This is unexpected and kinda big. I wonder if the version that comes out 6 months after the initial version will be exclusive.
I doubt that. And maybe it will be exclusive only in Japan.
Well... Only time will tell!

So my TE stick for xbox 360, won't be useless for PC?
Still a similar style but I much rather prefer the newer models. Ryu doesn't look like such a cave man anymore!
?? So I take someone on a forums word for IT?? Both crytek and insomniac have been around a long time why would they need MS funding, where is the proof these games would not have been made if MS was not around?
He never said it was.
Street Fighter 5. PS4 exclusive.
It's understandable for people to be frustrated. SFV has long been a multiplatform title, and many people probably bought XB1 systems on that assumption if they are fighting game fans. The way I see it, it's perfectly fine to be upset, but some people don't just get upset, they act like spoiled kids, as if companies own them anything.
They don't own us shit. They made the business decision that made most sense, and now it's up to you if you want it or not.
Though I've been told more than once that my vision is too pro-company, so there's that. I just like to see games as products. You offer me the product, I'll decide if I want it, and that's it.
Dont care about street fighter but fuck this, fuck that and fuck everything.
If you consider a franchise getting taken away from a fan base "great" that's a pretty messed up viewpoint.Wonderful news to wake up to!
This weekend is starting off GREAT!![]()

Another comparison pic for those who missed it earlier.
How is it good for Xbox One owners that PS4 owners can't play Tomb Raider and vice versa for SF? These deals drive consumers toward one box or another, but that's only good for the platform holders. It would be better for the audience to be able to get any software on any platform, whenever that is a possibility (i.e., excluding games made by MS or Sony studios).
Do you know that the studios dont have the amount of money for develop and for marketing that is why exists the publisher like microsoft, sony, ea, etc that "help" with that.
I was super critical of SF4's art design, I like this style a LOT more. Still exaggerated, but not the point of looking so damn goofy. Ryu actually looks cool now and Chun Li looks more sleek and agile.

They've gone and done it... they've gone and woke the sleeping dragon now.
Sony should have left well enough alone and now they're going to get it. It's not enough that they're bleeding benjamins from practically every crevice of their existence. Now they go and throw immense moneyhats at a niche game like Street Fighter just to piss off the market. Why pay to keep a game out of the hands of as many gamers as possible? Why not put that money into first-party studios and games instead?
I know, I know... this is the way the business goes as they say. Well, they forced Microsoft's hands with their early sales lead and Microsoft only responded with an NPD whooping (source: musings thread) by way of incredible deals and value. Microsoft will undoubtedly follow this announcement up with some real megatons of their own.
Gears remake collection. A true Banjo sequel. Halo 5 beta in the hands of gamers. The next Bayonetta, Dead Space and Crysis as exclusives. Those are the kinds of blockbuster response announcements I expect, and then some. You hit Microsoft with a jab, you best be ready for a flurry of uppercuts coming at you in response.
Does the PS4 even have a working fight stick yet?

People felt that way back then too? Heh. Now I really wonder what the internet really would have been like if it was that advanced back then. It's understandable for people to be frustrated. SFV has long been a multiplatform title, and many people probably bought XB1 systems on that assumption if they are fighting game fans.
I remember that when I was a kid, I partially bought a N64 because I was excited for a Chrono Trigger / Final Fantasy sequel. Then Square jumped ship and went to Sony. That was a huge deal for me, because Square games had always been on Nintendo systems before then.
I think it's healthy for people to experience anger, and to let that anger out somewhere like a web forum.

OMG this is huge..
I'm not a fan of Street Fighter but Sony won if this is true.
As a gaming consumer, I'd much rather just play Smash and Bayonetta 2 and Uncharted and Halo on my PC. But that's not the world we live in.
Shot down?? lol where?
They are fucking published by MS
I hate to even wade in to this, but Insomniac has confirmed they went with Microsoft because they let them keep the IP and that other publishers (including presumably Sony) would not. Ryse was originally developed (and thus most likely commissioned by MS) as a Kinect title. Don't know if there any official statements about the latter though.
You seriously think Crytek and Insomniac are big enough studios to fund games as big as Ryse and Sunset on their own?
There's a reason both games were published by MS and are effectively first party.
"Why would Crytek need funding?" LOL. Were you conveniently under a rock when Crytek could not pay their fucking employees? You are clueless.

The guy you're responding to plays dumb about counterpoints while also asserting things with no supporting or even basic information. Don't bother.
This is worse than TR. Capcom what are you doing?? Most people preferred to play SF and most fighting games on 360 last gen and now you cut off Xbox fans entirely?
Sony would have been better off trying to get MH back for the vita.
Disagree. They both look bad, but SF4's less buffed-up roid-rage look looks better to me.
I'd rather they drop the Udon/buffed-up-people-that-is-ridiculously-ugly art and go back to the Sprite look of SF2/3/Alpha for the characters.![]()
