the devs probably don't know about steam trading cards
See, I thought cards were supposed to make people excited so they would pre-order. Is there a technical reason for every bullet except cards to appear?
Oh, it's time to quit my Halloween mask.

This game has anime style. Anime style cards sell like fresh water in a desert in hell. I have at least one game that refinanced itself via cards.Haha, people get excited about steam trading cards?

Not massively, but it's an easy way to sweeten the deal. People who avoid games they want to play because of no cards should rethink their priorities, lol.Haha, people get excited about steam trading cards?
I still don't get why people are so infatuated with trading cards. E-peen?

Plot's much better, grander in scope, and has far less Japanese-high-school-story cliches and caricatures. You level up your units by class, which helps keep the game at a steady pace. Still grinding if you don't want to A-rank every mission for maximum experience, but it's not like you need over-powered units to win battles however you wish.please tell me if this game has a better cast/plot than VC2, better strategic gameplay and whatnot
because i played VC2 and that is genuinely one of the worst plots/casts i have ever seen in a game
the strategic side was pretty good but there was a grinding factor to it which was annoying- does VC1 have that as well?
With a Japanese game? Oooooh yes we do.Haha, people get excited about steam trading cards?
Bought through GMG. Can't wait to go through this again. Absolute gem of a game. Can't wait to read newcomers reactions.

I'm not sure what to say when people buy Agarest for the wallpapers and cards, if it even happens that often. With a Japanese game? Oooooh yes we do.

It's top spot at GetGamesGo, 2nd at GMG (Simulators will eat us all), 1st on Gamersgate according to their top seller filter, and is on Amazon for preorder but hasn't been advertised yet.
Looks good so far. It did fall out of the Steam top 20 though for now.
That'd be a dumb suicidal move given its relevance in Japan. Nevermind that given the game's style I don't really see what it has to gain from PC exclusivity versus hitting PC and consoles.Still hoping for VC 2 HD nd VC 3 HD if the VC numbers are good. And course VC 4 pc exclusive.

i really want to give it a shot but that really annoying repeated map/grindy aspect bothered me a lot for VC2
If I were the power that be, I would get rid of achievements and cards and trophies from the face of this planet.
Free money.
I'd make sure that everyone still got wallpapers that they'd normally get from cards though. And the themes, complimentary for buying a game.If I were the power that be, I would get rid of achievements and cards and trophies from the face of this planet.
It's not though.
Good thing you don't have that power. I'd be mighty unhappy. If I were the power that be, I would get rid of achievements and cards and trophies from the face of this planet.
I rarely (if ever) go out of my way to buy individual games for the cards, but I have bought some Humble Bundles with the knowledge that I can resell the cards and get an ever better deal!I'm not sure what to say when people buy Agarest for the wallpapers and cards, if it even happens that often.
but you can craft badges with trading cards ;_;
and they look real cool on your profile ;_;
I hope all SEGA games get ported. Except Bayonetta 2 because Nintendo.I hope the whole series gets ported.
I'd love to see lots of other SEGA games on Steam.
Like Puyo Puyo and Project Diva and Sakura Wars and Skies of Arcadia.
I have 17.98 in my Steam account.
I misread your sentence as "I've seen lots of other SEGA games on Steam."
Damn near had a heart attack.
Well, there are lots of SEGA games on Steam..
Though I wish there were more..
Play a game with undropped cards on your account and sell it. Simple. Or if you have none, I'll send a card your way (Steam name is ValkyrurS7).
I really agree with that.We (well, I!) wish for more japanese SEGA releases. I'm fine with the western-developed ones, it's the japanese side that's sorely lacking.
No, ou were strong. You resisted the evil allure of hoarding money and spent it freely for a higher cause. That is, buying Valkyria Chronicles.I was weak...had to double dip...
How is it not?
Making $.50 back on a $17.50 purchase isn't a profit. You're still eating $17 to make $.50.
People that go "OH BUT YOU MAKE MONEY OFF THE CARDS" are overlooking you have to: 1) get in early and 2) be playing an anime title to "sell high"--IF the demand is even there--to make a profit.

It depends on how you see it. If you buy a game for $14 and get $14 worth of "game" out it which you wanted. you could see the $1 or whatever you make off of selling its cards as "profit".
Well if people are buying games to sell cards that'd be stupid. But for games you already purchase, getting some money back isn't bad. I've made around $50 off Steam cards that I would never have gotten otherwise and I barely put in any effort to maximize selling price.
