cool.

Playing on PS4. Anyone else having any issues tonight?
