I hear you on that. It took me probably a combined total of 10 hours to make both my elf and my human to a point where I was satisfied, after restarting like 10 times haha. xD

I think the elves look really good this time around. It was way easier for me to make a decent elf over a human for some reason.I'm sure your Inquisitor doesn't look boring though! I find that some of the best Inquisitors are the ones that might be a little 'boring' but are the most realistic

I find this quite visually appealing...it's still somehow balanced, despite everything being ridiculously scaled. Either there's something wrong with me, or you are very talented with faces! Your freckled Inquisitor is really cute too

My wife's Inquisitor, based on Gregor Eisenhorn from Warhammer 40K. Sword and board templar. Really a perfect character archetype for this game.

Man I really love this face editor. I plan on replaying a good few times, and try to make a really different face each time.
For my first playthrough, my fiance and I worked off of some photos of Chris Pratt. Not an exact likeness, but we really like how he turned out.

I'm waiting for a new PC before picking this up but looking at this thread this game seems to have some of the best 5 o'clock shadows ever and some of the worst beards, pretty much all beards I have seen so far look like those toy wigs one buys to play Santa for Christmas

I tried to make him look like Shepard at first but gave up and it turned out like this.

Your male Qunari warrior is the best-looking Qunari I've seen from the CC yet. Really looks like a Qunari as opposed to a large human with horns.

Another problem I have with the editor is that the lighting isn't representative of the normal in-game lighting at all. Twice now I've made a character that looked great in the creator, but once I got them out in the world, I suddenly saw flaws and little things that I wish I could change.
I really hope they patch in the ability to edit the character later in the game.

I feel like this is a recurring problem in Bioware games. I wish in the future they'd let you alter the lighting during character creation. Even if it's just switching between bright and low light.
Or, even better, do what they did in Dragon Age 2 and let you tweak your appearance during the game.

That's kind of what I'm hoping for, because the second time I just said "fuck it" and kept playing, so now I've got a few hours in and I don't want to start all over again.
