Y'know it's really kinda nice that Moore, Milligan, Morrison, Ennis, and Gaiman will have comics coming out at (sort of) the same time.

What EXTREME comics should I order to read with my Surge? I was thinking a little Spawn since I haven't read it. Maybe some Heroes Reborn? Extreme Thor? Hope Teen Tony has a collection.....

Something Rob Liefeld. I think this is from the original Prophet series:

It does sound interesting. Badlands got boring pretty quick so I haven't checked out Crossed in awhile. A future setting would give it more of a sci-fi post apocalyptic vibe.

Seeing that Gabriel Andrade is doing the art suggest it will be heavy with the gore horror. Ferals made me go wow.

I wish I had never read Crossed. It's just way too disturbing and upsetting. The Walking Dead is bleak, but when you read it there is a sense of mystery and adventure to it. Crossed just has horrible fucked up images that you'll never be able to get out of your head. My advice is to skip it.

Its a beginning ;)

I still have the feeling, that Slott is leaving after Spider-Verse. Its a massive Spider-Event and would be a proper finish for a long run like Slotts on the Series.
I hope so. I've never really minded Slott but ever since ASM restarted I've just been ready for a new writer.

Depends on which Crossed story you mean. Wish you were here is certainly interesting turn on the crossed series.

It begins with violence but gets toned down after the first book. Story is by far the most interesting thing in this Crossed series.

You can read it here for free : http://www.crossedcomic.com/category/chapters/

Cool!

Even though Marvel's publishing line primarily operates in low issue numbers these days, the company always seems to be aware of when a big anniversary pops up -- such as December's "Captain Marvel" #10 marking 100 combined solo issues starring Carol Danvers. CBR has the exclusive reveal of the cover and solicitation of the oversized issue by Kelly Sue DeConnick, David Lopez, Marcio Takara and more.

I just came back from the new Turtles movie. It was awful. Absolutely awful. However, it did inspire me to check out the current IDW Turtles on-going. I had a look at Amazon and I'm not exactly keen on four issue trades though - is there no larger collection of issues? An oversized/omnibus collection (upcoming or otherwise)?

There's this coming out soon.

Yeah its been a minute since that's happen I think

Well, Moore kinda has those Miracle man reprints, but good lord are they expensive

Yeah, its out of Print already. Was kinda suprised, too.

Wow. I know it's best to buy these things quick to market, but that's such an insane turnaround time. I guess I'll just stick to the two trade paperback collections.

EDIT:

I'm looking to sell my Green Lantern (Geoff Johns) trade paperback/hardcover collection in prep for the upcoming omnibus release. Does anyone have any tips that might be helpful?

So glad I picked up that Uncanny X-Force Omni when I did. Now I just gotta pray that Hickman's FF Vol 1 doesn't sell out soon cuz I probably won't be able to pick it up until later this year.

I'd wager that'd be available at least until the second volume is released. I'm thankful I have that on my shelf. So sad about Uncanny X-Force though. I wanted to have both Uncanny X-Force and Uncanny Avengers side-by-side on my bookshelf.

Is there a site that tracks this kind of information? I'd love to set alerts for some trades so I can prioritise those going out of print.

Isnt it announced for February?

Edit: OK, you mean Future Foundation, the Volume 1 let it me confuse with the Matt Fraction FF Omnibus.

I'm trying to figure out my next IST order... do you guys think we'll ever get a JMS spiderman Omnibus? I'm tempted to get a couple of the complete collections... I grew up reading those and I still have the floppies in my closet, but it would be nice to have them on my shelf in some form.

CBR has a thread about marvel and DC collected/omnibus editions. they seem to have a decent idea when things are going out of print.

This is the first time I've read Gotham Central. Just went through the first 3 issues.

You are in for a treat. It gets so much better. Love all those characters.

X-force is out of print now? I should bite the bullet and buy the omnibus for 80€?

If you want the omni then probably.

But you could always just buy the two Complete Collections. The first one came out last month and the second one is coming out in a few months.

Wow at Uncanny X-Force Omnibus being out of print already :O This is one of the reasons I'm happy I tend to jump on them on release date.

I do want to add that it looks like the style of Gabriel Andrade won't be as compelling as what Moore is going to bring to Crossed. It will probably be my first and last purchase of the series. Still, I can't help but be super stoked for this.

Finished Ex-Heroes today, was a quick read for sure. I think people here might like it. I mean it's super heroes and zombies, what's not to like. Overall I'd say it was a good book but not a great one. Some of the characters, events were predictable, but on the whole it was an enjoyable read.
