I must be livin under a rock, I just found out about the loot cave today. after finding out where it is, I realize what all the people were doing in that area all the time.
Can you explain more about what WoW does? The only MMO I ever got deep into was The Old Republic (bleh) and did pretty much all the hardest raids/operations in endgame until Bioware started focusing on player housing.
But it is not viable for me to rely on drops , No and that is the problem. I care dont if you can buy shit in order to level up but the player should be able to rely on the drop they get.
And both the cave and strike are repetitive but at least cave has given me more reward than doing a hour long strike.
I hear it counts assists. Just play conservatively. Control is probably a good game mode for it. I wish I'd get this bounty
Easiest way to get a kill/death spread of 25 for the Invective? Seems nearly impossible...

If what my friend said is true then each piece of raid gear is 7 shards per upgrade. There's usually 3 upgrades per piece of legendary gear.
So 7*3*3, 63 plus whatever it takes to upgrade exotic which assuming it's 6 and also has 3 shield upgrades that requires shards then 18. I'd say 81. Unless of course exotics have 4 shield upgrades then yes it is 87.
Assuming Hunter haha. Looking forward to watching it, though, either way.Warlock or Hunter![]()
Think I'm going to skip leveling to 29 and stay at 28 and hoard shards. Unless of course Iron Banner rewards are so epic and to contend you need to be high level as possible.
There may be a chance Iron Banner gear could get you to 30, do we know this to be true/false?
I don't PvP and apart from 2 Nightfall missions, I mostly play Solo. To hear that I am completely unable to level up past 29 because of the Raid, AND getting to 29 a bad idea, sucks shit.
Is this a thing?
What do you mean?
Holy shit I ust got 12 Helium Fragments, 2 Blues and 2 Special Ammo Synths... from a chest... haha
So if anyone wants to see how regular fire can deal with supers, watch Razors stream lol.

I'd prefer a token system, even if it meant 4 weeks for a single piece or whatever arbitrary threshold. However, given that the raid itself really seems like my kind of thing, the blow is lessened than in other games with similar "roll to advance" requirements.I'm on the fence about if raid gear drops need to rely on RNG. Prizes like the ship can remain RNG, but what you need to level light? I can't decide on what I think.
In one hand, it makes sense to have RNG considering we can't trade anything and there's no die roll system implemented. At the same time, you'd think the raid would be more rewarding to people returning to do it again and getting better at it. I'm going to be upset if I get more boots.
Just got myself the Invective shotgun from the exotic bounty, went through the weekly task at level 22 and did it the easy way of just staying on the cliff, unbelievably easy doing that, I've got no excuse not to get Nightfall done sometime this week even by doing it that way, I imagine it doesn't take very long.
What are we all going to do when a nightfall boss can't be cheesed? Might be near impossible people under level 27/28.
OT5 prepped and ready to go.
WoW has a ton of gear slots, so everyone has a ton of gear to grind. Bosses drop you weapons and minor upgrades like rings and trinkets. You also get currency, that is marks. Everyone gets marks so they can buy their raid level armor when they earn enough.
OT5 prepped and ready to go.
I've played over 100 rumble games and I don't believe I have lost a game yet. I thought I would stream for fun in-case anyone was interested in watching. I think I have over a 4k/d in it.

Lol christ... how long/how many times did you run them?!

lol I plucked one from the suggestions, yes.Do it.
Hope you picked the correct title.
Ya'll still need to make 300 posts!Go, Dax, go!
That isn't the purpose levels serve to me. It's fine that you feel differently. "Efficiency" hasn't actually been a major concern in my mind playing this game.
how loot games work. this idea is beginning to get on my nerves. why do they all have to work the same way? Is it even fair to call Destiny a loot game if it then requires a formula to be followed to match the description? is your argument that I'm not really enjoying or satisfied with my progression in this game, it just seems like it?
I do view that as a very long-term goal, but since it ISN'T something I can control... no, getting The Supremacy (well, no, I don't care about that at all as I don't like snipers) is my goal, or rather getting Hawkmoon, getting a great legendary hand cannon (I'm sure I will buy one that is the closest to what I want), a great legendary fusion rifle for when I am using one of my exotic heavies rather than Pocket Infinity, and raid gear with the requisite light to hit 30. Those are what are most important to me now and I can get a substantial part of the way there solely through my own effort. I'll make the best of the mods on the gear I obtain. Yes, I am desperate for Hawkmoon and jealous of people who have acquired it through luck; that's just the way it goes. There's no solution to this because I don't want it to be easy to get- an exotic bounty would be perfect (I love the whole concept), but I don't think there is one since it's PS exclusive. So it goes.
Or you could still legitimately play for 50 hours and never get an improvement, right? No bliss?
Trying to play this game like diablo is a recipe for fucking heartache. I don't know where else to take this line of conversation.
It is cumulative.
So you just need to have two or more kills in a row to increase the counter... two deaths in a row decrease.
I ended the first match with 12 k/d even so my k/d of the match was only 3... that is because I didn't get killed two times in a row so my counter never decreased.
It is easy to be fair.
PS. If you make a group of 6 to play one vs one you guys will reach it in one match... but even without boost it is really easy.
I fretted about this in the Withdrawal threads. I can imagine realistically that it's the only way to get to 30 for now. Until December, anyways.
The thing that bothers me more is if the weapons from the raid turn out to be the best for PvP. I want to raid and hope to with the buddies I've made here, but if I can't....well, this doesn't have the social groundwork WoW has to just "join a guild".
That and 6 person raids is such a low number that it can actually make it harder rather than easier.
You mean the Strike? Is it doable solo?
But your entire complaint hinges on intentionally avoiding the main progression method and then complaining that Bungie didn't copy other systems. It's their game and their choice. If you want to shoot into a cave, fine. But that's not how the game was designed. You could be a very high level with great gear by now if you would just buy some.
Finally though, a large portion of my gear came from strikes and random drops. I have a limited amount of purchased gear because I had practically everything I needed after buying two bits of armor and a helmet in strange coins. Now I just buy things my alts can use and they're already halfway through the light levels too. I have no end of legendary weapons because I made use of all aspects of the games systems instead of relying solely on one.
Ok. That's exactly like TOR then with a few name changes (marks being called commendations)
Now the question: Should destiny have something like this?
lol I plucked one from the suggestions, yes.

Yeah the strike, I'm not sure it's possible to do nightfall solo just because you need someone to watch your back with the Minotaur spawning if you don't jump off the cliff and you'd probably need help getting to the boss too, but level 22 is easy and I imagine level 26 isn't too difficult either.
What's the name of that autorifle again? I want it![]()

I'm pretty sure there were a lot more Titans during the first week. The kill 25 Titans bounty takes forever. Meanwhile Hunter and Warlock is one game.
