I have played some truly excellent games across my 3DS, WiiU and Vita this year.

Western AAA publishers absolutely dropped the ball (save for one or two exceptions), but niche games/ publishers and Nintendo were great this year.

Bayonetta 2 is Goty. And then there is Smash 4 and Captain Toad on the horizon (for USGaf).

Is there even anything worthwhile in those chests? I the previous ACs it usually was a bunch of money and sometimes ammunition. If that's the case here as well I'll probably just completely ignore them.

One bad game doesn't make AC a dead franchise. They just need to make sure that the technology in the next game is extremely polished.

Implying Watch Dogs was a trainwreck? Seriously? It was a great open world game and very well recieved. People just set their expectations too high after the initial reveal, and honestly a lot of people decided they were going to hate it as soon as the graphical downgrade was revealed.

This game on the other hand genuinely seems like a disaster. It really doesn't compare.

Unity basically puts the series back to ACI...glitches and problems combined. As a starting point that can only hope improves with the years.

I rented Black Flag not expecting much and it was actually pretty damn fun.
