Definitely Mario Kart 8. I'm also a huge fan of how Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze looks. And of course, the amazing Pikmin 3!
Brawl wasn't the prettiest game either, to be honest.

I recall a lot of weak textures from my experience with Pikmin 3.
Mario Kart 8, no question. Honestly, it might be the best looking game available on any console at retail right now. (Maybe sans Unity, when it works)
Yup, they tried to make it look "gritty" and realistic but it didn't work out so well. Luckily on Wii U it reverted to the more colorful Melee-ish look.Brawl suffered from the issues and gaming standards of 2006/2007/2008/2009 where colour was seen as the enemy. Its colours were so dulled.
So many wrong answers. Well done to everyone who got it correct by saying Pikmin 3. For extra credit what will be the best looking wiiu game of 2015 Xenoblade or Zelda?
I was really underwhelmed by Smash to be honest.
The 1080p/60 is really nice obviously, but the lighting looks super flat, plenty of jaggies and the backgrounds look really basic with simple lighting/textures.
My vote would be Super Mario 3D world and Wind Waker HD.
Based on the screenshot thread, I'd say Zombie U. Love its eerie look.

Screenshots don't do Nintendo HD games justice. You have to play the games, hear the awesome music and see them in motion. The experience is unlike any other.

art style != best looking graphics. Let us completly ignore all those jiggles in that picture.
I'm there with you. Colorful, crisp, smooth animations, 60fps, and a nice bit of scope for the tracks. Hard to decide between it and 3D World.Mario Kart 8, no question. Honestly, it might be the best looking game available on any console at retail right now. (Maybe sans Unity, when it works)
Super Mario 3D World. Mario Kart 8 only looks really nice in motion.
This looks like an animated painting. The artstyle will make this game hard to top.![]()
That's down sampled from 1440p to 1080p.
Unless there is a hidden 2 TF GPU in there somewhere it is not going to happen.
Nintendo do bullshots as well you know.
Why don't people post there own screen shots of gameplay rather than PR or Racing photo mode stuff so people can see what games actually look like when playing.
You realise the Mario Kart TV mode is all in-engine and is how the game looks, right?
Replay angles allow for some dramatic camera work while depth of field helps eliminate distant rendering artifacts. Also note the slightly sharper shadow rendering seen from the replay angle.
The game just flat out beautiful manThat's down sampled from 1440p to 1080p.

Games like Forza do better IQ in 'replay' mode its often hard to see pics of ingame
