Why havent aliens landed yet on earth?

we could build super robots that send out energy patterns to nearby planets to foster more robots to more planets

Because they're constricted by the laws of physics as we are. Space is just too huge for this to ever be viable. I wonder how many alien species have even reached their own Space Age. We are a species that has been in the making for 3 billion years, and it is only in the last half century that we have managed to leave this rock, and we didn't get very far.

With our current technology I think it's wrong to say with certainty that the laws of physics cannot be broken. We only have a very small idea of what happens on our own planet let alone planets millions of lightyears away from us. We can with certainty that we cannot break the laws of physics as we've got no proof otherwise, but I don't think it's right to say that has to be the case for someone millions of years ahead of us in technology for example.

Not a good plan

I am getting frustrated. The earth has been habitable for 250 million years now and provides all sorts of sustenance. Why haven't they landed on Earth yet? Does this mean that aliens are probably not as advanced as we thought, or does it mean that they are so far advanced that they don't want to "pollute" our ecosystem by entering it? Come on aliens, come visit us.

Just because you don't see them does not mean nothing's there

Because FTL travel is impossible and forever will be, would be my guess. :(

why people applying human scientific principles to the entire universe? maybe there's an alien civilization that can travel immense distances with ease

They're too far away. It's a spirit crushing reality that the distances are just too vast. Maybe somebody somewhere has invented a wormhole, but what are the odds that they're going to come here?

Why does everyone always assume that aliens are more technologically advanced that we are? They might also be wondering why we haven't landed on their planet yet.

When you look at our species I think it'd be depressing to think we're the best there is in this vast universe.

Maybe they did millions of years ago before there was life; they were searching for other planets that could sustain life. And what they left behind resulted in life starting on earth.

OK the Galaxy in and of its self is ridiculously huge and we haven't even explored 1 percent of it. Even if Aliens are out there it is a very real possibility they don't know about us. We only start broadcasting radio waves at the speed of light into space like 80 (right?) years ago. I highly doubt any of these broadcasts have even reached a alien planet. So yeah don't get frustrated man they are probably out there but they could just be REALLY FUCKING FAR AWAY!

optical fiber is believed to be alien technology...if true, then yes, they are more advanced, since they had it when we didnt.

Because those scientific principles apply to the whole universe. That's kinda the point of them.

Though that doesn't exclude visitors of other universes that may have different laws of physics etc.

The thing is why havent we been hit by the radio waves of other older civilizations?

hmm, interesting. shows my ignorance on the matter, I guess.

Maybe they have, maybe in the distant past. Perhaps their technology is so far beyond ours that they study us as we would germs in a petri dish.

But honestly, the vast distances of space, the speed of light appearing to be a universal limit one simply cannot overcome, and our place in the galaxy so far from other worlds, even super advanced civilizations out there might never find us. There may well be groups of solar systems mere thousands of light years away where worlds have been visiting one another for eons, but we will never know. Our star will burn out and consume us long before we're discovered.

They might be just as far away from us as we are from them. Space is really big dude and so far it looks like we are aline in our little part of our galaxy. Unless of course the aliens here are less advanced then we are.

Because no one can travel faster than the speed of light. (Well, some may not agree, but if it wasn't true then we'd have tons of alien visitors daily)

edit: this also applies to time traveling, no time travelers from the future, is an indication that its impossible, no matter how advance we become.

You only have to displace space faster than the speed of light. Compress space in front of you, expand space behind you. That is how the spacecraft of the future will work.

You are talking about an Alcubierre Drive which may or may not be possible. From what I understand (which is very little) generating that much energy is impossible right now.

Advanced civilizations would probably employ Communications Security, and not broadcast their location to the galaxy. If we receive radio waves from another civilization, they're probably already dead, and we'll be next.

Plenty of folk here assuming we are more advanced than them.

However, in the timeline of the universe we are like an hour old. Millions of opportunities for something to have evolved elsewhere before us, by a billion years or just 500.

I'd not land here.

Besides all the cultural differences and problems between humans- I think I'd mostly be afraid of death by either humans with weapons wanting me to go home or catching a disease that I can't cure in my alien body.

I mean, we have flesh eating bacteria on this planet...

They've been here brooo. Seriously, look into Steven Greer and his documentary Sirius. He has hundreds of former government employees coming forth about the fact that aliens have been here. And while some of the theories proposed on ancient aliens are far fetched, I do believe our ancient ancestors had allien intervention. There are too many shared architectural similarities amongst nations divided by water that had no means of communication so far in the past. Not to mention the gaping logic inconsistencies involving the perfect geometry in the layout of the pyramids (they line up perfectly with Orion's belt) as well as how the pyramids were even built. While the pyramids don't prove existence of aliens, that's honestly more plausible to me then to say that dehydrated slaves actually carried several ton stones across the dessert and stacked them in perfect form with no technological aid. What about the incident over Nevada in 1997, where hundreds of residents reported seeing bright lights hovering over the city? What about Roswell? If that had nothing to do with aliens, then why is it so associated with alien contact to this day? Plus, all the elaborate cropi circles over the world, which appear literally overnight and are extremely complex. I don't get how you could think humans did all of that TBH.

I honestly can't imagine that if life exists anywhere else, it is advanced, and advanced enough to get very far out. Space is just too big, and I don't think anyone will ever explore it the way we imagine it.

We are lucky to even have Mars as a possible habitable planet, but traveling to other solar systems? No way.

I wonder how many alien planets have lived and died, how many are just starting, how many are super advanced, and how many are at similar stages as us.
