We're not getting the fight we want though. We're getting a handicapped Naruto vs. Sasuke.

True, but it's the only fight we're going to get from the looks of it.

Ashura and Indra fought one another until their bodies were destroy and Hashirama fought to kill Madara, however, Naruto has no such intention, and I think the fact they know about their past transmigrants will make it easier for them to break the cycle altogether.

The Sasuke v Naruto rivalry has been running on fumes for years tbh; a lot of the stuff from the last twelve or so months in particular feels really dishonest, like Kishimoto's draping pointless boring misunderstandings and same-old same-old with the signifiers of a rivalry or whatever to try to falsely mislead the readers into believing they're seeing genuine friendship and conflict. The bit with the tailed beats in particular is almost completely empty; at this point, Sasuke doesn't really have any good reason to think of them as anything other than weird manifestations of chakras possessing distinct personalities that want to be left alone. A simple conversation should be able to clear up the whole situation, but of course we get chapters upon chapters of Sasuke acting like a secret asshole and then randomly going AWF on everyone instead.

Sakura upending this shit show is a welcomed change

said it once and ill say it again. Sakura showing up and punching sasuke would completely ruined the mood. That would be terrible, god I hope that doesnt happen.

She shouldn't show up at all, she should show up at the very end of the fight with kakashi to see the aftermath, should not have any words of encouragement or words at all during the fight. This is a fight years in the making and if its won by naruto because of some outside force it would cheapen the fight.

Naruto vs sasuke part 1 was them 2 battling it out head to head, 9 tails power saved him, but the 9 tails knew if naruto died, he would technically die also, so I forgive it, survival instincts are strong. So now it should be just them, fighting it out final blow should be from naruto, not sakura or kakashi showing up to punch him and say,"we are all friends and love you, come home" because that sasuke is long gone. There was a time when sasuke would have probably came home, but that time is gone. Hes full blown everyone needs to hate me to unite everyone mode.
 
Sakura's gonna show up and see Naruto sitting all alone, she asks him what happened but he doesn't answer and just gets up and walks away. She looks over and nearly faints as she sees Sasuke's dead body with a giant rasengan sized hole blown through his chest.

From the previews, the fight ends this coming chapter, so I'm hoping to see it and IT resolved. The week after that we'll have the conclusive ending. The chapter is supposed to be around 40 pages and was finished a few days ago.

My post ending depression is going to be a bitch to handle.

Wait, do Kakashi (maybe) and Sakura even know where they went off to? All Kakashi knows is that they went "that way", and then explosions. I don't see Sakura even attempting to get to VOTE, she'll just be waiting, hoping that Naruto brings back the Sauce.

Do any of watch Sawyer7mage? His latest Naruto video basically described how likely SasuSaku is right now. And it was perfect.

I think we'll see something similar with the two of them ending the fight either in a draw or a little more conclusively (preferably).

At the end of the OVA Sasuke is seen picking him himself up and smiling (albeit sinisterly), I can imagine him leaving without a word, but that begs the question of how the IT would be released if he just left. I still get the feeling Naruto is going to grab his hand and force him to create a seal with him, thus burning his own arm in the process.

I think Kakashi knows where they went considering the direction they headed and the fact he recovered Naruto at the Valley after the first fight in Part I.

And yet here he is about to "end" Naruto's life. I know fundamentally Naruto is leagues beyond Sasuke, but Kishi had to scale up Sauce just to make it entertaining. Naruto is a freaking Sage.


Please don't let Sakura interfere, Kishi. People will hate Sakura even more than they already do.
 
I've also heard talk of a double chapter with chapter 700 being completely coloured. I'm guessing those 39 pages will be split over two chapters then.

Pretty much this. Naruto was handicapped and holding back and it appears he might win next chapter.

He's been stronger than Sasuke since Sage Mode.
