Watch_Dogs was boring. Titanfall lacked content. Destiny is also lacking content, but is more polished than Titanfall.

So I go with Destiny.

Does Watch Dogs even have dogs? Robot dogs?

Is that a Nazi robot dog? I don't play much FPS but you might have sold me on Wolfenstein now.

I've only played Titanfall (on PC) and while I had some fun with it, it mostly didn't deliver. First of all, the lack of a proper singleplayer made me wait on a sale so it didn't hurt that much and the bots are just laughable but the game's biggest issue is, funnily, that the titans themselves just weren't very fun to use, at least to me. Which is a shame because the gameplay outside of the titans is really damn fun. At least there's finally a pilot-only mode.

I haven't picked up Destiny because I don't have a PS4 and there's no PC version but I generally like the gunplay in Halo and that's where the game seems to excel at. It just looks like it's lacking in pretty much every other regard.

Watch_Dogs I won't even touch. I'm tired of Ubisoft's cookie-cutter open-world design. The game looks as terrible as expected. Maybe when they're at the same point in the franchise as Assassin's Creed is, I'll take another look. Unity seems to be closer to what I want from a game than ever before.

I enjoyed Watchdogs even though I didn't really dig the characters or the city, and I'm loving Destiny. I never played Titanfall as it never really appealed to me.

If bloodborn and mgs fail to deliver, I'm giving up on future games...

Dunno about MGSV but I have faith for Bloodborne. I didn't like DS2 that much, but I trust Miyazaki's genius brain.

But this is kind of dejavu anyways. Back when I got my PS3, I was excited about RE5, MGS4, and FFXIII. All 3 were really, really disappointing compared to the excellent entries in their franchises that came before them.

Maybe the game that's gonna make PS4 worth it isn't Bloodborne, but something no one has ever heard of.

I played Watch Dogs for about 20 minutes before I got bored with it and sold my discounted copy to a friend. I played Titan fall for a few hours before a lack of a single player made me go back to playing Forza 5 on my Xbox One.

I played the hell out of both the alpha and the beta of Destiny, and I'm now rocking a level 17 Hunter, and all I can think about is how I'm going to upgrade my character at all times of the day. The crucible multilayer is the most fun I've had with a competitive multilayer mode in years.

So Destiny is the winner for me, regardless of what critics say.

Titanfall came out and was exactly what it was billed as. There was no dishonesty or overhyping by the developer/publisher, IMO.

Destiny and Watch Dogs were nowhere close to what they were billed as. In both of those cases, the developer/publisher were full of crap.

I honestly dont understand the hate for watch dogs. I found it very servicable and enjoyed playing it more than GTAV.

Was it a definitive next gen experience? No. But it was and is a enjoyable cross gen game, with unique mechanics never seen before.

Everything I have seen of titanfall and Destiny have shown me I wouldnt enjoy them half as much.

Wolfienstien is the dark horse here. I feel that it is quailty wise, the best of the bunch, but I still havent got round to trying it myself.

I only played Destiny (beta) and TF. I'd go with TF between those 2 if I had to choose.

The Destiny beta on PS4 was fun, but it was all I needed to play to know the game was too MMOy for my tastes. So the reviews for it aren't surprising to me in the least.

Only have a PS4, but I've played TF about 5x now at my neighbor's house over the past few months. Really fun, and I hope the sequel is mutlplat.

Honestly, the only thing wrong with destiny is its lack of innovation: Last time bungie made something new, eg. halo, it revolutionized the industry. That's regardless of your opinion of halo. Destiny is just a halo x borderlands derivative with some fun play to be had, but nothing really all that special. Now anyway; two or three years of expansions could very well make it in to a different experience than it is right now. As it stands: sokay.

You're entitled to that opinion, but I thought GTA V was far, far above serviceable. Almost everything about it, save for the story/characterization and the gunplay was absolutely exceptional and the pinnacle of the genre, for me. GTA V is the best open-world game I've ever played since the birth of the genre, and the forthcoming Remaster will be nothing short of mind-blowing.

GTA V's slightly disappointing story and characters are still leagues above the absolutely offensive abomination that is Watch_Dogs' plot and Aiden Pearce.

I tried with TF, but most PC users just play in deathmatch sections. Pretty boring in my opinion. I also played the beta version of Destiny (PS3 version), didn't explored too much so I can't really tell anything. I'm not quite sure about Watch_Dogs. I didn't played it yet, but back at E3 2013 I got hyped, and not of all this dowgrade thing got my hype away from it. I just hope that AC Unity don't do the same thing, because I have faith that this game is gonna be awesome. See HOW MANY npcs there's in the E3 2014 demo.

I haven't played Titanfall outside of the beta, but from what I can understand and the post release support etc. EA is doing the best with Titanfall outside of everyone else with the rest of the games.

Though I love Watch dogs in a special kind of way its not really a good game, just like Destiny. IMO both average games.

Here is the thing.

Im not the type of person to muck around in open world games.

I play the story, do occasional side missions then get bored.

Its also the reason why I also find Saints row 4 to be more enjoyable than GTAV.

YMMV

I think Titanfall pretty much delivered exactly what they said it would. Everyone just got bored with it after actually getting to play it for extended periods.

Destiny is the biggest failure to deliver what was originally promised. Ironically, its also easily my favorite of the three. It may not be the massive pot of gold under the rainbow that was hoped and expected for, but its still fun as hell and bigger, more replayable then most shooters. So for that I'd still give it a higher score then the others.

Personally, I think games should be judged for what they are, not what was expected of them. Expectations in every walk of life tend to be wrong. Not very fair, unless its something like Colonial Marines where w'ere straight up lied to. (I know, we were supposed to be able to walk over those hills, but the Beta put that to bed, it shouldn't have been surprising now)

(Disclaimer I ended up returning this game on Origin)

I'd say Titanfall. I've played all three and it was the only game that innovated (slightly) in the genre it was in. The parkour and vehicle balance was really quite an amazing feat on respawn's part and shouldn't be overlooked. That being said the overall package of the game was meh and felt more like tech demo style game than a $59.99 AAA release.

Hype seems to be biting these developers (review wise) in the ass more than anything, that and a seemingly close-minded approach to these games. The one thing all these games have in common is they felt "safe" from a mass-market perspective. Not just in the setting of the game but also in the actual game systems. Destiny and Watch_Dogs both are in genre's which have a lot of headroom for them to explore and try new ideas. Instead they came together as a copied mess of already proven ideas. They didn't add anything new and didn't refine the old enough to make them stand out.

These games have done well from a revenue perspective but it says something about the industry of uninspired products can be super successful from a dollar perspective just by brute-forcing the marketing. Remember other games early on last-gen did suffer from games seemingly not having an identity. I think the biggest member of this club was the first Assassin's Creed. From the outset it looked amazing but once you actually played it you released it was essentially one mission copied multiple times with a different setting and VO. AC-2 fixed this to an extent the created a rather solid new IP ever since for some. Hopefully they learn from the criticism.

Titanfall was content starved, got boring after a week, and overall is a total overhype fail.

Watch Dogs failed to deliver on the visuals, but still presented a solid open world experience.

Destiny, I completely fail to understand what all the disappointment is about and am wondering where people got their expectations from. The game is exactly what I expected it to be.

I don't get how the beta of Destiny was so well recived yet now apparently everyone hates it?

Free demo ("beta"), good first impression of gunplay, storytelling is absent because it's just a demo, hope for more explorable world and less invisible walls, it's only a demo so surely there's loads more content and worlds awaiting.

Oh wait, demo was representative of the final product.

I own all three of them and am taken back by the Metacritic scores for them as I find Destiny to be the most enjoyable followed closely by titanfall I do believe destiny has more long term potential though as long as they keep adding fresh content. Watch dogs was a complete and utter disappointment well more mediocre than anything really.

IMO Titanfall was the most overhyped, Marketed as the second coming Christ when it was called of Duty with Mechs and Jet packs and no single player. Is anyone even still playing that game?

Titanfall was fun as fuck but then fell flat out of nowhere. I can't even be bothered to download it now :( . Feels like the same thing is happening with Destiny.

Well after last gen, I just stopped being hyped for any game coming out and decided to just go with the flow. Didn't play Titanfall because it had no single player campaign. Ended up liking Watchdogs and am loving Destiny right now.

I wish I was like this last Gen. The fanboy in me ruined last Gen for me. Hyping up exclusives with all these graphics and sales expectations beyond what was possible just to hate on the other platform and fanboys. I can't believe I sunk that low lol.

But now I've just decided to take it in stride. See what looks appealing to me, but don't expect anything from it other than being entertained. These days it doesn't take much to entertain me anymore.

So I think all 3 games are good.

I never really fell for the hype for any of these games, and I had no interest in Titanfall to begin with.

I'm enjoying Destiny for the fact that it's really fun with friends. I can't tell you a thing about the story and I beat it, which saddens me, but I find the gameplay a lot of fun overall.

I also thought Watch_Dogs was pretty good. It had a solid open world with a lot of side quests, and I enjoyed the gameplay. The story wasn't strong, but it was decent enough.

I think both games delivered somewhat on what I wanted from them -- good multiplayer/co-op in Destiny and a solid world to explore in Watch_Dogs.

I had fun with all of them, but none of them gave me that burning desire to keep playing.

After a week they just had nothing left to offer me.

Empty experiences. The definition of average.

For me, nothing delivered. If anything, Titanfall and Destiny, which were the game I bought into have showed me that AAA's can false advertise and get away with it, mainly the latter. I am going to be much more hesitant in buying these types of games now and am glad I didn't buy a whole new system just to play Titanfall. Seems like my PS4 is pretty worthless for the rest of the year now. I should only ever buy a console when a game a know I'll play for a very long time is out, aka MW2 or Gears of War. Never again will I buy into the bullshit that publishers feed into the hype machine.

I believe Titanfall eeked out a victory over Destiny.

Shooting is much more satisfying.

Destiny feels like a poor mans stitched Halo.

I don't get how the beta of Destiny was so well recived yet now apparently everyone hates it?

It was a vertical slice of a game which everyone understood to be massive. It really wouldn't be fair to judge the entire product off such a small amount of the game. Also the game's main criticism is not coming together as a cohesive package; which really isn't something you'd get from what is essentially a demo.

If Titanfall had shipped on day one with all its present DLC, features and patches, I don't think it would be even questionable.

I don't get how the beta of Destiny was so well recived yet now apparently everyone hates it?

I think it is the same as the NHL 15 demo. The demo of NHL 15 plays very well just like the gunplay in Destiny beta is great and it was good looking. But although they both play well as demos, they lack much more than what was in the demo. NHL 15 has been stripped bare of most of the various play modes (no EASHL, no online team play, no season mode, no shoot out mode, gimped be a Pro mode, no winter classic, no tutorial, no tournament, no 3 stars, etc.) and Destiny had no story to speak of, repetitive missions, little loot, almost no social aspects, etc.

Titanfall was just plain boring. Granted, it was made for your typical multiplayer-only COD enthusiast, but it was just so dry. Maybe it was the lack of an actual campaign, but I just felt it had no replayability.

Watch_Dogs was equally as forgettable. Rarely do I buy a AAA, $60 game and never play it after the first couple of days--Watch_Dogs was just such a game. Atrocious story, bland character, and meh gameplay put a nail in the coffin.

On the flip-side, I'm absolutely in love with Destiny right now. Amidst all the hate, I am loving every minute of it. Maybe it's because I find simple pleasure in grinding, replaying, and farming, but almost everything in the game is great to me. Although most people aren't like me, considering I adored DA:2 and went through it about 6 times. Story is where it fell short; I think the info in the grimoire cards should've been implemented in the story more. Otherwise, they left plenty of room to expound on the universe.

Well, you probably shouldn't weep until you know whether or not they exceeded their development and marketing budgets.

Watch_Dogs and Destiny did easily. The only one that we don't have solid numbers for is Titanfall, but given that there is a sequel coming its safe to assume it has imo.

Titanfall is solid. Its more fresh than any of the games mentioned and has more replay value IMO given its competitive nature. All it needs is more weapons and a fleshed out SP.
