It fires full auto as soon as you get it. Default setting.

The reload time is horrific though. You /need/ to take a reload perk when you run it or it will probably get you killed.

The ending is lol-worthy.

I do wonder if Bungie scrapped stuff late in development and started over, and Activision would not budge on delaying the game. There is quite a bit that makes you scratch your head and wonder what was happening behind the scenes.

Maybe Bungie planned for this to be PS4/Xbox One only, until Activision came in late in development and mandated that it be put on the PS3/360 as well.

It's ridiculous to speculate, but I would be interested in a truthful "behind the scenes of Destiny" documentary.

No offense but it took you until you saw that to figure out that Bungie cut things from the game? Devs cut stuff from every game. Destiny isn't a static experience. It's not meant to just be what it was when it came out two weeks ago. Alot of the things that were cut will eventually make into the game.

I know how it works, it was just an eye opener seeing it all put together in video form. It's one of my most played games and it's fun as hell, but damn that video just made me look at it a bit differently. Some stuff pointed out in the review are inexcusable, like how Bungie kept talking the game up as being a living, breathing world and that when you acquire weapons people will what you went through to acquire said weapons. In actuality the world is dead and acquiring weapons and armor are way more random than they made it seem.

Shingen-E or Gallahad-E for an AR? I haven't really used ARs, so I'm not sure which is better. Weapons with low impact rating scare me! D:

Also, is there another known "the cave" location? Found somewhere that spawned constantly even while I was stood in the room (great for that annoying 3 hit super kill bounty).

LONG POST WARNING

Maybe how I posted my point wasn't the best way to do it.

sorry to all who have been deeply effected by it and will set up some sort of helpline for you all to call so you can get someone who can talk you through your pain.

But my point still stands, I have been playing this game for just under 80 hours now.
I have spent A LOT of that time having to grind and farm engrams just for them to turn blue.

I was excited about the promise that "the queens wrath" was coming. I was like thank fuck for that as honestly if I have to go through one of those strikes again I don't know what I will do. I have been trying to get to what people have been saying "is an amazing raid"

But I simply cannot do this without a quite frankly painful experience.
The way it is written makes it sound like there is almost a chance of new content. which this game is dying for, PVP is solid I love it, but I want to experience the raid that has been so heavily advertised recently. but not like this. Not with having to grind out really really difficult missions just to be given coins, or having to shoot one place for hours at a time. If activision wants me to buy armor for $2.50 then damn, just let me, as I just want to ENJOY the game, not be absolutely destroyed by it at any given time.

Now as much as people hate to say it and I have in the past defended the fact that destiny is not an MMO, but you see it has done something that truly baffles me, how can my absolute favorite developer since I was like 13 do something that takes the grind and absolutely horrible use of RNG then lock content away behind it.

Now I get they want you to learn the ins and outs of the game as the raid is difficult and I can get that, but what I cannot get is the fact that there isn't really much story. There is however a lot of dodging the story at any point "we could tell you the stories" "I have no time to tell you now" ect ect,. I have actually learnt 100 times more about destiny by reading cards, now if this was a card game, then well it'd be up there with magic as it's interesting as heck. But no its a video game.

This game has a super short and quite frankly incoherent story which never does anything or goes anywhere, WHO THE HELL WAS THAT OTHER GUARDIAN?!
Well without reading the cards, good luck finding that out.

I just want to say that, I hoped and dreamed this would be a Halo type shooter that then mixed the vast and rich lore and awesomeness of an MMO, sure with some grinds but with rewards, you know what would have been even nicer?

Well the fact that your subclass still ranks once you hit 20, maybe they should have just let that number increase to whatever the number was AND THEN add the light point on to that so the player at least had the illusion of getting somewhere.

Shingen is easier to keep on target believe it or not. If the low impact scares you, find a Cydonia, better stability and better impact.

Totally, I expect there's alot of bottom line discussions and some interesting marketing scheme crap going on here. I honestly think the reason the game wasn't delayed (even though it's completely commonplace now) is because it would conflict with Call of Duty and of course cause unrest amongst stock holders. I also think we're being screwed on any real content until December because the player base for Destiny and Call of Duty are the same target audience, so too much content or not being bored enough to buy Call of Duty might cause sales numbers to drop. I fucking hate publicly traded companies (publisher in this case).

Yes, all of these headshot bounties will make excellent use of my exotic pulse rifle that holds 42 rounds. :-/

This game has fucked me up so much physically. I go to sleep late and feel like a zombie at work. I'm so addicted and it's scary because this is how I was with Gunbound. Shit almost ruined my life. Wonder if I should start pulling back.

When my first thought on wake up is to check the bounties and do a few small missions then I know there is a problem lol.

Hahaha
Same. Went to bed at 4am today. Woke up 4 hours later. And what's the first thing i do?
Turn on my ps4 and see what bounties i can complete before i leave to work.

I can't believe how repetitive this game is, how lame the "new content" is but here i am browsing gaf, thinking about the game. Planning what i'm going to do when i get home.
This game is crack.

The game has been giving me tons of Legendary weapons, but no armor :( :(

I did finally snag a Legendary Auto Rifle "Dr. Nope" and Machine gun "Zombie Apocalypse". I finally can stop using the oh so blah scout and pulse rifles.

I know that feel.

Went to bed at 2am last night doing Strikes and Bounties, woke up at 5am to do some new Bounties before work and hopefully get lucky at the cave. Here at work now thinking about what missions I need to be doing when I get home.

This is serious stuff lol

after doing a good chunk of the raid last night i think bungie is completely insane for the flawless raider/'no deaths on fire team during a raid' trophy.

even with awesome gear there are sooooo many places you can die from a misstep, missed jump or failed stealth section.

Im pretty amazed how quick my body adapted to 4.5-5 hours of sleep per night since last week. I didnt even get much sleep over the weekend either.

The game is crack indeed.

Do you "burn" your Queen's mission if you attempt it and get disconnected? Because with all the drops lately, I might just do these solo. Managed the first one okay, the final Mars mission one.

Also, do these missions give legendary weapons or just gear?

It's preference, both are just as viable. I prefer Galahad but I won't deny that Shingen just melts people.
Thanks, I'll give them both a shot. :)

How are people able to do the restoration mission for the bounty multiple times? Feels like I'm out of the loop..
Keep abandoning the mission until you get it.

Start pulling back; it won't punish you for playing a little less intensely, especially if you're already 26+.

I'm addicted too but it's definitely worth recognizing a potential bleed over into your real world life and being proactive.

Just need advice on my gameplan here to reach level 30

Current Level: 27

So I have an exotic helmet, legendary chest and gauntlets and rare boots. Since I have been told that raid gear is needed since the legendary stuff maxes at 27 light, while raid gear maxes to 30 like exotic gear, I am focusing more on getting ascedant shards and on getting new weapons.

If this the right strategy? If I buy legendary boots they won't get me to 30, upgrading the legendary armour won't get me to 30, so it will just be a waste of ascendant shards no?

Looks like I need to keep playing the raid and finding those chests to get raid gear, and getting vanguard marks to get new weapons.

Any suggestions?

Yeah well when you're playing with friends daily, you cant take too much of a break because then you'll end up falling behind in the Level department. I gotta stay up to par with my bros.

I am actually scared, because that's exactly how it is. My brain has been obliterated by Destiny. And to think, I thought this game was shit lol.

The problem with me is I am a perfectionist and Destiny feels like I can never quite reach that goal and it's constantly sucking me in. One thing Bungie did right is the gameplay loop. With how much time I've put in, I hope Destiny actually does last for a while.

I'll feel behind everyone else and get jealous about the cool loot that I'm missing out on. I want to keep up with everyone here for raids and such. And yes, I really should start looking into pulling back....after I get rank 3 for Vanguard and Crucible :(

Question: Does Xur's items always contain upgrades for your second class?

I just realized that the hunter helmet from 2 weeks ago and the chest piece from last weekend both had bonuses for blade dancers, but not Gunslingers.

And yes, I'm a part of the seemingly small minority of Hunters that prefer Gunslinger.

There should be a 10 min cool down penalty at the very least for any quitters in a Crucible match. That would eliminate penalise genuine people who have been perhaps disconnected or had to leave because they have a life. For everyone else they need to wait every time before jumping back in.

I had a dream last night that my friend (who doesn't even play Destiny) tried to blink behind me. I turned around and slapped him in the face. Then I woke up...

I switched from a Shingen to a Silvered Hushwind-D. it has low impact but I find it doesn't matter, fully upgraded it has almost a maxed out stability bar, and its magazine is twice as big as the Shingen.

I have both classes maxed with Hunter and also prefer Gungslinger. Yesterday I got an exotic helmet that gives my golden gun one more shot. Also, got the exotic splinter cell helmet for the blade dancers.

lvl 26 weekly heroic / I'm at last boss but can't take all the ads solo. / xbox one / add me peeps! GT: AllGoodInMyHood

If you want to wait till tonight, I can help you out.

What I was saying to E92 (had to double check that wasn't actually you I was responding to!) was that if one game has already almost ruined his life and he senses any similarity in his behavior patterns, he should act accordingly. Yes, in your case playing a bit less would mean taking longer to catch up with your bros, but if it were going to have any kind of serious negative impact on the rest of your life that would be the more important point.

I don't think its limited to the second class, that just how the RNG worked out for you. The Helm I got from him gave me Striker bonuses, which is the first Titan class.

I have rarely seen a game with a core gameplay loop as polished and sharp as the one in Destiny.

For people who don't like grinding/loot hunting/farming/etc, it's probably entirely unappealing, but for people who love the gunplay, the pvp, and the pve, it's space magic.

Fortunately, I'm one of the latter. This game is my modern day PSO, only better, because it's a finely crafted FPS.

Now they just need to hit 60fps and I'll call it the mighty GOAT.

Exotic bounty time GAF!

What's better..Pocket infinity or Super Good Advice?

And which bounty is easier?

Pocket infinity seems easy, I am dismantling 10 rare fusion rifles for the next step, that seems to be the toughest part. I really want to know how the Pocket Infinity is in PvP.

From what I saw, there really aren't many Exotic pieces that support Gunslinger in a big way. The big one is the Achlyophage Symbiote, which is a helmet that gives you an additional bullet for the Golden Gun, and it's hard to imagine it getting any better than that.
