I took that to be more of a comment on the display saturation than the brightness.
Basic mode was fairly accurate in the S5 so that might be stock on the Nexus 6. Max brightness will likely be meh with decent boosted brightness like recent AMOLED phones.

We're just waiting for T-Mobile to open preorders. I'd much rather get a Nexus 6 on installment with nothing down up front than paying $650+ all at once.

Again, there are no preorders on T-Mobile. This is confirmed.

Also, they may only stock the blue color only, both in store (32gb only) and online (64gb).

What do you mean?

You were in @ $700 but not $700 + tax? Sales tax isn't new.

I haven't bought an item over $300 outside of Amazon in over 5 years. I would be game, barely and begrudgingly, for $649, but not $730 or whatever Google would charge after Tax and their forced 2 day shipping.

Yeah, its a hard pill to swallow. Especially when you can get a new iPhone in the same price range with a presumably much better camera.

Still on the fence...

But it's an iPhone...

Looks like my company might be buying me one, but not for a couple of more weeks. I'm pretty happy about that. I should be able to sell my M7, but might keep it as a backup. We'll see. Usually I hang onto phones for a backup and then it's never actually necessary.

After tax its $700+. I'm out.

He was never in to begin with. He's been banging the "One Plus One is the bestest evah" drum since the N6 was announced.

Bu, the iPhone doesn't run Android.

Understood, but by that reasoning you've been out from the beginning, even at $650 flat.

Also, depending on your state, sales tax will likely be around 30-40 bucks and I believe Google's 2-day shipping is usually $10-$12, so your estimate of +$80 is slightly exaggerated.

Sales tax is 10% here unfortunately (there is a reason I haven't spent over $300 outside of non-taxed etailers), so it would be $65 + the shipping. So maybe $725 to be exact.

T-Mobile also dies WiFi calling on all phones bought by them. They will also give you a signal booster if your connection is too weak for a $25 deposit, which I did last week.

Not true. I was going to get one to test out for a couple of weeks and keep it if I liked it and sell my OPO. With an extra $70 on top of 649 it just isn't worth it to me with the performance difference.

Pre-orders are up, ships in 3-4 weeks. :/

Edit:
Also, anyone know the |OT| rules here? I have the OT ready to go, but we aren't a week away from it being released.

Try not to over think it. These are mobile devices. These things lose their value at the drop of a hat. Every major mobile device I know, minus the iPhone drops to near 30% off on the used market within 3 months.

Eh that was a ridiculously small batch if the preorders really did begin. I'm showing sold out, but that was near stupid levels of sell out speed.

Coming up sometimes when I refresh the page.
