Lone Survivor, with headphones. It's incredible, clever, and genuinly scary. Just play it with headphones and with the lights off!

Forget about SH2HD, play the original.

Lone Survivor is fantastic. I haven't played Corpse Party but SH2HD is an awful port and 999 is hardly a horror game (also worth playing, though).

As said already SH2HD is kind of a bad version of the game, I regret my purchase. There were some decisions made in remastering the game that really hurt it, such as the decision to remove the fog in places. That fog really added to the horror atmosphere. Having played both the original and the HD remake, I can't really recommend the remake at all.

You're right, I did get satisfaction complaining about SH2HD.

I would go Lone survivor. Corpse Party is fun but it's more disturbing than scary.

Just so its known, I don't really care about the game having a scare factor, I doubt I can really be disturbed by a game. I am in it more for the atmosphere.

Framerate seems good but I've only played the tutorial so far so I can't really say much.

This is the first time I've played Frozen Synapse so idk about the differences between the original and this one.

Yeah, Jeanne d'Arc is a very streamlined, understandable, hard-to-lose game. That might sound like I'm being dismissive, but I'm not. Despite its simplicity, I think it's a far batter game than any of the Disgaeas.

Once you've cut your teeth on Jeanne d'Arc, you are placed to play Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together, aka the single greatest SRPG ever made. Jumping in at the deep end and starting with Tactic Ogre might be too much.

Wait, there is going to be another SAO game? ....I mean, didn't Hallow Fragment just come out recently? I know it has been out in Japan for a while (I think it came out early this year) but still, this is a nice surprise .

I do wonder what 'game' are they going to have the game take place in. There are three possible locations they can work with; the Fairy MMO (WITHOUT the crappy story; just....please, ignore EVERYTHING that happened in the second half of S1 Bamco...please X(), Gun Gale Online (though they would have to incorporate shooting mechanics into the game....something that might require a lot of work considering how they already have the core gameplay of SAO:HF to work with) or UnderWorld (which seems to be the best fit; brand new world from the latest ark alongside the potential for a complete clean slate

Hehe it'll never be a shooter. In all of the volumes of SAO that I read, never did Kirito use a weapon other than a sword.

Unless of course if the game has some co-op/pvp which features other characters.

Edit: Forgot Kirito used a handgun on GGO.
