PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

I really hate how they renamed it "Gods" Eater here, hope they don't do that again if God Eater 2: Rage Burst gets localized.
It's a great game though. In a nutshell; faster paced monster hunter with a great story. Memorable characters with actual development. In-depth crafting system + creating your own bullets. Combat is great too with your weapon being an all-in-one sword + gun + shield. No need to pick a class and be restricted in weapon choices like monster hunter.
Definitely one of my favorites, and that's from someone who hates Monster Hunter. This game I loved though.

The original game's OP is badass, too.

Okay. I didn't mean to be arrogant/disrespectful to the game Danganronpa. I just bought it along with Demon Gaze just a few moments ago from GameStop since Best Buy or any other retailer seems to carry them.

$79.98 total. I'm taking it, that these are the best bang for my buck from what VitaGAF is telling me :)

Congrats for the 64GB purchase, Omerta!

Congrats for the 64GB purchase, Omerta!

Thanks!

Incidentally, me buying a 64 card is testament to the vita's game catalogue. I say this because I totally need one and I do not like JRPGs at all.

Therefore, regardless of what the popular misconception may be... There is a shit ton of quality content for all tastes on this little machine.

My vita is finally almost here... I'm surprised I've been able to avoid DR2 spoilers this long.

Vita Phat 1000 or Vita Slim 2000? And congrats!

Thanks!

I wish the naysayers that hate the Vita would realize this.

Just finished Danganronpa. That ending... why you do this to me?

Fantastic game, loved it.

Just did as well, despite knowing some things about the ending, it was still... Affecting. Now I have to resist spoiling myself any more than I have. Thankfully I mostly just know things from the light novels now, Danganronpa 2 is still mostly a mystery. Don't know how long I can hold out though. I thought I'd be able to enjoy and finish 999 before trying to get DR2 but I don't know...

I don't know enough about the Zero Escape series yet to be disappointed that it's dead in the water now (maybe someday), but I'm glad DR3 is pretty much assured I guess. Hopefully "Another Episode" is a good indicator that they are going to increase the production value next time.

It makes me feel happy every time I see someone in here get a 64 GB card or a new Vita and are genuinely happy about it. Despite all the Vita naysayers, I at least know people in here get it and are able to get past the BS vita has no games stereotypes.

And what actually makes me more happy is when the people in here who may just have a PS3 or PS4 are still able to talk about Vita without buying into the basing elsewhere as well.
(and the awesome gifs don't hurt either)

Also, the talk in here about NFSMW on vita convinced me to give it a shot. Don't usually go for racers but $5 is well in the "impulse buy" territory. Hope it turns out as good as you all say.

Oh I didn't even see that Crazy Taxi was part of this sale. What version is this, is it any good? And the most important question, does it have the old soundtrack with the offspring songs and such? If it is at all decent, $2.50 is a tempting price.

I'm shocked how much money I'm about to spend on this flash sale. Shocked. I think I'm absolutely addicted to buying things for my Vita.

I dont ever post in here but I just wanted to say that I love my Vita. Its the greatest little gaming machine (besides my PC) I have. Havent played much on it lately but Im gonna play some Velocity 2X this weekend and some more Dragon's Crown. Still waiting for episode 5 of The Walking Dead to hit so I can start the second season up.

I really really want to buy MotorStorm Apocalypse, but I told myself I wasn't going to get anymore games for a while. I will resist >:l

Disgaea 5 will use the power of the PS4 to make it impossible on PS3...
I guess there won't be a Vita version :(

http://gamestalk.net/disgaea5-5/

No Disgaea 5 for Vita. They can't port it as-is due to PS4's memory. He said if it'll be for handheld device, it'll be for Vita's successor.

Vita successor with 8gB RAM, I'm waiting for you. I'll be playing three games at once!

In all seriousness, I don't see any reason why Vita can't handle it. They'll have to redo resource management, but it should be doable.

I can see Disgaea 5 on Xperia Z5.

So Vita's last Disgaea might be D2?
I don't really mind but..

You won't see a Vita sucessor at all.

The best you guys can hope is for Nintendo to have a great portable. That or buying a PS4 and resort to remote play everything.

I don't even like being negative, but I feel that this is almost guaranteed to happen. Hopefully I'm wrong, though.

I don't think it's being negative. At this rate it would be a realistic view. It needs a miracle for a Vita successor to exist.

Sony are reconsidering every market following terrible losses... There is no way we'll see another vita.

In other news: we don't need one :)

I was planning on picking up Nfs: Mw for vita but that size tho. 4.4 Gb! I have 4 8 Gigs and they're all full. -__-

Ugh, that price is so good tho.

I haven't been paying attention to TGS, but no Disgaea 5 for Vita? FUUUUUU

Disgaea is perfect for a handheld. Sucks D2 will be the last one

I finally beat the third boss in Rogue Legacy. Took me a fucking month from the time I beat the second boss.

Ah, so we're never getting a portable Disgaea 5 then?

Seriously though, I wanted to ask you all a question about the hypothetical Vita successor:

I think we can all agree that the likelihood of Sony releasing a Vita successor is unlikely. But let's assume Sony decides that there's still a market for dedicated, portable hardware; do you think Sony's poor Vita support would deter consumers from investing in new hardware? We're only three years into the system's life, and already Sony has called it quits (in terms of in-house developed games at least). Have Sony preemptively marred the success of future handhelds following their mishandling of the Vita?

That's another reason they won't support another handheld. I'm sure they're aware that the hardware wouldn't sell and they would have minimal to no third-party support.

I'd love to be wrong though!

Edit: I also never received the 64gb gif, but I purchased that before I was able to post. And before the gif existed. I suggest the 64gb for ALL Vita users. ALL OF THEM. Waiting for a 128gb though...

a Vita successor is possible - the Vita and memory cards are earning them good profits.
Unless they are making a loss per console sold, there's no reason why they would not reconsider (and if they just wanna give up the Japanese gaming market (still largely handheld focused) to Nintendo)

Dreamworld...

New vita redesigned with remote play in mind... Control layout of the DS4... Better wifi adapter... Beefed up specs...

That'd be a realistic dreamworld, if I was going crazy if throw in 3rd party memory card support too!

All I need is a 1080p screen and Vita backwards compatibility. Maybe better sticks as well.

My vita is finally almost here... I'm surprised I've been able to avoid DR2 spoilers this long.

I hate the waiting, just got my unit myself yesterday. The struggle is real!

Same with the DR2 spoilers, I practically know nothing of it. My next day off is Sunday, so hoping to start seriously tackling DR1 by then, just did the prologue last night.

People are hyped for Project Morpheus despite Sony being the worst in supporting their non-core initiatives (Eyetoy, Eye, Move, 3D, PlayStation Mobile,
Vita
).

I can't even imagine a hypothetical Vita successor at all.

I'm hoping that the 4DS will be a good portable like the DS was (I don't like the 3DS at all) and have more power than a Vita. Also, make it a bit more like smartphones, with yearly iterations.

Cel Damage HD + Street Fighter 3 Alpha Max for 5.80$. I think I made the most of my 7.28$

I could have bought more especially since I have been waiting for the WRC / MUD / MotoGP games to go on sale but I have to control myself.

I expect Sony's next portable gaming machine like the botched Xperia Play. The console market of Japan is shrinking but the mobile games sector reigns supreme. I'll be worried as to how they would deliver on this though.

My 64 is full, even having deleted all the games I've plat'd and I've been resorting to slowly deleting games I still want to play. Yet I'm still buying more games tonight.

I desperately want a 128
256
gig card.

I wish they'd release another handheld. I doubt they ever will, but if they did, and it was fully vita BC plus made for remote play, there's no way I'd be able to resist buying one.

SFA3 is so good, such a big roster and handful of game modes. Great title.

Debating on Sonic All-Stars racing and Cel Damage HD now.

Yup. For a smooth $229.

hmm so SF3AM is really worth it? hmmm

That Sanic game is good, I'm just a n00b who can't drift so I've stopped playing it. Keep in mind though that Cel Damage HD for the Vita has no multiplayer options at all. Although you also get the PS3 / PS4 versions if you really want the multi.

I had that game on my Asian account before and lost lots of hour into it. It's one of the last traditional Street Fighter games that didn't incorporate the "ink" style / new combo mechanics of SF4. Its a fast paced fighter similar to UMvC3, which I really loved so this is the real deal for me.
