I think using a companion will just have an added point deduction on your mission score like reflex mode.
I also said that I'd like it if Quiet could be given a non-lethal rifle. So far it seems like buddies are only for bloodthirsty killing machines. Then again, playing without support is a huge part of high-rank runs but still, it would be nice.

Also - i hope stuff like tracking a VIP or hunting for targets in the woods is made easier if you take DD with you. Put him on the trail and he tracks people through the woods/dark. Stops and growls and haunches down when you get close to targets.
