PlayStation Experience Event in December Discussion Thread 2 - What we Know

I really don't see a FF VII happening at PSX. I would love it if it happened but has Square had the resources for it since they have been working on FF XIV and FF XV?

TLG is probably my most anticipated "announced" game after UC4. Based on what Yoshida has said in the past about them still working on it, I have to believe that TLG will make another appearance sometime soon. I believe that Sony will not announce anything for it until it is getting close to beta or being complete. They don't want a repeat of announcing it and then it vanishing for years again.

I'd also like to see is the rumored announcement for Suikoden II on PSN. Would be nice if it were playable on the PS4 but I'd take a Vita or PS3 port as well; Vita before PS3.

So my desires for PSX would be
- New IP announcements
- UC4 gameplay videos
- Suikoden II (Don't know if it would be a big enough announcement for PSX)

I'd be happy with that. Everything else would be gravy.

Why is シェンムー spelled Shenmue in the west? That's my first time seeing the Japanese title; it clearly reads Shenmū not Shenmue.

Anyone know why?

Mods are good people. They have hard enough job w/out also having to interpret when someone is being sarcastic/joking/made a spelling error. I've made such mistaken bans too during my tenure, and had to undo a few.

So appreciate all the support, but even in my ban message they made note that the other guy got banned much longer than I did. They try their hardest. Don't harass them when things like this happen, they are really trying hard. Modding is a really thankless job sometimes :P

I can understand how it could get pretty crazy, being a mod of such a huge community... especially when you have to deal with reading garbage threads on a daily basis.

maybe Sony made a deal? "we help you create the FFVII remake, but for that it is exclusive."

Let us wait and see..but I do not think it is happening.

It will look like that, this is Naughty Dog we're talking about not Ubisoft. They have only had changes in design and slightly worse IQ going from preview to final product at the very worst.

If they were even able to announce they could hit 60FPS with it looking like that they will drop to 30FPS before ever giving up photorealistic Drake.

Realistically I want a PS1 franchise revival and not focusing on 3rd parties ESPECIALLY BORING ONES. Besides Gran Turismo, what PS1 franchises are still around? I cant think of any. Ape Escape had bad spinoff in 2010 sure, but did I miss something? As for boring 3rd parties that includes Assasins Creed, Fifa, CoD, Battlefield, much of the boring-doesnt feel like PS game things.

Also really why is Shenmue 3 a thing for Playstation fans. Have we gotten anything Shenmue related since it seems like real releases were on DC and Xbox...

Capcom exclusive would be nice since they are treating Playstation owners the worst at the moment. Nintendo got Mega Man on Smash & MH which hurted Vita in Japan. Atleast Microsoft got Dead Rising which is decent enough. All Playstation fans seem to have is delayed F2P action game that doesnt seem that original.

I really hope that for the first time the hype bears out. But I'm ready for the hype train to become the doom train.
 
Tga means it is like 3 am gmt1.... Well gonna miss that for sure, hope i can get spoiler free for atleast half a day and watch a replay when i get home...
 
What I want to know is, with how much TheBooya has posted in the PSX thread, why not just tell us Crash won't be there, if it won't be there? If they are just paying homage, why not just put that fire out a long time ago? I get not putting out the TLG fire as that's one of their own games, but if they haven't acquired Crash, why not just stop the madness?
