Well, putting aside the feeling of protection of a digital character, the demo did give a reason why players would want to care for DD. If I'm understanding it correctly, when Boss goes back into the jungle after meeting Quiet, and that gunshot rings out (and all the animals run past), that was one of the soldiers shooting the pup's mother. Bit of a "Bambi" situation there.
That, and it's a dog with an eyepatch. What's not to love?
I noticed that too, I think it might be "DD, I'm counting on you" since the guy doing the stream translations quoted that as a phrase someone said, but I'm not sure.

Fantastic job! Pictured this in my head first time seeing the footage.
They doubled down on the 2015 release window during TGS with the dubbed trailer.
I agree it seems unlikely, but they haven't changed the date yet, despite having the chance to.

It's nothing to do with when it releases, the formula had run it's course by the third one and even if they outdo Uncharted 2, it still won't be enough to knock the other contenders down.
I agree.
As much as I love Uncharted, I think there are better GOTY contenders releasing next year.
Which is not to say it's impossible. I mean, we're pretty much speculating about games nobody here has played yet.
