Adrianne Palicki is great as Mockingbird

*swoon*

I need Chloe Bennett (Skye) and Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanova) need to end up in a scene together sometime in the next few years. Maybe they can poke fun at all the super serious male cast members together. They gave Natasha and Skye such remarkably similar non-mission time personalities.

Another great episode. All the characters had great scenes, (except for Tripp, who continues to be underutilized) and the story moved forward at an interesting pace. LOVED the Fitz/Mack/Simmons stuff. Bobbi and Hunter and cute together. Ward gonna Ward.

That Ultron scene. Amazing. (Thor's face when Cap tried the hammer.)

Aaah, that sucks. Things are getting so intriquing in this show right now, two weeks is going to feel like forever.
I blinked and had three episodes of Haven on my DVR.

Aging seems to be messing with my perception of time badly.

Meaning I doubt I notice. Get into my routine and the weeks just speed away.

I love awesome girl friendships in my action shows, so the way Simmons stepped in front Skye like that was quite the fuck yeah moment. I want more friendshppy scenes of those two to together, Skye needs a more strongly defined relationship outside of Coulson/Ward. More scenes with her and May as protege/mentor too.

May killed me tonight when she was like "I don't like you" to Hunter.

That was brilliant. Ming Na really nails the bitter, to the point humour of May.

It would perhaps have been better to say that right NOW it feels like two weeks will take forever to pass by (and it will suck next week when I'm all "yeah, it's time for a new AOS... oh, wait... :'( "). Of course in reality I'll struggle with finishing my Master's thesis and the two weeks will pass by like they were suddenly sucked into some black hole without me getting anything done.

Episode didn't really hold my attention this week but there were some good individual scenes in there. Loved Simmons threatening Ward.

man the may vs knifechaindude fight was fucking sweet. I thought it was a kevin t. episode because that was such a mortal kombat-esque thing to have in the show.

lots of good character moments in this episode, even if the plot didn't move at quite the pace of the rest of the season aside from the Ward stuff.

No episode next week will be rough, but if the 75th Special is good then it'll be worth the break.

One of the most dangerous double agents in the history of SHIELD? Sure, regular handcuffs should work fine. It's not like we have advanced technology like invisible planes or anything that would indicate they could come up with something a bit more secure.

It was a very enjoyable episode. As a White Collar fan, I'm very pleased with this casting.

But I feel compelled to point out that perhaps SHIELD should have considered, I dunno, more sophisticated restraints or perhaps sedating Ward for transport? Coulson clearly knew he was an escape risk. The plot must be advanced, I suppose.

This season's "unnamed soldiers shot in cold blood" moment.

I just thought it was gross.

Let's not forget how Bobbi and that guy shot dead that nameless bad guy in the midst of a comedic bickering scene. There's nothing funnier that shooting people dead, right?

I can. He tried to kill her after all, and she's grown some balls since going under with Hydra.

Simmons is Simmons. Ward is a borderline psychotic killer.

Sorry for being late with this, but I keep track of the ratings on a Notepad document on my work computer, and I've been on vacation! =)

Anyway, as of yesterday evening, here are the 18-49 ratings for the most recent episodes of each scripted show on ABC (dramas are in bold):

Modern Family 3.4
Scandal 3.0
How to Get Away With Murder 3.0
Grey's Anatomy 2.5

black-ish 2.4
Once Upon a Time 2.4
The Goldbergs 2.3
The Middle 2.1
Castle 1.6
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 1.6
Nashville 1.4
Forever 1.2
Resurrection 1.2

Last Man Standing 1.1
Revenge 1.1
Selfie 1.1
Cristela 1.0
Manhattan Love Story 0.7

SHIELD's ratings may have dropped significantly from the end of last season, but its ratings relative to the other dramas on ABC look pretty damn decent. I'm surprised it's tying Castle now.

I'm not so sure about either of those. I feel like Coulson's on his Don't Trust Anybody vibe now, so I think he's playing both the Wards against each other. I can't imagine he put Grant into those cuffs not knowing the dude knows and is willing to break his own thumb to get out.

I agree with this. At first, I was like "Are you really going to fall for that dude's story so easily Coulson?". But the more I thought about it, it was a win/win situation as long as Sen. Ward clears SHIELD first. What does he care what Sen. Ward does with his brother? Ward obviously doesn't want his brother to find/have him so it can't be good for him. If Sen. Ward is Hydra, I doubt there's any intel they don't already know that they could juice from Ward at this point. Granted, SHIELD does lose a high value Hydra intel source, but getting the world's combined militaries off their back takes priority. Plus, if Coulson put a tracker in Ward before transferring custody, him escaping might actually be to their benefit.

I haven't seen the series but whats with that thread title? it almost sound like a Zelda game so it lured me in

unintentional coincidence....?

one main character named Skye, another named Ward.
a yet to be introduced sister "secret agency" to S.H.I.E.L.D. that operates in space called S.W.O.R.D.
put them all together and what do you get? The title to the most recent Zelda game...

oh, I guess it was intentional after all :)

I can't take the "I'll kill you" line seriously when it comes from Simmons.
If Whedon is still watching over this show, Simmons will blow your mind with her ruthlessness. I can guarantee that Whedon has the skills to set up these seemingly weak characters being bad ass with other characters they HATE very well..

Willow in Buffy and Wesley in Angel. Which is funny since Alison Hannigan and Alexis Denisof are married.
