Well, based on the reviews, I'd say Titanfall delivered. 86 is not bad at all. I would want to play all three of these games sooner than later.
Titanfall had zero content when it launched, it had 4 game modes, and zero story, so how it delivered is beyond me

Watchdogs, I craigslisted 2 days into it, horrible

Destiny - everything I thought it would be, the grind to be geared up for the raid is real, the new content coming every week is real, it seems people tune out the positive and only focus on the negative when it comes to this game, must be the edgy cool thing to do

Titanfall delivered pretty much what I expected, and I loved it.

Destiny is a little better than I expected, but my expectations were lower there.

Watch Dogs looked amazing when initially revealed, but ultimately the final product looked so underwhelming I had no interest.

I bought none of them. To be honest, I don't think I've bought a Western third party game other than strategy games for PC in a long time. No interest in upcoming games like AssCreed either.

All the games I've bought or are planning to buy this year are from Nintendo or SCE, or are some obscure Japanese title.

I think Titanfall was the most successful.

The game wasn't bad at all; the gameplay looks to be really great :D! The mech combat and parkor-esc navigation mixed with the great COD MP gameplay really made it a blast to play (lots of videos of the online matches look fun :D).

The issue was that the game lacked a lot of content; many expected tons of maps and some kind of single player mode (even something like the Spec Ops missions from the MW games). Either way, the game continues to get Map packs, so the content part shouldn't be much of a issue now (as the game can be found at cheaper prices now I think).

The next Titianfall will be amazing though; a form of single player being added alongside lots of maps to play though (alongside it also coming to PS Platforms, maybe another reason some were lukewarm about it?) will make that a hit :D.

I haven't played Destiny (don't own a PS4/XBO and I'd rather play it on modern hardware) but Watch Dogs bored me to tears. I'll have to go with Titanfall since I actually had a lot of fun with the game, but the PC version is starved of a userbase and it's lacking in content.

Really I don't think any of the top marketed AAA games delivered this year so far.

I don't think any of them. Maybe Titanfall, but the hype for that was beyond ridiculous. I mean I guess that could have been said for all these titles. But just the amount of gushing over Titanfall from the press (Destiny was kept under wraps prior to the Alpha, so you didn't get all these PR pieces from sites like IGN talking about how game changing Titanfall was, or game show impressions from the press that were raving).

Titanfall didn't even come close. It was a slight tweak on the genre (for the better), but it lacked content and variety, and was pretty boring after a month.

I'm not angry as some of the others have said in this thread though, as I don't let the hype get to me, in the sense that, I don't actually expect anything to live up to the marketing. Like, what I said about Titanfall above, would have been totally fine with me, if I found it engaging past a month. I would have been okay with it not being revolutionary. But I found the content lacking. And with the flaws of Watch_Dogs and Destiny, I enjoyed them enough to feel I got what I needed out of the purchase.

Titanfall and Destiny are almost perfect in a moment-to-moment shooty-level way. On that alone, they're worth the hype.

Other factors, like Titanfall's lack of Steamworks and a campaign, and Destiny's weird MMO structure and lack of content, hold the games back, but in terms of pure core gameplay, they're pretty much untouchable. Nobody else makes gunplay that comes anywhere near that close.

Haven't actually played Titanfall but I could barely force myself to finish WatchDogs and Destiny. My enthusiasm for each game decreased the longer I played them. Just uninspired and repetitive titles. When people make snide comments about how generic and underwhelming AAA games are, these titles are the ones that come to mind for me now.

I am still playing Destiny but here is my take so far

Watch Dogs was the best all around of the three. No where near deserving of the hype it got but to me felt like a great mid tier GTA type game and was fun. Too bad they spent AAA money on it though.

Destiny's gameplay is really fun to me my problems are lots and lots of tiny 'I wish they did X this way instead' along with forgettable at best and non-existent at worst story and the repetition can't be over stated. I'm having fun with it almost solely a mechanical level.

Titanfall could have been great but it was about as bare bones as a game could be. I found the multiplayer fun but not amazing. It's not ruined on me for a sequel, but I'll definitely make sure it has more content before buying it though.

My over hyped of the year goes to Titanfall, my 'best game' of the three over hyped games goes to Watch Dogs.

All 3 games were over hyped and under delivered.

They each have nuggets of greatness surrounded by lots of mediocrity.

The question is which game will learn the most from the customer feedback and deliver a knockout sequel? At the very least, Titanfall 2, WatchDogs 2 and Destiny 2 need to be for current gen only to have any hope for greatness. Anyone building a sequel for last-gen platforms deserves to fail.

I wouldn't say Titanfall was overhyped; it delivered, both critically and for me personally.

Watch_Dogs is criminally subpar.

I'm liking Destiny thus far. Then again, I didn't follow it very closely in the months leading up to its release - so I didn't really feel entrenched in the hype.

We should, however, be talking about Wolfenstein, as it got zero hype, but delivered in spades.

Titanfall had zero content when it launched, it had 4 game modes, and zero story, so how it delivered is beyond me

If you bought Titanfall expecting a story, that's on you. They said it was a multiplayer game from the very beginning. Also, saying it had "zero content" is hyperbole of the highest order. It had 17 maps at launch. For a multiplayer game that's fine, and they're nearly all good maps.

Titanfall, I think. WD was a borefest and Destiny's campaign is downright the worst I've played in a while.

If you take into account that titanfall is pretty much a multiplayer only game, I would say it delivered the most with what it had out of those three. I don't remember people being disappointed in droves.

I loved Titanfall for a week until I got bored of it. Didn't play Watch Dogs. Currently loving the hell out of Destiny. Will it last more than a week? We'll see! (I think so.)

The only one I've played was Watch Dogs and personally I enjoyed my time with it.

It wasn't a mindblowing game that will influence gaming for the next decade. But then again, I didn't expect it to be that

I think answer to this question will depend very heavily on who you're asking. As far as the gaming media and gaming enthusiast are concerned, probably Titanfall, since you essentially got what was advertised, for better or worse. When talking to more casual gamers though, Watch_Dogs was/is a pretty big deal. It was no GTA but people were mostly satisfied with it. Titanfall appears to have completely fallen off the face of the earth for those that did buy into the hype and while they aren't complaining about Destiny now, It's still too early to say if they will continue to be big fans of the game going forward. Destiny needs more time on the market to gauge the general gamer's feedback.

Titanfall, it would have been better with a solid SP campaign but the MP is pretty great. Hated Watch Dogs and I find Destiny to be just ok.

This gen hasn't been off to the best start, I'm hoping for better games in 2015.

Played the beta for destiny/titanfall.

I thought titanfall was inherently more fun, Destiny was interesting but didn't have the hook for me. I decided not to get titanfall because of the p2p matchmaking system + it didn't have the depth I was hoping it would (loadouts/weapon attachments).

Destiny was just boring to me, I was having fun until I fought the tank and spent my time ducking behind cover and shooting it for 5 minutes. The non existent story with goofy names wasn't helping the case either. I didn't care for the surrounding either, it looked extremely generic seeing a post apocalyptic earth. PvP was also entertaining for an hour, then it got repetitive and again, not much depth or weapon variety.

I'm looking forward to both game's sequels, but Destiny might benefit more from Diablo 3 ROS type treatment, but I get the feeling console gamers won't be as receptive to waiting around for a game to be fixed like some PC gamers are, rather they'll jump on the next big fps.

TItanfall was very fun. I just played the beta and 48 hours of game time with origin and it was a blast to play. even if it just gave me 48 hours of more fun it would still be well worth 60

Watch dogs was fun open world game. It didnt blew me away but it was well worth 60

Havent played destiny . no too much into coop games

I enjoyed Titanfall, and I'm having fun with Destiny. I still think Watch Dogs is kinda dull, but there's a lot of fun to be had there as well. Did they really deliver considering all the hype they got however? No sir.

Titanfall delivered what it promised.
This. It just lacked content.

Watch Dogs and Destiny are just pretty big disappointments that have a lot of content but not much of the content is that great.

I feel like Sunset Overdrive and The Crew will be the next two new IPs to disappoint and either next year or 2016 The Division will.

Titanfall had less content but whatever it had, it was great. Played the hell out of it.
Watchdog, I didn't even finish it and traded my copy. Why? I don't know, though it was boring.
Destiny, too soon to say anything. But definitely a let down in terms of compelling story telling and lifeless characters. Something we all expected Bungie will deliver after Halo.

Watch_Dogs for me. It wasn't amazing, but I enjoyed it for what it was and the sequel will probably be great if they fix the issues the first game had.

To me they all were disappointments in a sense. I enjoyed my time with all three, but they all were very flawed games. Being new IPs, I think they show promise for good sequels that refine and improve on their concepts.

I think the business model of creating very expensive, very generic software and using an equal or greater sum of money to promote it -while currently servicable- isn't going to last long.
