Well, for gameplay yes, can't say that for visuals imo. Then again I played WD on PC maxed so maybe the console versions didn't look so hot?

Nope. In daytime they were similar, but at night Watch Dogs looked nicer than PS3 GTA V for sure.

I don't think I will be using 1st person that often.
Also if streamers just kept everything in 3rd person R* wouldn't have a claim to take down streams. .also if they stopped saying that it's on PS4.

Won't say that until we know more about the framerate. Watchdogs at least held 30 almost the entire time.
But..my point still stands, as I'm aware this game will also release on pc, right?
Both were cross gen games, and gta V on ps3 looked better than WD ps3. I have no doubts this will look better as well on ps4. The simple fact that this is running at 1080p is already something that Ubi could not match..

Well I meant WD XBO/PS4/PC, if you're comparing GTA V PS4 version to PS3 WD then yeah, no brainer. Will probably double dip for this so I can experience it with my Rift and all the mods. Here's hoping Denuvo doesn't bork performance for PC version.

If it was removed purely for licensing reasons, then maybe they just didn't want to pay to license for VC since it wasn't going to really sell enough as a re-release to justify it?
I'm comparing gta V ps3 vs WD ps3 / gta V ps4 vs WD ps4.
I'm not talking about pc versions of any game. I only mentioned it because you said PC version of WD looks better than gta v ps4, and that was not what I was comparing, for more than obvious reasons.

Are building windows still plain textures in the next-gen version? AC: Unity has spoiled me with how there are rooms behind each window (sparse and shallow, but still). One of the reasons the game runs badly, but it sure looked pretty.
(Though I guess it's more important to have windows look good when you're climbing all over them in contrast with them flying past at 100mph)

Rockstar is smarter than that. Like you said, it's not as important in this game and it would most likely fuck up the performance. A steady framerate is prefered, imo. That game had too much ambitions for its own good.

I've seen enough of the stream. Seems like he's just going around doing random stuff right now. The game looks great to me. With this and LBP3 my PS4 will get more than enough use for a while. Also getting Dragon Age but that may have to take a backseat for a bit.

I'm watching a ps4 stream of gta V. Of course I would compare this to WD on ps4, apples and apples. WD on ps4 looks better than gta on ps3? It's a no brainer.
I know the game is available on other platforms, but I don't think I should add a disclaimer than I'm talking about console versions only.

Seriously, that was the same ped wasn't it? If memory recalls the old gen versions would usually just phase out a ped if they got far enough away from you, maybe their culling distance has been expanded here? Also first person cycling is one of the things I've been most looking forward to, can't wait to scale Chilead in one.
Um why? Some people play across multiple platforms, and note their observations accordingly. Why is this even a debate? And no I can't read your mind and think your comparisons are going to automatically default to PS4 just because this stream is showing the PS4 version of GTA V. Logic how does it work.
