It's weird, because they could vastly increase the longevity by increasing the chances of us getting legendaries lol.
The Devil You Know, legendary hand cannon, has thousands of possible versions because of all the random rolls for modifiers. There's absolutely plenty of variety in loot. But getting even one of the bad ones is like winning the lottery lol. You get one shiny after 20-30 minutes or an hour, even if it's one you throw away, you at least got one and are charged. Now you want another, and another, and another. But they went the opposite direction and I don't get it.

I knew it, it was way too easy. It kind of broke the upgrade system. I got to level 27 because of it though, so I ain't mad.
This game will have no legs when the horde of games that start to come out from Sept 30th onward appear, or at least for me. The more it forces me to grind for items (no more shards now from the Queen's items ) will just result in leaving the game and playing something else. You have to reward people's time and effort, not slap them on the bottom for it. I have 8 Queen's Bounties done and still need to do the missions. Sigh. (7 Ascendant Shards and 4 Ascendant Energy. I wonder if I can upgrade any of my Legendary gear. Blargh)

It just would be more warm bodies into the VoG runs => Easier to get into PUG's.

So many people will be pissed about that cave lol, I don't mind because I'm almost Vanguard rank 3 and Crucible rank 3, got all the legendaries I'll need there. Plus Xur is here every weekend with the exotic goodies, got more than enough strange coins and motes of light for that.
However, nerfing the Queen's Wrath ascendant shard breakdown is a damn shame. Why can't they fix the PVP? They're so quick to fix PVE content. Come on, Bungie.

But it does not ignore the fact that the loot system is the one thing that needs fixing because doing strikes and ending up with nothing of worth is an abysmal system.

Seriously. That deadzone that's level 24? It just got a whole lot worse.
People 26+ can at least get materials from doing heroics and the raid.
Did they really expect people to keep multiple copies of the same queen's helm and chest? Anyone could've seen the ascendant farming from a mile away.
