In regards to PO, it's basically been erased from the timeline. it's not even listed on the 25th anniversary website. You can argue that it's a decent game and doesn't deserve that treatment and i wouldn't fight that. The story is garbage retcon nonsense that is bad even by Metal Gear standards but the actual game itself is decent enough. Surely kojima ok'ed it at the time so it's kind of a shame that it came out the way it did.
Twin Snakes is just mechanically broken. They added MGS2's mechanics but did not adjust the game's design to accommodate those changes. The example that's commonly brought up in regards to how that breaks the game is that you can basically stand still and shoot ocelot in the head instead of having a run-and-gun battle with him like MGS1 wanted you to have. They should've changed that fight to make the mgs2 stuff be a part of that battle, but that wasn't done. Again, the same main timeline ignores this release and only acknowledges it in the listings for releases of MGS1.
i wouldn't mind if either/both are included in a future collection but if they aren't it would be totally fine and understandable, as well.

How much did GZ sell on all platforms combined? Around 1.5 mil?
They shipped one million copies as of April. I don't think there's an exact sales figure.

i think there's validity to the idea of it having revengeance and portable ops.
i'd buy it for portable ops, which i've never played, and i'd looooove for a native MGS1 port at 1080/60 with cleaned up textures. no remake, basically just integral PC for PS4
