Sony WWS has been shockingly mediocre so far this gen with regards to AAA titles.
Knack?
KZ: SF?
Drive Club?
Order 1886? (so much negativity around this one, will likely review poorly)
The only one that scored well was I:SS, but even that paled in comparison to other
Infamous games. Then we have TLoU:R, but that's a last gen port.
Personally, Sony so far has become synonymous with the "style over substance" saying,
like we get it: the PS4 is capable of great graphics, but it seems to come at the expense
of compelling/substantial gameplay!
Complete props to Nintendo and MS for putting out worthwhile titles this year which
will no doubt succeed critically and commercially
Don't count out Bloodborne; from what I've played, the game is fantastic. (or does that one has nothing to do with WWS?)
These are exclusives. They all count. Bloodbore will also be Sony's killer app.
Titanfall? Horizon 2? Sunset?
You know what all these games seemingly have in common? Great gameplay.
Hey man...
Did you even play the game, or does it pale in comparison on metacritic....?Sony WWS has been shockingly mediocre so far this gen with regards to AAA titles.

Hey man...
So what games have MS made so far that were critically and commercially successful?
Titanfall? Hmmm, that's by Respawn.
Forza Horizon 2? Ehhh, it's made by a third party.
Kinect Sports Rivals? Lococycle? Powerstar Golf? Zoo Tycon?
Titanfall is an EA game. Sunset is made by Insomniac and while is exclusive to the one would not be considered in the same way as something like the games you list here.
These are exclusives. They all count. Bloodborne will also be Sony's killer app.
People are really terrible at comparisons.Bloodborne is a Sony's IP and a Sony's WWS game, so why is the people comparing this with Titanfall at all?
They need compelling software, but nothing they've put seems fresh or innovative!
Kinect Sports Rivals? Lococycle? Powerstar Golf? Zoo Tycon?
Sony's biggest mistake is not putting out sequel after sequel. Good thing that will be fixed. We have LBP 3, Uncharted 4, maybe a GOW4 and GT 99 Prologue to look forward. /s
Seriously though, for all the cries for new IP I never understood why when we get them, they get compared heavily to games like them. Shouldn't they be judged on what they are trying to achieve rather than what previous game like it already achieved? New IPs cost money and they are ALWAYS knocked for having little content. Are publishers suppose to dump in tons of money into something that people may not like?
They hit it hard the last year or two of PS3 and none of the big names where ready.
We can guess ND will drop Uncharted next year but guys like Polyphony Digital and Quantic Dream are 2016 at the earliest.
GG and Studio Japan hit launch and wont be seen again for another 3 years. Same with Sucker Punch.
Stigs game at SSM was going to be that studios next game and that got canned so that pushes the next SSM game a few years since it was probably only started soon after Barlog rejoined.
Media Molecule is the only studio that seems MIA right now. Its been years since LBP2 and Tearaway was only made by a fraction of that team. Wonder what is going on.
Hahaha I caught that too. We're onto you OP!
We're not talking about exclusives here. We're talking about the output of Sony's internal studios. Bloodborne doesn't count because Sony doesn't own the studio producing it. I don't know how that could be any clearer. So most of MS "exclusives" don't count then either. Can't have it both ways.
It's not a WWS game. It's being made by From Software with Sony's assistance. Like Titanfall was made by EA with Microsoft's assistance.Bloodborne is a Sony's IP and a Sony's WWS game, so why is the people comparing this with Titanfall at all?
Why did ISS pale in comparison to the other infamous games?

Hey don't forget Dance Central.Kinect Sports Rivals? Lococycle? Powerstar Golf? Zoo Tycon?

That's how you should have framed this thread. (just delete the word "seems")
You should stop caring what other people say about games. The fact that you included Order and Sunset in this conversation kind of suggests that you care too much about other people's perceptions.
For me, the game was just lacking. Size felt smaller, good vs evil was almost non existent (esp with how Infamous 1 handled it better). Felt rather repetitiveness IMO. I really liked it when I first played it, but once I went back to play the 1st game for 1st time, my opinion started to change for worse sadly.

wait...whats wrong with Order 1886? Haven't heard much of it actually.
This sort of assistance happens all the time on third party exclusives. That doesn't alter the fact that they're third party games. I doubt Japan Studio is doing the heavy lifting here.
Then why is there "props" to MS, when their "internal" effort is non-existent? Only Nintendo has had sterling internal effort so far. We're not talking about exclusives here. We're talking about the output of Sony's internal studios. Bloodborne doesn't count because Sony doesn't own the studio producing it. I don't know how that could be any clearer.
It's not a WWS game. It's being made by From Software with Sony's assistance. Like Titanfall was made by EA with Microsoft's assistance.

Well it's a good thing I'm not good at my non-existent job. Now I don't have to worry about getting a pay raise.
I agree to some extent that Sony's first party lineup has been lacklustre so far for PS4, but it's not as though Sony are deliberately making bad first party games.
No, that's silly. That's like calling Titanfall a joint effort because of the game's reliance on Microsoft's cloud servers and the Microsoft engineers that enabled all that. Unless it comes out that Japan Studio was designing levels and producing assets, then it's easy to assume they were mostly supporting the PS4 hardware, and that the bulk of the work was still From Software. It's not as clear because there is significant contribution from Sony Japan with Bloodborne. It's a joint effort.
Titanfall can't run without Microsoft's cloud servers. Microsoft also provided assistance in getting EA running on Xbox One architecture. What!? Microsoft assisted with Titanfall? Where is the Microsoft studios logo on the gamebox? Oh wait you mean they used a moneyhat to keep the game off PS4, gotcha that is assisting in some way i guess.

Problem is a lot of people; especially gamers seem to need reviews to make up their minds.I would like to think consumer reaction to these games hold some weight too surely. Basing the success of a game purely on reviews is just a dumb way to go about things. A reviewer at the end of the day is still a single individual and metacritic is such a flawed system to begin with.
You are also conveniently glossing over games like infamous and Rezogun and not also focusing on how games like Forza 5 scored... >_> Agenda much?
