Up near the top with FFVII. I just love a game that makes me feel good. Persona 4, Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross, Pokémon, etc.

I don't like what I am reading :'(All I can say is he left for negative reasons.
I'm curious, does anyone here think this game could end up being one of their favorite Final Fantasy games? Does the setting, characters, etc. from what we know interest you enough? If you do, let me know your favorite Final Fantasy game as well.
What?
I was just saying yesterday how FFIX made me happy playing it. I'm getting similar vibes. I agree.
Looks like the FF I've been waiting for since FF9. About fucking time.
Stella is in this dining area in the trailer.
Same chair design. The TGS trailer transitions into Accordo anyway so that much is clear.
Pretty cool consistency that the trailers are showing.

Sorry, I've been trying to follow the multiple FFXV threads, let me explain.
There seems to be a lot of celebration that Nomura is no longer directing (at least in the other thread), but scanning Wikipedia it looks like the only things he's directed so far is the Kingdom Hearts series?

You knew what he meant.
They probably won't say stupid crap like "My dream is but a fal'Cie's fancy now". There's no indication they will.
Nice catch. I assume this happens before the Leviathan invasion then?
But she is named Luna now or?
Its kind of disappointing how well this logic works with videogames. I mean if a girl in general wore a moon necklace you wouldnt think her name was moon related, but because its a videogame every character has to wear something related to their name.See the moon-shaped necklace? It'd be too much of a coincidence to have Luna, a character named after the moon, to have that kind of necklace.

Did people comment on the Xenoblade vibes of this trailer already?
Because I got serious Xenoblade vibes from this.

I really do think Stella is actually Luna now.
Look at this image.

Yes me![]()
One thing that I think was really cool from the trailer was how your friends help protect and fight for you when you were injured in combat. Strengthening bonds between characters through gameplay isn't easy to do and I think they accomplish it pretty well here.
My only concern is how scripted is this / how does combat actually work.
My god... I don't know what to say.
TGS this year has just been fantastic.
All I can say is he left for negative reasons.

Guys... what if... the woman in the logo is Stella/Luna?
I noticed the star too. And someone mentioned the black-haired girl has a necklace on too(you can't see all of it, but you see a bit). I'm wondering if they are related. If the black-haired girl is Luna, and they either have the same necklace or Luna gave the necklace to Stella, it might represent her relationship with her. Big moon and small star. Perhaps "big sister"/"little sister"? Moon protecting the star(Luna being Stella's protector)? These are just wild theories. It have star motif so i wont remove possibility that "Stella" is gone
either
1) "Luna" is simply her undercover identity. Stella is princess that Noctis kingdom enemy with. so it make sense that she wont introduce herself as Stella when she meet noctis.
2) Twin sister
Has it been confirmed the game shifted to the luminous engine?Minus the obvious bullshot quality aa, the gameplay trailer and even the e3 trailer look like hot garbage.

Luminous Engine delivers.
It's not like Nomura has done nothing but FFXV for eight years. Since 2006, he's been somehow involved with the creation of more than a few Kingdom Hearts games, The World Ends With You, Theatrhythms, Dissidias, Type-0, Crisis Core, Advent Children movie etc.

Assuming nomura left because of negative reasons and the game not turning out how he wanted, does that mean the final product will suffer for this?
Is this another case of FFXII? I know people enjoy FFXII, but I honestly feel that it suffered from the director stepping out at some point, and the game having some shifts in terms of tone (like changing the protagonist).
