Ughhhh I can't stand the Adventures VAs for this (mainly Peppy/Slippy). :/

I'd like to talk Smash Basics for a bit with any players here.
- Is L cancelling in? If not how fast do the jump recovery feel compared to Brawl?
- Short hop into Fast Fall...this is basic freakin training wheels stuff here. Please tell me its not changed. There was a short rumor that fast fall would be eliminated from hops and would only work on jumps above a certain Y coordinate. Please tell me I can still short hop fast fall.
- Shine to Shield...still there?
- How does the DI feel? Stronger? Weaker?
- I hear you can dash dance but its not like in the past. Could someone explain the difference and how it effects using dash dance?
- Jump canceling out of the cooldown on a move...is it universal or only something certain folks can do on stuff? If only a few what are some that can do this?
- How soon can you make an action after a throw? Being able to jump right into a followup is BIG and I'd like to know if all these odd speed buffs apply to a universal sort of "low cooldown" for throws. Can folks take immediate action off of throws or only some folks?
- Air dodge...its looking better on stream. Could someone rundown how it feels in Smash 4 compared to say Brawl and Project M?
- New Dodge roll seems fast...How is this affecting the footsies so far? Is it more in your face or just harder to catch folks? Is it encouraging a bigger throw game?
- Shield canceling...can you do it? There was also a rumor you could shield while running. A breakdown of shield options and cancels (if any) is needed here.
So how deep do the custom controls go?
1. Sad there is no L Canceling but the little if any endlag is sweet. I can use that.
- No lag canceling. Most aerials have little endlag if any.
- You can fast fall short hops.
- I don't know what you mean, but shine is awful so it probably doesn't matter. Shine does like no knockback at all.
- Dash dancing is identical to Brawl dash dance, it's just harder on circle pad.
- No jump canceling that I know of.
- You can combo out of some throws.
- Air dodge is realy good. There's like no startup and you can do multiple airdodges before touching the ground. Makes comboing much harder. You can't airdodge out of hitstun like in Brawl.
- Rolling is fast but I can still tech chase.
- Shields come out quickly and you can shield out of a run.
And Isaac I guess? But yeah, basically. So Lucas and Ridley are the notable MIA trophies?
I stopped playing Vanilla Brawl in like 2009 so I'm unfamiliar with the more recent ATs.1. Sad there is no L Canceling but the little if any endlag is sweet. I can use that.
2. Shine does...no knockback? Oh lordy things will be interesting.
3.Now THIS is a complete meta changer. No air dodge out of hitsun, but multiple air dodging? Changes the complete air game. I can see a lot of weird recovery struggles using this.
4.I can use shield to cancel my run? Is it possible to use shielding to wave dash? If so thats like MK block dashing or something...
EDIT: Corneria easter egg taunt still works with Fox/Falco if anyone was wondering (pressing down on D-Pad on one frame)
So Lucas and Ridley are the notable MIA trophies?
Any idea about any replacement for Snake's? Like some people were wondering if Doc Louis was going to get his kind of stuff, or Kid Icarus.
You can switch the buttons around and turn off the stick up jumping. That's it.
I have a really weird feeling about the Chorus Kids. Either they were cut late into development or they're planned as DLC.
First, there was the Gematsu leak. Yes, the information is clearly outdated, but the Chorus Kids stick out from the rest of the pack since they represent a new IP. "Pokémon from X/Y" is pretty vague, and Robin and Lucina made it in over Chrom, but there's nothing ambiguous about "Chorus Men." There's no mistaking them for another character.
Then, at E3, we saw the Sneaky Spirit as a Smash Run enemy. Out of the dozens of non-playable IPs to give an enemy, Sakurai includes someone from the same series as the Chorus Kids, mentioned only two months prior by Gematsu.
That brings us to now -- the Chorus Kids trophy. It's a really odd trophy. Character trophies typically just give biographical details, but the Chorus Kids trophy talks about a bunch of GBA Rhythm Tengoku minigames/characters. Only the last sentence mentions the Chorus Kids.
Yes, it's the button on the bottom-left corner of the custom controls screen. For those who have the full game or know more about it than I do, I have a question about control customization. Can I make it so that sliding up on the circlepad won't make me jump, but can still be used for up-normal/special attacks? I ask this because there are certain attacks, such as Megaman's "shoryuken" that I find hard to pull off because of the attack/jump timing.

My c-sticking days are over it seems...
JoeInky said he encounter Polar Bear in Smash Run.I would like to let you know that I saw Sneaky Spirit in final version on someone's stream, but I'm not sure about Polar Bear.
Yes, you can turn off tap jump.
Well yes haha. I'm almost glad we aren't getting the new 3DS this year cause I would seriously consider buying one.you mean they're waiting for the Wii U version?![]()

The Polar Bear is still in.I would like to let you know that I saw Sneaky Spirit in final version on someone's stream, but I'm not sure about Polar Bear.
I forgot to ask, does the Ice Climbers trophy have the "Other" category like the polar bear?Perfect, both are still in. I'm glad that they still giving the nods to both franchises.
??? Where's the info of Chorus Kids' trophy?I have a really weird feeling about the Chorus Kids. Either they were cut late into development or they're planned as DLC.

The Polar Bear is still in.
It is odd, though. I don't think any other enemies in Smash Run come from a franchise that lacks a character or stage. The Polar Bear and Sneaky Spirit stand alone.
You run around beating up enemies to boost your stats. This is so you're strong enough to compete in a final FFA battle...except everyone dies in one hit no matter what so it doesn't even matter what you do in the running section.I asked earlier but.. Anyone have any smash run impressions, or can link me to some?
I forgot to ask, does the Ice Climbers trophy have the "Other" category like the polar bear?
Wow. I'm guessing he can't use them
So Sakurai kinda left a backdoor open for the Chorus Kids to be DLC?I have a really weird feeling about the Chorus Kids. Either they were cut late into development or they're planned as DLC.

No, I believe the Pocket move gives him momentary invincibility. He's just avoiding it.
It's just that pocket has tons of invincibility. It's basically like a spot dodge that can also grab items/projectiles. Also, you lose your invincibility as soon as you pocket something.
If there's no Colress battle music remix from Black and White 2, I will raid Bamco and Nintendo all by myself.
That's my feeling as well. There's been too much smoke for there not have been a fire at some point. The trophy cinched it for me.I have a really weird feeling about the Chorus Kids. Either they were cut late into development or they're planned as DLC.
