Destiny |OT5| New patch out Tues., Master Rahool reportedly crying into his robes

This was roughly my plan. Like I was saying, I'm trying to "get my feet wet" with the game, not jump into the deep end to do 50 laps. If I like the "feel" (if there ever was a more ambiguous descriptor) of the game overall, I'll likely purchase the full game down the road. I really took a step back a bit when I saw all the middling reviews the game was getting, thus my desire to save the 50+ dollars.

That being said, the grind is the part the reviewers slipped and the reason we're on OT 5 already. It's awesome and addicting.

There are plenty of "purchasable" ARs that would allow you to compete with it in PvP, I would think. Dr. Nope, Shadow Price, and New Monarchy's Vanquisher VIII are all fantastic ARs when leveled.
Honestly Shingen-E is still the go-to, even with the new wave of Suros adopters. Nothing better than it is required at least before the range nerf.

I've never felt so dirty as testing out that weapon to see what my Regulator and I were up against. It's a Point and Press Win gun. I assume Suros is more of the same but at least I know the person doesn't have another exotic weapon equipped.

honestly I didn't even use the loot caves for engrams, I just used them to leave my guy sitting down for armor exp, or to shoot easily at a group of enemies straight ahead for weapon exp. Not like it matters now as I'd gain more consistent daily exp for both by doing bounties.

If there is one major use for the queen's bounties right now is that some of them can coincide with vanguard bounties. I think from one I grabbed yesterday that I didn't do plus today, there are now two bounties I have to kill Septis Prime. EXP galore yo

This is what I did as well, I don't think I ever received any great engrams from it. I was trying to level up across PS4 and XB1, so I would switch back and forth playing and have a guy sitting on the other side.

I've got too much game time I need to put in (on Destiny and other games which I am currently neglecting) so I have to find ways to make it efficient (and I'm having more fun 20+ so I'd like to get up there as quick as possible, after that I'm not so impatient)

Damn, I wish Bungie implemented a moving HUD or atleast gave us the option to change the opacity of it. I have a really bad case of IR on my Panny plasma from playing Destiny -_-

Hmm I haven't even thought about this. I should probably run the anti-image retention feature on my Panasonic tonight.

Heya, anyone here who could help me (lvl 27) and a friend (lvl 28) do the lvl 28 weekly? My friend would kite the minotaur and we need someone to do some good damage (lvl 28+) from the ledge above. If we can do it on the first run, it should take around 15-20 minutes.

Nope, sorry, suros all the way, the hits I'm getting are just amazing. Just dont upgrade it past that slow ADS point.

Bungie, make salvage an all the time thing. I love it. Just went into overtime and won the game by stopping a prove 1 second from completing as i was getting shot at.

should make youtube videos out of your posts hawkian
You know, I've kinda been getting interested in making videos; can someone school me on how the PS4 streaming/video recording options word? Is it practical for someone to record gameplay with voiceover and post to youtube pretty simply?

I don't doubt it's better.

Let me put it this way:
I won't be able to use my Suros Regime in PvP.
When you are, I'll know you aren't using Pocket Infinity.

Yep, my blue Shingen-E has the ADS is slower but higher damage perk and I love it. Can't wait to snag three more coins and buy Suros!

Dax can't even do the Level 28 activities since her level is too low. Having an Exotic helmet would definitely get her level up so she can do more things and have more chances to get an Exotic. Being able to do the Level 28 weekly strike would result in more strange coins as well.

man I want a good weapon first

gimme dat exotic scout rifle

by the way can you and admiral puppy play later tonight or tomorrow

IDK about youtube sharing support yet, seems to be twitch and Facebook (lol).

But yeah you can lifestream with commentary then save that vid I think? you can also just hit the share button to save the clips then get them off with a usb stick and edit later (I think, haven't actually tried this yet)

My first piece of Exotic gear! The Cryptarch was kind to me today, and have me an Exotic for my class. Thank you, Xur!

Sorry for the crap quality picture. I'm too lazy to export it to my USB drive at the moment.

Huh, minimum level is 24? I feel like that is too low a level for the raid. You need to have a lot of coordination and survivability to make good progress, a level 24 wouldn't be able to contribute too much in my opinion.

The raid is all about coordination, teamwork and execution. It can be done with all level 24s if the team knows what they are doing and has the strategy down. So a 24 can contribute just fine. It's just that if you're level 24 there's a good chance you don't know what the mechanics are yet, etc. But if you look up guides you can handle yourself.

We made it to the final boss with 2 people with a level 24 and 25. We didn't have our strategy down yet though and had to call it quits that night but with our current strategy in place I'm sure we could have done it.

Hard mode is the same way. Plenty of groups have beaten it with multiple 28s (the same handicap as a 24 would be on normal mode) because they had a sound strategy and executed it.

I just realized I didn't play a Crucible match last night. I helped two people with the nightfall, bought a couple badass exotics, cashed in a handful of bounties including pin the grenade on the devil walkers, harvested a smorgasboard of helium and WOKE THE HIVE to blast my way to Super Good Advice. But no Crucible.

this must be rectified.
tangent but Cra5h mentioned you might be joining us on the Raid? Yes? YES?
Bladeslinger gundancer at your service, just say the word

I feel like I'm getting pampered here, I just got the Octopus Cloak in the following strike after I got that Cloak of The Leopard.

this excites me

I prefer the Shadow Price and the Vanquisher VIII to the Shingen-E. They all handle about the same and shoot at about the same rate, but both have much better range and impact. Different strokes, though! It's not like I don't get killed by better players with Shingens on a semi-regular basis.

Was patient and didn't spend any coins on Xur last week. And after the news that they'll reduce Auto-rifle range, I was hoping to get an AR stronger in impact, and less of a range beast. Score!

I now have the pocket infinity, invective, and suros regime.

I really like the shadow price's increased range when ADS. Its pretty much exactly what you want when you have to ADS.

I use the long scope on it and get kills at pretty impressive range.

Speaking of auto rifles, has anyone tried the Hex Caster ARC yet? It can be purchased from the crucible rank 3 vendor. It looks amazing, fastest possible rate of fire with one of the upgrade options making stability higher.
