Guys while it sounds funny, maybe taking a dig at the developer's career might not be the right thing to do in the OT. I don't know it just feels..mean and unnecessary. Just my 2 cents

All of this, also adding on, is that most people don't understand how Sonic's mouth work. Its resting position is to the side and moves around according to his speech pattern like a cartoon. Western Devs and even Sonic Team have been hella prone to fucking this up.

His eyes are a whole different discussion however....

GameFly just sent my copy. I'm looking forward to it honestly, as a non Sonic fan I think it looks decently fun. Not great by any means, but from these videos probably an even 3/5. I've managed to avoid playing any real stinkers this year, hopefully this won't be the first.

PSP was also a far more popular platform, so I am not surprised. I assume they were aiming for much higher numbers, hence the Youtube control.

You probably could've handed this off to a hungry indie developer with a fraction of the budget and they would've pulled off a better received game than this.

It's so weird because Stephen Totilo from Kotaku just wrote moments ago that SEGA didn't send any copies of the game for review without reason whatsoever. This is bad :C

was probably a mix of dev issues then having a hard deadline to get it out for the TV series. so prob a lot like a movie tie-in game.

The demo I found OK. Hopefully the exploration levels pick up after World 1.
It is like Sonic Rush Adventure compared to Sonic 06. Rise of Lyric seems like Sonic 06 going by the first 90 minutes.

I wonder if they were so down to the wire on this thing, they went ahead and pressed an unfinished game on disc, and have been since been rushing to put together a day one patch that will reduce some of the performance issues. In other words, maybe they think the game will be in a better state for reviewers on launch day. The original release date (Nov 18th) would have given them more time to get a patch out pre-launch.

From my understanding, there is no day one patch planned. It passed cert on the first try with almost all 1st parties.

Don't - I deeply regretted it personally. Albeit not as much as I'd probably regret buying this.

Sonic is a historied franchise, why does Sega allow this? It's nuts! He's their company mascot! I understand he's popular with kids but even lost worlds lacks the polish sonic deserves.
