Kinda curious, how many people here have both the Vita and the PS4? I have noticed a bunch of my friends who all have a Vita, are still holding back in buying a PS4 because the lack of Japanese games on the system, and look like all of them think early 2015 will be the time to jump in. I guess I am still the only one with a PS4 until next year among my group.
Don't have a dreamcast sorry but I can play PSO2 on my PC.

Didn't Sony release numbers near launch that around half of PS4 owners also had a Vita?

Ended up dling Darkstalkers for PSP.
Figure if I have SFA3 PSP, may as well add this to the mix...

ahh memories. On PSP launch day, I plugged in some headphones, plopped in Darkstalkers, and just sat there listening to the menu music in awe:

then i couldn't really play it because the dpad was flat, but it plays really nice on Vita.
I have both but I haven't played anything on the PS4 that's worth writing about outside of Diablo 3. At this rate the next game I buy will be Persona 5. Or maybe Akiba's Trip if it's coming stateside on the PS4...
Personally, I think all of the PS2 era SMT games are still very playable and don't feel dated at all mechanically, just a bit in appearance (though they look fine for ps2 games). Persona games are very different from the other SMT games (other than combat system), so it really depends on what you're into.
If you play Persona for the social aspects and hate press turn combat, it's doubtful you'll dig the other SMTs. If you really like the press turn combat system and dungeon crawling, then I really think the other SMT games are even better suited to you than Persona is.
For example, Nocturne has a (infamous) miniboss early on that is hard as hell (if not impossible) unless you understand and exploit strengths/weaknesses/buffs/debuffs. The dungeons are complex, full of puzzles that need solving, etc. There's an entire (huge!) dungeon with extremely varied levels that's completely optional (though affects your ending). There's a deep plot, and you have npc friends, but your character is generally solo (plus his team of fused demons, obviously) and so there's no 'social' aspect.
Devil Summoner is perhaps the most at risk of becoming archaic, if only because it isn't turn based combat... but even the action combat still holds up imo. You summon your fused demons into the mini-arena and run around swinging and dodging, etc. It's got a cool overworld where you're essentially a detective, and the overworld skills of your fused demons help solve puzzles.
Digital Devil Saga is turn based combat, so also holds up. Very similiar in look/feel to Nocturne, it just is party based (iirc you have a party of 3 out of around 6 or so). Your characters -are- the demons, so there is no fusing. Your save potentially gives bonuses to starting DDS2, depending on what you accomplished.
You can't go wrong with any of them. The most archaic thing about them is the lack of trophies.
The EU price for Murasaki Baby is just too good to ignore. Definitely buying when I get home.
Bought Murasaki Baby
I don't know about US, but in EU Spelunky has already been on sale very, very often.
Spelunky it is, then.

I could say the same about all her cameos tbhHmmm... Kat really is the perfect ambassador for the vita, but she looks kind of off in the Soul Sacrifice Delta DLC. Kind of like some weird chick is wearing her clothes.
The SSD and ROA DLCs are just alternate costumes for your character.Hmmm... Kat really is the perfect ambassador for the vita, but she looks kind of off in the Soul Sacrifice Delta DLC. Kind of like some weird chick is wearing her clothes.

Dents? But the thing is plastic.VitaGaf, I'm in tears ç_ç yesterday my Vita fell for the first time. It was partly my fault as I left it in a "dangerous" place, and then my mother inadvertitely made it come down. Now it has two dents on top. I managed to keeping it mint for over a year... ç_ç
If you check in the PSPlus thread, he basically confirmed this
It wasn't on my wishlist but I could give it a try.
Jesus is the Vita version of Minecraft like made of bugs or what

It's been in bug fixing for about 2 months :It has been released?
Hay guys! Haven't really posed for a few pages, so did I miss anything?
Haven't been playing my Vita that much either :l; guess between getting used to coming back to college and doing a good amount of HW prevented me from playing much games.
Why is everyone talking about Gravity Rush being PS4 only, did I miss an announcement?
Everyone's freaking out over a *potential* PS4 announcement, lol.
You should get back into it with Murasaki Baby! Not a big time investment!![]()
Cool, maybe that Studio Japan RPG or Gurilla's new IP will finally surface
!
Couldn't agree more with the bolded XD; not that hard to pick up the Vita and play a quick run of Velocity X2 or survive a day in Don't Starve. Been playing SAO and the other PS+ games on and off (alongside PS1 Classic's I didn't give much time yet; love what I've been playing of Chrono Trigger
). Will get Murassaki Baby latter on (with DR 1 and 2 alongside other Vita stuff)....my backlog is just too big XD!

GAF's favourite insider shinobi602 has heavily hinted at it being a PS4 exclusive.
No. They were freaking out because it could be an SE mysterious title.
And then the whole GR2 is exclusive to PS4 or not.
Nope he hinted at original Gravity rush getting a ps4 port. He said nothing about GR2 AFAIK.

- We know Toyama is developing a "sort of a sequel" of Gravity Rush.
- Tearaway PS4 could be considered a "sort of a sequel" of Tearaway Vita (50% of new content)
What does this mean?
Gravity Rush 1 + new content (basically GR2) for PS4, named Gravity Rush: Subtitle
