I just hope that in a future episode there isn't a flashback showing Coulson giving Ward another chance and he's actually going undercover with that escape.

That would make Coulson's and Ward's scene really weird. There wasn't anyone in the room to make Coulson "keep up appearances."

Mack may be gay, but Fitz? Where is that coming from?

I mean, I know he recognized Mack as attractive when talking to imaginary Simmons, but that doesn't really mean anything. Straight guys can recognize a good-looking dude too lol. I took that scene as Fitz knowing that Simmons had some chemistry with Tripp, and assuming that Mack would be her type too. You know, the whole "how could she like me over him."

The actress said she was told potential movie appearances were in the cards when she was in negotiations.
Yeah but that's pretty much true of every character in this show just look at Tripp. The real test is to see if this show can survive until Avengers 3 Part 1 and Part 2.

Sexuality is pretty fluid you know.

Simmons/Tripplett were also flirting in S1, so I assumed that he made imaginary Simmons lust over the next big black guy she saw as well.

Do we know if Age of Ultron will come out between episodes or will season 2 be finished by the time AoU is released?

If the season isn't over by the time AoE is released it will be very annoying for me. I'm in Australia and the movie is released here before America. lol

Season 2 should be done before AoU, yes.

Discount Dwayne Johnson is so fetch.

I am really loving the different relationships this season it's being handled in a much more natural fashion this time around Hunter, Mack, and Bobbi are great new additions to the cast. I am still surprised that Season2 is still this good it seems they finally have their shit together now.

God, all the stuff with Fitz and Simmons is so sad. That's the one change that I kind of hope can get fixed a little bit eventually. I really loved both those characters last season, don't want them to stay like this for the rest of the show.

He is? I hope he's Ultron's first victim.
Nooooo. I like Tripp. He's a pretty cool guy.

I don't get the attachment to Tripp considering he hasn't done anything memorable. I'm not sure I see this charisma people refer to. I don't really get animosity towards him either.

But I would be totally fine if they killed him off, as I don't think it would change the show whatsoever.

There is no way that this is how it will always be. Simmons is going to have to be straight with Fitz which may result in some anger and bad decisions on both their parts. I'm sure they'll wind up together in the end.

The charisma people are talking about is the fact that his character carries himself with confidence that belies skill while at the same time being chill enough to not feel pretentious about it. That allows him to have friendly dialogue with anyone at any given time without it feeling forced.

Basically he's killing it acting wise but is only hamstrung by the plot not demanding much of him.

Fitzsimmons can still work but it would probably require the cliche' of "I didn't realize how much I cared for you." What really needs to happen is Fitz either finding strength of character through purpose, i.e. throwing himself into work for a massively great cause or another character aggressively pursuing Fitz causing him to realize his "love" for Simmons wasn't all that he thought it was to begin with.

But those are also tropes so.. I guess pick your poison?

Exactly. He feels like he fits in with the team so well. Seems like the kind of guy that would be really easy to hang out with in real life. They just need to give him a bit more screen time is all.
FitzSimmons is romantically gross to me. I hope the show never has her reciprocate.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK THEY WOULD BE FUCKING ADORABLE TOGETHER.

Ship 'em, boys.

Just watched the Agent Carter One Shot for the first time. So excited for the show now. Do you guys think we'll see more references to her and the Howling Commandos in AOS in the leadup to the premiere?

Fitz developing a second non-reciprocal crush on Mack would actually be darkly hilarious.
Oh god, that would be funny but sad at the same time. Fitz needs to catch a break eventually.

He was more interesting than pre-heel-turn Ward, which helped his case a lot, but Hunter, Mack, Bobbi and Koenig are all more interesting than Tripp.

I'm wondering if Tripp will get some more interesting plot as we get closer to the Agent Carter Intermission. Leveraging his family history with the Howling Commandos is the best play for him they have right now.

If Coulson gets written out on a temporary/permanent basis, feels like he'd be #2 behind May.

The guy who hasn't done anything but pilot the plane and occasionally make a quip, that I don't really remember any interactions with May, is going to be her 2IC. What?

The Grumpy Cat mug was more interesting than pre-heel-turn Ward though.

I think my feeling is that I don't really care if they write him out and I'm fine with them giving him more to do as well in theory. But at the same time, I don't really see the need to try and force the character into being integral, especially if it's at the expense of other characters that I'm already invested in continuing to be developed.

I'm not yet sold on Hunter. But the additions of Mack and Koenig and Bobbi for instance haven't felt like they've taken anything away from the main cast, in the brief appearances they've had comparatively, they felt like they've contributed and/or quickly forged their own identities/roles.

This. All of this. BJ Britt could tear up that fucking screen if they'd give the character anything to do.

I was annoyed at how whiny Hunter became when Bobbi was revealed until I remembered I have a friend who is like that whenever someone brings up his ex, and even worse when she's around.

He acts too cool for school when we go to bars and shit, but he raises his voice and won't shut up when she's the topic of conversation, LOL. One thing they nailed as well. These 2 aren't saving each others lives tho. I'm pretty sure one will end up murdering the other.
