Might get OlliOlli and Entwined.
TOTP: Get Infamous: First Light. It's good! And don't forget to check out the sales.

Not related to this actual quote, but I've played a ton of Ar Tonelico 1 (about 4 hours in now?) since yesterday and I know you said you don't know how well it holds up, but I think both the gameplay and the art style hold up incredibly well, I am thoroughly enjoying it. I actually think the battle system has enough depth to be fun even with today's standards, and man the sprites are really beautifully drawn and seem very timeless, especially with all the Pixel style indies out today. And my god, the sound in this game is fantastic. I left the main intro theme on while doing the dishes because I liked it so much. Definitely interested in continuing to noSurge after.

AT1&2 are real gems. One series I'd really love a HD-collection on Vita for, the other being Xenosaga I-III. And Shadow Hearts 1&2. Heck, give me rereleases of nearly every highgrade PS2-JRPG on Vita and I'd be set for life.

Would also make the wait for the next Legend Of Heroes game easier, thanks for reminding me GAF. :(

Man, I want to like games like Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I have a really hard time getting into fighting games. Though the reason is pretty obvious, it is because no one physically near me plays video games, and my internet here is too shitty for online competitive, so I have to play alone, and fighting games are lame solo. Plus, I have so many awesome free fighting games from PS+ like BlazBlue and Skullgirls (and some bad ones too like PSABR, that goddamn shitty scoring system) that it seems like a waste trying another fighting game.

I guess some genres are just not for me. Though I will still play the everloving fuck out of Smash for Wii U. Still can't enjoy the 3DS version though, hurts my hands.

I am in a similar situation. Noone around here plays fighters, not even for fun. I only managed to somewhat be good at Blazblue: Calamity Trigger. Even bought an arcade stick (or two) and held my own online. But it requires serious dedication and time (as well as a better internet connection than mine), which I'd rather spend on other games, and after getting my ass handed to me on the sequel and with my forray into SF4, I decided the genre just isn't for me.

Oh hey, great price on Monster Monpiece. Fun little digital card game that gives you plenty of chances to get cards single player. Story's pointless (not even funny like other compile heart games), you can skip cutscenes if you want but it's an excuse for many many NPC battles.

Combat is pretty fun and strategic, you pick between melee, ranged, heal and buff characters, and basically decide who will back up your front line--healers to heal your melee units, ranged to deal extra damage from a distance, buffers to boost your melee unit (but who are less useful if the melee unit dies). And you can "stack" two cards of the same type to power up, one of them ore fun digital card games IMO, little pressure for microtransactions and the gameplay is designed for the screen unlike certain completely unreadable Magic games.

I read all the story up until the one before the last chapter. They started that Ouroboros shit and I skipped all text, including the post-game.

I'm puzzled as to why THAT set you off since the entirety of the game is the most generic RPG of all time and clearly wasn't getting any better

Great, and here I am still waiting for NA sale of Monster Monpiece.

Oh boys, Shadow Hearts on Vita. I would pay for that.

For some reason everything seems to get EU sales for Vita. Demon Gaze or something I was looking at was on sale a couple weeks ago with of course no matching sale in the US. I don't really know why we have different sales, tastes can't be THAT different, certainly not our tastes in obscure japanese games anyway.

If that's the case, I'm going to buy more PSN card to wait for next week.

For the majority, I'd say it's really different. EU people seems pretty open about anime games and fanservice compare to NA.

Don't we get more NISA and XSEED games than EU anyway? "open" about sexuality maybe, but the sales seem to be fine in the US regardless. Plus Demon Gaze wasn't THAT fanservicy I thought.

If Europe is getting such sale, I bet North America will be getting it in the coming weeks.

We haven't gotten the last several EU sales I wanted. Though we've occasionally got a PS+ game after EU got it like Dragon's Crown

I'm interested in Rogue Legacy, Steamworld Dig and Crimsonland (65% off, 5 weeks after it released)

Too bad that the Vita versions of Child of Light and Pure Chess aren't on sale.

Fixed that for you, Canada is much more open minded as a whole than the US.
More reason for me to move to Canada.

As a resident of this country I have to agree. The weather here is so cold that to contrast, the people are just warmer/friendlier all together :P Great country to live in if you don't mind going through over half a year of -30C temperatures lmao. At least there are games to play when there's snow storms aha!

I love cold so that wouldn't bother me lol.

Depends where in Canada you live - I'm just south of Toronto, Ontario and it's hotter here on average than most of New York State which is even further south of me.

I'll wait until next wed(PS+ announcement) for any purchase, but I'm afraid this will be a bloodbath for my wallet because of PS3 discounts. After Burner, BGE HD, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Braid, Dead Nation (PS3/Vita is crossbuy right?), Trine 1...

My bad. To tell the truth, I haven't interact with Canada people, and the internet often lumps US with Canada as a whole so I sometimes just mistook US and NA together.

Don't lump us together with those filthy casuals hmph >:(

LOL jokes aside, with Natural Doctrine coming next week, who here is going to be playing it, and on which platform? Idk if there is an OT coming or not, but I'm actually very intrigued by the game's complexity. I will most likely going to be doing an easy play through on my Vita, see how that goes and (if possible) then change to normal.

I'm too busy with Neptunia Rebirth 1 and Ar noSurge. I'd be much more interested in the game if not for some impressions about the cheating AI.

So, just read that EU has to wait until October 8th for their next plus games, such bullshit.

I presume this is because the US updates on Tuesdays and EU wednesday - and the tuesday is still September.

If you want us to abide by when the US gets everything, Sony, move our update day to Tuesdays, or just gives us the games early. I pay for a service that updates a game collection on the first wednesday of the month, get your shit together.

Grrr.

Other than that i'm having a good day, thanks.

I have the limited edition pre-ordered, Vita version. It'll take around a month to arrive, unfortunately.

I too heard about that a lot, but having read this RPGamer review, which gave it a 4/5, it doesn't seem that bad?

Main reason why I never order limited editions from NISA :S If they put their stuff up on Amazon I'd gladly get it, but through their store, with slow inconsistent shipping? No thank you lol.

I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I have 40 in PSN credit and have been going back and forth on D4, One Piece Red, Project Diva and recently watched a trailer for Natural Doctrine which wasn't on my radar at first because of some bad word of mouth but now is. It's a strong contender now and coming with a slight discount would help push me giving me extra left over to get that GoTG pinball table.

OT? Does anyone have a PS credit card? How do the points work? Can you just get 10% back as PSN credit? I make enough purchases on PSN that it might be worth it (I use an amazon card for now)

Inconsistent what now? At least in the US I've never had their stuff arrive any later than day of release, Fairy Fencer F was actually a day early.

I will not buy it on release day, but not becuse I will wait until it get cheap but because I have no money ;)

And as far as I "know" there is only one version of the game and that my friend is the one with a big V as in victory!

fake edit: read parakeetman's cryptic real life tutorials from the impressions thread, check out gamerfuzion's review and read the RPG gamer review if you wanna pep before it comes out :)

Maybe they just wanted the DriveClub Plus Edition to launch on the same day as the full game.

You answered your own question :P Shiz doesn't live in the US and neither do I.

High five brotha! And yes, that is exactly what I have been doing. Preparing myself mentally for punishment ahaha.

I don't really blame NISA, it's mostly the customs and post office from my country.

Yeah, and unfortunately the faster shipping options have prices that can be outrageous. Put it together with customs, and yes you are screwed...

Man, the Vita number in Japan keeps dropping. That's depressing to see.

Considering how there aren't any significant new games right now, and that it's still selling better than last year, I don't really see how it's depressing.

What's depressing is how dead the Vita is at retail in NA.

Last year at this point Sony have announced a new model so people were waiting. And there wasn't any significant software. Now it's just the first situation.

I guess things should start changing to some degree once the next wave of games arrive to the system. Problem is I don't see anything that could sell the system to new audiences.

3ds apart(but not that much), all the numbers are really depressing, looking at this week sales one would think that Japan is a dying market.
