Really? between that and the dinosaurs, I thought it was kinda obvious. Coincidence? Maybe. But still similar.
To be fair, FFXIII also had dinosaurs/giant creatures and flying enemies on Pulse.

People want XV, is the difference.
As much as I enjoyed LR business aside, that was my point.
XIV:ARR has had to have had some affect on restoring the FF brand since XIII.
XV people really want, I hope it does really good.
someone updated their avatar~ :O
To be fair the part you worked on was the best lol.

nice analysis. this was Nomura's first Adamantoise, right? i'd say it's pretty awesome
Kinda like the old games, just tweaked in scale. I don't think any FF game gave you full rein of exploring the continent you start on. You have some freedom to walk around it, but it's confined into the area of where you are in the story, and you move from area to area as the story progresses, only gaining full access later in the game when you find vehicles that allow such access. People look at old FF games' world maps and quickly write it off as being too big to accomplish, but forget you only explore one area of a continent at a time. And even with vehicles that allow a broader range of access, that's only while you are IN the vehicle. When you exit, you are still confined to the immediate area of exploration. Most of it, sure. Just don't expect Skyrim or other western sandbox, open world RPG. What FFXV most likely would provide is a reasonably large "closed open" world with semi-linear direction towards to the next story progression point, but filled with a lot of side paths and freedom to go off-road and explore. What I meant by "closed open" is that the field area appears to be very open-ended, but are still bounded by the plot, so that you wouldn't be able to jump to the final area in the game with high level mobs at the start of the game.

That FF XIV scare must have done something. No more announcing games that aren't getting released in at least 18 months, pls.
Shipped. Sold to consumers is much less.
I think Kagari is superbly hyped but at the same time is consciously driving up all her caution and mindfulness of disappointment at once.
Its like an extreme situation of dissonance and a strange mix of sheer excitement and worry![]()
What? You are aware that the open worlds were revealed by Nomura before Xenoblade was even announced? And Final Fantasy XIII had giant creatures roaming the open area before Xenoblade was released.
Final Fantasy XV is just following that.
I'm just not going to expect much and hopefully be pleasantly surprised when I actually play through the final game. WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN.
and then toriyama appears and we get lightning plastered everywhere somehow in FFXV!
YOU KNOW YOUR THINKING IT KAGARI AS A WORST CASE SCENARIO!!!

I am sure FFXV will blossom into a respectable open world at least at the end of the game as per FF tradition.
But I would be surprised if this a game that offers a large margin of freedom.
Heck the XIII sequels did.why wouldn't this.

Yeah, I know where the fanbase is and the hardware difference in the region, but I expected the X1 versions to at least be within the #500-1,000 ranges. You do realize that PS4 has a larger install base and a large majority of FF fans are on PS3/4 right? Even with the 360's install base advantage the PS3 versions of the XIII titles doubled the 360 ones in sales.

yeah keep lying to yourself meanwhile all of us will be true to ourselves and get carried away by the hype train! we regret nothing!!!! ;p
Nomura's first Adamantoise was in FFV, I believe.

Not sure if this confirms anything, but the Type 0 pamphlet shows the adamantoise section and a battle scene from the trailer. Possibly both will be included in the demo.
Gryvan please.

You won't get fooled.I really think this game will be very good. And we'll learn that sooner than later with the Demo.
I really think getting hype is warranted here. They won't hold back with this game. The trailers show far more than the XIII trailers ever let on.
Every showing was really solid. No need to think it will be even close to being bad.
Take a leap of faith. This one's always been the more promising one ever since 2006.
No doubt it will offer a large margin of freedom but i hope it won't be bland open world. Trailer showed us we can travel to big area but it feels empty beside the enemies
Somnus gets replaced by a new single from the next Leona Lewis album.
I've found some old gifs of FFvsXIII build, and just made a comparison with the FFXV new trailer... I have to say that besides now its much better, before they were doing a pretty good job anyway!! =o
I'm loving this gameplay though! Remember me so much Kingdom Hearts, what is, imo, a very good thing!

Kinda reminds me of a combination of many different Adamantoise designs. It's new(very much FFXV's original take on the classic enemy, unlike Garula and the Goblins), but it's tusks' double edges might be slightly inspired by Amano's Adamantoise design, and it's "rhino horn" seems to be inspired by FFXI's Adamantoise variant. Interestingly enough, Amano's Adamantoise design is the only one with those kinds of shaped tusks and FFXI's variant type is the only Adamantoise with a rhino-like horn.

You do realise clicking on a YouTube video out of interest doesn't actually translate to sales, right?Despite this incredible delay, people want it more than ever. That's some brand power.

Not so different than most real world road trip areas then?
Really? That's awesome! Is there a sort of "what we know so far" from the TGS media?it's already been confirmed that the trailer was recorded from whats in the demo
i really miss controlling an airship, i wonder if we'll have that in XV, i know people have been saying to think of XII in regards to world map, but really, flying on an airship and seeing a town in the distance and landing near it would be fantastic
Nomura said they edited the old trailer at slow speed so we can see character's movement.
The new trailer seems slow to me or they changed combat speed.
And i still don't have a clue how we can use magics, it seems we don't have MP bar so i think we will use them for a number of times
For what it's worth, jrpg demos aren't the best representation of the final product.
Due to the time frame in which this demo is released and the unannounced release date of the product, my guess would be that Square is mainly using it to gauge how to tweak gameplay mechanics and if some story-related things/dialogue need adjusting based on feedback from the demo.
That being said, I have a lot of faith in the OST of this game though. Very good music indeed.
If they pull this off(and right now, what we seen is impressive as hell), I hope they continue this onward into the series. No more hallway simulators. This looks(from what we've seen) more of how the FF series should be, exploration-wise.
