If you have even halfway decent aim you should be able to dominate Iron Banner with a Suros at level 28.
I'm doing well enough at level 28 with a Vanquisher VIII. It really doesn't feel that much different than regular Crucible. Slightly faster kill times but aside from that the same weapons dominate matches. It generally feels just like a typical Control match.
Seems like PvP rep should be easier to earn. Spending time with the Queens mission either quitting and restarting for the easy mission or actually running the harder/longer missions, when in PvP you just jump in and kill stuff.
I can finally earn Marks again!
I've been capped since last Wednesday morning.
No more spending Spinemetal, and other materials to lvl up marks/rank for me.
I'm hoping I'm focused neough to use my fullly upgraded TLW, but I'll use my Regime if I have to (especially if the hit reg is as bad as it's been).
I'll feel dirty, but I'll get over it.
Do you have alts levelled? I have 2 and working on a third, it really helps being able to do the dallies and gold tier PE 2-3 times.

Yep my team BARELY escaped that deathtrap. We hid on the ledge in the back and just slowly sniped the boss and his minions. Titan bubbles were a lifesaver for revives.
Got my first exotic drop though!! Universal Remote. Felt really good. I have 7 exotic guns now altogether.

And for anyone who thinks their Atheon's Epilogue is worthless, it's the shit in this week's Nightfall and Weekly. Was doing the same damage per hit as my fully upgraded Suros.

Is it just me or does Vision of Confluence (legendary) actually seem slightly better in stats overall then MIDA (exotic)? Anybody got both and tried them?
The Remote felt very underwehlming until I unlocked everything up to the unique upgrade. The range on aim is ridiculous. Even when they nerf shotgun range this thing will be great.
Running two shotguns is silly, too.

I've been using Thorn in Iron Banner, and it seems to be wrecking, even the level 30s. Though, my Thorn is maxed out. Still, Hand Cannons catch people by surprise with their quick kill times and huge impact hits. Especially those that are running around with that pleb AR.
So... nobody up for the weekly strike? I'm level 26 and I'd love to also try the nightfall but I fear it might be a bit hard for me.
This is why I wish Bungie would at least add matchmaking to the weekly strike, seriously... been waiting here for a while already and I might have to just shut down the game without having done anything because none of my friends are online right now and nobody wants to play with a lvl 26... argh.

Haha yeah. I did the daily heoric story during the weekend and got nada. I too, know that I need to log out. Not that hard to replay such an event though.
You're still gaining regular crucible rep I think. Only wins give iron banner rep.

The only thing that's making me not enjoy my TLW is the hit reg/delay issue I almost always get. With an AR it doesn't matter as much as I just hold the trigger down until they die (especially Regime and its huge clip), with TLW I want to be able to kill with consistency so I can move to the next target. Getting the ttk/shots needed down to muscle memory is important, plus having 8 shots and a longer reload time makes it much harder to work with in that environment. Can't always bank on the fact all my shots that hit wil actually reg either, so hitting them moving and waiting for the game to catch up doesn't always work.
Might try the Thorn with the DOT, could maybe work around the delay issue by making the shots then moving out of the way and leaving the DOT to get them. How reliable/effective are you finding the DOT? How low do you need to get their health for it to finish them off? Etc...

I just finished this weeks, found it pretty tough. Other 2 guys got legendary weapons, I got 6 coins, lol, then 9 coins from the weekly version, but luckily 2 legendary engrams at the end of that one as well, phew!
