Mockingbird is definitely not in AoU. There are confirmed cameos appearances from James Rhodes (War Machine), Sam Wilson (Falcon) and SHIELD Agent Antoine Triplett.

But Palacki said when she was in discussions with Marvel, there was the possibility of Mockingbird appearing in movie(s). In the comics, she and Hawkeye were married for a time.

That's a shame, she seems pretty cool but I suppose she's a bit similar to Black Widow at this point. I'm sure they are probably quite different in the comics though.

I can see her show up for some of the solo movies. Cap 3, maybe.

What I want, ultimately, is to have the Agents of SHIELD cast cameo or end up as supporting characters within the MCU movies. They seem to be dipping their toes in the pond with Triplett in Age of Ultron, so maybe they can schedule something involving the rest.

Imagine seeing the Bus pop up and help out the Avengers or something.

I don't get this new criticism with Trip I mean he's not a bad actor and he brought some much needed charisma to the team toward the end of Season 1, it's not his fault the writers are giving his character jack shit to do.
I dunno. He had quite a bit of screen time last season and failed to really establish himself. I mean Mack has had minimal screen time so far, and I don't even really know what his job is - mechanic? But he at least comes across as a person rather than a string of one liners. I think I have the same problem with new Ward.

Also how do they put Trip in AoU without the whole Coulson alive again problem.

I believe Mack is an Engineer. He seems adept at building things but he's not genius-level in the concept phase. I feel like.. where Fitz could learn about a weapon or object and figure it out in his head, Mack's the type that needs to put his hands on it and take it apart and even then.. he could only recreate it mechanically, without necessarily knowing the reason why it does what it does.

Really.. the difference between Mack and Tripp is still the writing. So far Tripp has attempted to reach out and be a friend to other characters but generally gets stonewalled. No one has actually opened up. Mack on the other hand sucessfully got Fitz to open up to him a bit, which gave him something to play off of.

The cast is so damn huge now but all the new additions are great so far. Definitely feels like a more adult show.

i love Bobbi so far. I hope she's on the show for a long time. She has done big action movies before so I don't see why he wouldn't be in a movie soon. I really wanna see her and hawkeye meet up.

Late response but I finally got to check out the episode and it was a lot more stuff than I was expecting.

The Mister Hyde theory on Skye's father sounds on point. The whole thing about him keeping himself in check and the greenish glow on his face we always see. The fact that he doesn't want to be seen as a "monster". It's too perfect.

Finally, GIVE IAIN AN EMMY. He didn't do too much in this episode, but from the clip from next episode and this whole season dude has made the best transition from comedic relief to tragic fallen character I've seen in a somewhat lighthearted TV show like this. He's incredible.

To think that last year, when we first encountered these two, some of us here thought that they might be the usual boring cute and smart geeks that banter endlessly.

Some difference, it was like they were on cocaine in most of the first series.

I'm not liking the English guy at the moment but most of the others are pretty good so far.

I thought she was really bad. Her acting was poor and so were her action sequences. She kept doing these weird poses and faces. It was very distracting. :/

Palicki was great, but the action direction is not. Plus there was that dumb hair flip which was probably an ill advised callback to Black Widow in IM2. This show could borrow some tips from Strike Back, Banshee, or failing that Continuum for how to arrange and shoot a fight.

Palicki is much more convincing as a badass superspy than Scarlett Johannsom, though.

It wasn't great, but let's not forget that just one week before we had Ming-Na beating the shit out of Ming-Na in a fight that rivaled CA:TWS. I think it was a matter of the director this week sucking.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. It was a well-directed fight, but I wouldn't say it's that amazing.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't compare the Ming-na v. Ming-na fight to anything in the films, least of all TWS. It was definitely one of the better fights, if not the best, in AoS but it was not TWS level.

Nah. ScarJo is pretty badass as BW and all of her fights have been pretty awesome. Nothing in the show comes close to even the worst movie fight. That's just a matter of budget and time spent choreographing.

It had more energy than most of TWS's hand to hand scenes.
It really didn't though. In the history of the show it was by far the best fight by MILES but when compared to something like the Cap vs. Crossbones fight it just lacks that sense of professional shine.

The weird part is Hunter is comic Hawkeye light, so Mockingbird being his ex works.

Tripp and Mack aren't main cast, but they've been in every episode. I do wish they'd do more with Tripp.

Damn GAF your slippin. I was hoping we would have a gif of Bobbi taking down hydra ending on that kneel when her head comes up to lock eyes with Simmons. I liked the way that was shot this episode.

Yet another solid week. AoS has been great this season. I'm a bit disappointed that there won't be an episode on Nov 4th but the 75 years of Marvel sounds pretty interesting especially since I've been trying to find a way to get into reading some comics. I feel very lost and confused when it comes to reading them. Hopefully by watching the 75 years show I can find a series I can start reading.

The title for S2E7 is
"The Writing on the Wall."

No air date yet, unfortunately. I suspect that there's a rerun on Nov. 11; ABC would normally have released a synopsis by now otherwise.

If filming for Tripp's other show was going on, they may have also been squeezing him in when he's available.

Which is the most likely reason why he is not listed as a Main Cast member and also wasn't on the show poster.

That and whatever filming for AoU he did.

He might actually be more utilized in the 2nd half of the season depending on how many episodes "Being Mary Jane" shoots for in a season.

Seriously where are the Bobbi gifs?

Someone make one of her doing the badass smug walk with the batons after she sends Simmons off

That's... the only interesting hand-to-hand fight in TWS, but only because it was a mobbed fight. The Batroc/Cap fight was sooooo underwhelming, and all the Bucky/Cap fights were kind of meh.
