Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor | Review Thread - Welcome to Middle Earf

Never doubted this game. Shame to all those who did! Tuesday can't come fast enough. I might be taking a sick day Wednesday..
 
Was cautiously excited, but after all these solid reviews, I've pre-ordered for my PS4. It's been dusty after the Destiny disappointment. Can't wait until Tuesday!

Season Pass Includes:

  • Guardians of the Flaming Eye Exclusive Warband Mission: Face Sauron’s elite Defenders before the Black Gate and earn the Wolf's Head rune
  • Trials of War Challenge Series: Play the full series of 4 challenge modes: Test of Power, Test of Speed, Test of Wisdom and the Endless challenge. Earn points for power, skill, speed and efficiency and build your Legend on the Leaderboards.
  • Lord of the Hunt Story Mission: Dive deeper into Mordor’s living world and hunt the wild beasts of Mordor to earn unique runes.
  • The Bright Lord Story Mission: Battle against Sauron as Celebrimbor, the great Elven Lord of the Second Age, to unlock powerful runes and the ability to wield the One Ring.
  • Future content including additional Warband Missions, Runes, & Skins: Enhance your weapons with powerful Runes and customize Talion’s appearance with unique skins.

Not all listed content is available on 9/30. Each DLC will be added to your Steam account as it becomes available in the Steam store.

If anything, it will easily be the most innovative. This game had a lot to live up to with it's promises for the Nemesis system. Not only has it passed with flying colors, it sounds like it is pretty much a game changer.

780 ti is really at the top of the chart, those 4 extra fps on the 980gtx wont make any difference. Video card companies need to start upping their game... its been lagging for years!
 
I was expecting good scores but holy fucking shit! It's about time we got a really solid single player game for 2014. This is the one Ring (video game) to rule them all and will be THE game to beat for GOTY. I knew there was a reason I was excited for this even though I've never paid attention to a LOTR game in my life. The next couple days are gonna be fucking painful!

It's always awesome with a game comes out of seemingly (for a lot of people) nowhere, and gets such huge praise like this. Warms the heart.

I don't normally do the season pass thing. But for this game? Bought. It's just one of those games that I knew would be great and it sounds like it has turned out to be even better than I thought.

I have no interest in the lore so this game was waaaay out of my radar, after watching a few videos and seeing the combat system I'm there day 1
