Uh oh. Red flag raised from this new VideogamerTV preview. They pretty much go on to say that it is running like shit. Sometimes not even reaching 30fps.

Regardless of whether its an 'up-port' or not, what does that matter at all?A cross gen up-port.
Your point was ridiculous. The PS4 version is slightly better, therefore I won't buy the game for my Xbox One. That's basically what you implied happens when games don't have parity between versions. It doesn't. People just buy the game for the console they own, or the better version if they own both.
i don't think it's so out there to suggest that all of sony's "superior version" pomp has had a detrimental effect on xbone multiplat sales. the percentage of gamers who are up in arms about parity who would actively boycott the title is probably pretty tiny, whereas the percentage of people who don't want to buy an outright inferior version of a game (while still relatively small) is probably a little higher.
Reddit is full of magic sometimes
How does this have anything to do with MS? Am I missing a joke here?

Yeah wow look at those responses. You were ahead of your time!I got juniored for suggesting this 1 year ago...
... now even developers are open about it...
Send a tweet to @assassinscreed with #PS4NoParity in there. It won't make a difference but it'll be fun.
One thing I love about the gaming community is the ability to raise hell about small issues. Raise hell Neogaf, do it. I don't want none of that aliasing. It's an open world game, those distant objects on PS4 are going to look awful and it's thanks to bloody parity.

PC: 900p/30FPS hardlock for parity.
This has to be the MOST hilarious thing I've witnessed in the last few years in gaming. Really, it's hard to top. Not that they are doing that, that's ok. But that they are dumb enough to flat out make a statement about it, pointing out that they wanted to get rid of discussions. Hilarious.
I chuckle over two observations.
1) Are we really surprised that a company that churns out these games like clockwork to the point where all of their games end up feeling the same would decide to go for "parity" to make it even easier on themselves to churn out these games? I'm really not surprised.
2) Hey PS4 owners, do you feel that little twitch in your eye? That's the feeling that you get when you begin to believe that developers aren't using the tech in your machine to its fullest. Now you get a tiny, tiny taste of what PC gamers have been feeling for many, many years now. Except multiply that by 100. =)
oh, fuck off Ubisoft.
If a console CAN handle a better version it SHOULD come to be. Stop worrying about pissing off consumers that might get a slightly worse version of the game. This parity nonsense is insane...
Forced parity? Fuck off
"Last year's Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag also shipped at 900p/30fps on both PS4 and Xbox One. A post-release patch, however, bumped the PS4 version to 1080p. Ubisoft has given no indication that it has plans to do the same for Unity."
So I wonder how long this info will be glossed over in the thread?
Well, thanks Ubisoft's PR department for saving me $60from the article:
'Targeting 900p and 30fps, it sports the same slightly vaselined look as its stable mate, Watch_Dogs, and gets very muddy and choppy in motion. The framerate behaves more erratically than an aristocrat during peasant uprising obviously it depends on the scene, and the engine seemed to handle quieter streets and interiors without too many issues, but when trying to replicate moments from the trailers, perched up high, looking down on the crowd gathered at Notre Dame, the FPS took a nose dive into the low twenties. This happened a lot, especially during the kind of rooftop chases you can expect to be getting into pretty regularly. We were playing an Xbox One build, but were told that both console versions are the same.'

Wait, was it confirmed this is because of MS paying Ubisoft? Or are you just jumping to conclusions?
