Final Fantasy XV TGS 2014 Trailer | Lord Nomura giveth us His only Son so we may live

That's my theory as well, but I just noticed that the moon necklace also has a little star beside the moon, Stella means star so who knows, maybe Luna is a pseudonym Noctis is using to talk about Stella, or perhaps her name changed from Stella Nox Fleuret to Stella Luna Fleuret or something like that.

I thought Lucis was the name of the whole kingdom, maybe Insomnia is just the name of the city/capital. I mean it is part of Noctis' name (Noctis Lucis Caelum) and his father is Regis Lucis Caelum.

You might be right, but I was always under the notion that all the cities are far apart. I think Lucis/Insomnia is standalone.

'The Royal Capital' says otherwise, though. Hmm...

Finally got to watch the HQ footage from Gamersyde.

I need a combat overview trailer ASAP that details the moveset and how your party members work because it still looks pretty janky. The tag stuff could be pretty cool but the sequences in the trailer looked scripted.

Still, the rest is pretty damn amazing. Art style goes a long way but this looked impressive as fuck even on a technical level. Hope Tabata can finally bring this to an end and release it in late 2015/early 2016.

So large interconnected zones? I'm actually really happy with that. :)
Think a next-next-gen version of FFXII. It's not as tight and divided to small zones as FFXII, but much, much larger areas. When it was a PS3 game they were talking about only having load screens between these huge overworld areas, so I'm hoping that with the move to PS4 they've gone even further and just made one continuous world, though I'm not certain if that would work if we are supposed to travel in between at least 3-4 different countries, so maybe there are still some "end of Lucis overworld -> go this direction to move on to Nilfheim desert"

A continuous world would be amazing. It would be awesome to drive through it all the way with no pause.

.
The combat is basically Kingdom Hearts x Dark Souls. So somewhat more flashy & with some aerial combat like KH, but with weight behind every move that is perhaps a bit more like a weighty action RPG like Dark Souls. It can look a bit janky but I hope that it makes for a combat system where you can't just smash the attack button/command like in Kingdom Hearts games and have to time your attacks a bit more like in a Dark Souls game.

Damn, SE did it again. Their FF trailers are too good for me to not get hyped, even when I don't want to. Esspecially this one with dat gameplay.

I believe you SE, I believe. But it's your last chance!

Damn it, if these guys are really journeying for a chunk of the game to meet Luna/Stella for Noctis' sake then I'll fall in love right there. That sounds like such a fun trip.

They just make it as subtle as possible. Shakespeare is great inspiration.

The roots are still there. Noctis clearly couldn't have met Luna/Stella during his teenage years, there's a reason why he apologizes to have kept her waiting...assuming it's her. Star-cross'd lovers and all.

With Stella wearing a ring, wouldn't be surprised if they had a secret engagement Romeo and Juliet style, and Noctis tryna get to her even though he was banished or whatever.

Wonder if the childhood scene in other trailer, and the scene in the OG trailer where Stella faces off against Noctis are still part of the game. (please let this not be a drama style "someone got amnesia" card)

Lol! Wait so that's a clockface on them right? Not easy to see on mobile.

Hah, I thought they were flying watches in HD even.

Can't get over how good some parts look!

This is a fan analysis and going by some older material but I still found it a very engaging 12 minutes.

Christian Post makes a shit load of click bait articles when it comes to gaming. Literally daily.

Christian Post, The Fuse Joplin, The Epoch Times. They're the wonderful clickbait trio.

That was my point.

you know that's actually what I was thinking.

And boy that's a good direction to go into.Weighty combat is always better than floaty combat.

I am happy with deliberate the combat looks and it seems parries and ripostes are in too.

That trailer looked Damn good! Only thing that looked like it could use some extra work was the combat, the AI looked a bit dumb..
but other than that it looked amazing!!

I remember a place called "West Insomnia" in a old Versus XIII trailer. I don't think there will be a name change. Looks like it's just an area within the Lucis Kingdom.

I particularly enjoyed that scene from previous trailers. It definitely did not scream amnesia due to the fact that both Noctis and Stella looked sad and determined fighting each other.

Noctis is not supposed to know Stella until that dinner party where they meet. It honestly looks like the game went back to the drawing board as they fully shifted to next gen development.
But doesn't the E3 2013 trailer imply that Noctis & Stella are childhood friends? Maybe Noctis simply didn't recognize her if they haven't seen each other since childhood.

It looks pretty nice, but I still don't know what to think about the gameplay and the cast. It sure doesn't feel like a Final Fantasy game to me. I mean, it might turn out to be a good game, but I don't like the direction it seems to take the FF series in.

Kagari, the JP articles like Famtisu seems to imply that Episode Duscae is included in Type-0. Do you know if they are actually shipping with it or is it same thing with US? Product code for future DL?

Sounds like the same thing but I can ask around.
