No. He says it isn't about the money, but all of his complaints outside of the medical stuff are 100% about money. He would have been fine without the WM main event if they paid him like he was in it. When his contract was up, he wouldn't resign unless he got paid more. He's mad they fucked him out of movie money. Fucked him out of convention money. Fucked him out of sponsorship money. But it's not about the money. Mother fucker, EVERYTHING is about the money. And it should be. Trying to pretend like it isn't about money while bitching about all the money you didn't get and shilling t-shirts is horse shit. He's a dude who prides himself on "telling it like it is", yet is trying to bullshit his fans into thinking he wasn't just trying to get a buck like everyone else.
"It's not about the money." "Fuck you, pay me." You can't have it both ways, PAL.
Stop trying to make "It's a work" happen. It's not going to happen.
I definitely feel the power.would you say it will be...
a new day?
Trainwrecks are fun, man.The day people see Carny WWE for what it really is and stop giving them money will be a perfect day.
I definitely feel the power.
I SAID:
I definitely feel the power.
I'm not saying the trainwreck isn't fun to watch. Just don't pay money for it... especially if you're expecting them to listen to you and not wreck their train any more.Trainwrecks are fun, man.
Yeah. Hard to want to keep a dude who bitches and fights you on EVERYTHING, even if he's making you money. In any profession. You have the greatest shelf stocker in the world, but he/she complains about everything and always argues for more money or perks, doesn't get along with other workers, and always wants to do stuff HIS/HER way, eventually you're going to get rid of that person.
People seem really disenchanted with how cooperate WWE really works when it's really no different than other cooperations. Lots of low down dirty shit happens to work the system to get what you want, or keep people in line. It's everywhere. And let's face it Punk did work the fucking system. He did.
The first time he threatened to quit WWE they got him everything he wanted. More money, a fucking bus, bigger cut of merchandise, copyrighted music. Etc. Granted they worked the shit out of him because Vince was gonna get his money's worth, but he gamed the system nevertheless . Most folks are not that ambitious. They make enough to live by and don't want to rattle the system. Yeah it's disappointing to hear some of the stuff but it's all been going on since day fucking 1.

It's tantamount to pre-ordering the next Assassin's Creed game sight unseen after Ubisoft's recent track record.
Ziggler has real issues - "He's not selfish enough in the ring" is a real problem for him- he's great at getting other guys over, but not so much himself.Just look at Ziggler. Dude gets legit pops whenever he comes out and it seems like he's passed over time and time again. Not to mention he had one of the shittest title reigns this side of Jack Swagger.
This thread is loooonnggggg. What's going on up in here.
Anyways. I was at the gym Monday and saw that Raw was on so I parked in front of the television with a stationary bike since I haven't watched in years. Saw some tag team thing where two black dudes in blue were fighting a couple of guys dressed like goldust. Then two other dudes started fighting. Then someone got eliminated and then some other dude came out with another dude dressed as a chicken. Then two dudes that looked like Rikishi came out.
Looked fun. Would watch again.
Do we have any proof that Punk was the top merch seller when he was in the WWE? Any receipts?
What's the logic behind pulling the rug out from someone if they're getting over? It makes no sense if its all about what's best for business. More over people means better product thus more money. I just don't get it.

"Like when the Doors played on the Ed Sullivan show..."
"Oh like doors, like doors you walk through?"
"What? No like the band, the Doors.
"OHH I THOUGHT YOU MEANT LIKE DOORS YOU KNOW LIKE DOORS?"
"Like when he called me when I had just gotten out of the hospital and was still anesthetized..."
"I have no idea what that means"
shit was kind of sad.
And I'm actually excited for the new blood from NXT to arrive and further mix things up. Tyler Breeze, Sami Zayn, and Adrian Neville in particular have the potential to be huge stars.
They don't release that data, but there should be plenty of news stories from the wrestling sites still up. Plus, seeing Punks stuff top the best sellers lists on WWE Shop at the time. I think enough of us saw that.

I'm ready for this CM Punk thing to finally die down. It's pretty obvious he's burnt out on wrestling and hopefully he finds peace in the next thing.
Ironically, the WWE is the main reason is why he'll be in demand for whatever the next thing is. Without the WWE, Punk could have easily been another A.J. Styles, highly respected in the wrestling community but a complete non-factor in mainstream pop culture avenues.
Regarding the two pods with Colt Cabana, I just feel it would have been more credible of a story had he at least balanced his story with recognizing the good that partnering with the WWE has done for him, and quite frankly, his wife.

You definitely have to be a self-centered a-hole to some degree to get that big.In reality the hate between Punk and WWE is what made him. That's how he got paid and got big. That's the only reason he ever got to the next level Wrestlemania main event be damned. He's set for life.
It's messed up. Let's say he wasn't a jerk and they liked him. He might have been treated better but would NEVER have made it as big. I'm sure of it. So yes, being a jerk held him back but at the same time got him father than not being a jerk would have.
Did you tout about it?

you have to go over, but you gotta make roman reigns look strong, ok?
There's some truth to that when you dive deeper, but let's be real, the tension was leveraged into some interesting angles and story arcs that helped him become a made man. Bottom line is that the opportunity to do the "Pipebomb" segment, feud with Rock/Cena/Lesnar/HHH etc., and do shoot-style interviews contributed to the pathos of the CM Punk character.
Yes, it takes a hell of a talent to put it all together to become the 1B to Cena's 1A, but it's a little disingenuous to say he had no help from the WWE to become the star he did. I'm not saying he has to kiss Vince's ass in leaving, but he's not getting a call for a $20K 4-hour sit without the WWE elevating his stock.
Ever since CM Punk did that crap to Greg Miller from IGN a few months ago I cant take him seriously. I just think what if Greg was a younger kid and a true fan that would have been devastating.
I don't know, I fucking hate being tapped on the back by people I don't know / don't know very well. It's just uncomfortable and can be quite alarming. I can see why people might respond in an abrupt fashion. I don't see what relevance the kid thing has because Miller isn't one.

CM Punk really hates being tapped on the back by people he doesn't know.

Greg was Greg. What did he do to Greg Miller?
Greg was Greg.

Count me in the camp of someone that would react negatively to being tapped on the shoulder by someone i dont know.
Would you also slap a random person who didn't tap you on the shoulder for it?
If you are talking about the gif above he hit the guy who accidentally hit him on the back of the head.
Someone kidney punched him. He hit the wrong person but it's more understandable when you know it wasn't just a tap.

The guy in the grey shirt pushes Punk on the back and immediately backs up to hide. The guy with the black shirt, who had both of his hands occupied with his glasses, gets slapped..
