I thought Kabuto absorbed her cursed seal which I assumed left her dead right?

Its a shame they never used her character much, like so many characters from the original cast that Kishi has foregon.
Sasuke, Suigetsu and Juugo removed her curse seal and resurrected Orochimaru through it. She's still just lying there, could be passed out, could be dead.

The war has only been a day or two despite going on for 4 years our time. I'm going to assume she's still alive.

Gotta say, I haven't kept up in years, only in small catch up doses. Can't wait for Ninja Storm 4 to bring this arc to life on the consoles. I don't think it's been that bad, while as dragged out as the ninja war was, Kishimoto did keep upping the ante. A threat worse than Madara? Having all the sages past and present in action? How badass is that? Not sure how I feel about that final confrontation though!

Hahaha

Torkio will be the Naruto replacement for sure and I will be crossing my fingers for a new series from Obata/Ohba (pls)

I really don't think Toriko will replace anything. Shounen Jump pushed it strongly for a few years, but the merchandising sales were actually going down after an initial boost with the beginning of the anime, and the anime ended a while back, likely due to that.

Shonen Jump is pretty fucked after this. They need Togashi to get off his ass.

especially sinced toriko failed to happen despite a huge anime push and likely manipulation of weekly ranking polls. Even now, Toriko manages to match Gintama in per volume sales at best. Bleach volumes typically sell 1.5x-2x a Toriko volume. luckily, they have one piece for maybe another 5-10 years. after that, they are really screwed.

And then you have it's Volume sales generally doing worse then Souma,Haikyu and Assassination Classroom.

It's going to be hard to let it go. I personally haven't touched Naruto in years, but I felt comfort knowing that it was there and still going strong. No more. Sorry to sound so grim.

TBH. I would hate that so much.

You guys saying Bleach has another 2 years of this same arc?
Come on....no way this can drag out much longer.......how long does it take to kill 5 guys?

About time this waste of space manga ended. I pity people who got too invested to exit after it became shit (post exam arc)

With Naruto, Bleach, Claymore, and HxH ending.. I may be done with Manga. I've been reading manga since Elementary school. Wow.

Only other thing I read is Attack on Titan.

haha

There's a huge backlog of JoJo chapters. Also, read Kingdom.

Why? They got to experience the best fights in the series.

It's not out of the realm of possibility. Just look at the previous chapters so far. Kubo drags out every little fight and conversation as much as possible, with most of his panels being nothing substantial.

Naruto ending has me torn up.

Shonen jump has nothing left to bank on in the west, they haven't been able to cultivate a hit in years over here.

.....

Are you serious ... The last chapter will come out on my birthday
Q.q

This is like the best / worst present

/me starts crying

Jump isn't sussed at all. Maybe in the international audience they will lose the chunk of readers that reads nothing but Naruto, and they'll lose out on the measly manga sales in the US, but in Japan One Piece is king, and they have some decently selling newcomers.

Now if the current One Piece arc could end I would be so happy. Shit dragged on WAAAAAYYYYYY past the point of being interesting.

Good riddance Kakishiki.

One Piece has another 20 years left.

They're going to end this in only five chapters... really? I don't think it's going to be that satisfying because the recent stuff seems a little rushed.

Naruto opens with 600k nowadays, so yes, I don't think it's a big lost either.

Super hilarious (sad) to me when people only read shonen and never expand past it.

Everyone should read YKK and Lone Wolf at the very least.

The manga better have a proper fucking closure damn it. Like hell if it ends on a cliffhanger. .

I don't want to wait a fucking year for the damn movie to be subbed T_T

I wonder if Kishimoto will ever have another successful series. I don't recall many authors having another successful series after he/she was associated with his/her most popular work.

Damn. Sad to hear.

I feel like I've been watching Naruto forever.

I'm like 85 episodes behind right now, so I gotta play catch up.

Naruto still ranks pretty highly in yearly sales lists. 3rd best selling Manga for Shueisha and 2nd best for WSJ. And One Piece has fallen again pretty badly from the 30+m/year it had in 2009 and 2010. Still sells a lot but I can't imagine WSJ being too happy about Naruto ending and OP returning to pre-Marineford levels.

I still remember reading stuff when people asked what can you suggest for manga or anime. They only mentioning OP, Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail lol Sometimes it feels that's the only good manga out there.
