I'm absolutely serious.
Sony just sold 50k PS4s in India so far; MS has already done twice that in China on a launch weekend. That market may be decently sized; nothing major but not 50k annually either.
Also just b/c PS4 is launching there doesn't mean MS can't carve out some presence, if they give it a serious go. There are no console allegiances or mindshare in China just yet....nothing like it is in NA anyway.
But their release schedule is a bit barren for first half of 2015. I don't even think QB is coming out next year anymore, not if they're pushing RotTR in the fall.
It might end up that way even if the price stays the same. No doubt most of XBO's sales came thanks to the "holiday spirit" and it being shopping season; we don't even know if it's won November and if so by how much. That would help tell us something about how much of this is really b/c people see it as a worthy console in its own right vs. how many just got it b/c they were gift-shopping and it was "a new-gen console reasonably priced for the holiday season".
If the gap isn't big enough then even at the new price I think PS4 can outsell it every month for most of 2015 just going off the releases both AAA and mid-tier coming during that time.

TBH, we still have no confirmation on 100k is ship or sold. I think China have more than 100k imported PS4 before Xbox one even launch in China.

As for Chinese market PS4 has more chance to sell than XB1, because of not only price difference but governmental censoring not allowing that many XB1 games to be released over there.
Having said that IMO both consoles won't do that well in China, but we'll see about that later.

That's not true at all, it's more from benefiting from M.S. missteps, great price point from the get go, positive buzz, etc.... Both the Xbox one and the PS4 had pretty much the same amount of Retail exclusives, and neither lineup is something to brag about. Now that the Honeymoon is over, exclusive plus being the standard console for multiplats will probably be Sony's big push if M.S. price point don't go back up. Sony has a killer line-up for 2015. Heck it's already the standard console for Indies, despite the Narrative sometimes here on gaf, Indies will be and are important this gen.

But, the 1 million lead is the U.S. only... worldwide, the PS4 has more than double the sales -- something like 15 million to 7 or 8 million. The worldwide differential will continue to increase even if MS manages to cut into Sony's U.S. lead. Honestly, a 1 million console deficit is tough to overcome based upon the monthly averages of the PS4, even if the XB1 starts to take a month here or there.

China don't care.
Actually, though, if Consoles can gain a foothold in the Chinese market, it will make the US market less important (as the US economy is generally these days) and make the NPDs even less meaningful than they are today.

I guess. If you say so. Actually no. That's not true at all. Xbox had a solid year of quality exclusives relative to the PS4. It wasn't amazing but it was pretty damn good relative to PS4 releases. It didn't do too much good. BTW I'm talking about games on XB1 you can't get on PS4 and the other way around. So I'm not interested in a list war where PS3, Xbox 360 and PC make the game irrelevant. The Xbox had more high profile releases to tempt people to buy the system and for the most part it didn't matter.

Wal-Mart, walmart.com, Sam's Club, and samsclub.com are all included in current NPD reports.
A long, long time ago, Wal-Mart started to become estimated by NPD because negotiations broke down. That's where that "65% accurate" nonsense was coming from.
But they re-negotiated a deal and they've been directly tracking Wal-Mart again for a while.

From a perspective standpoint, he's not wrong though. The tripartite of FH2, SSO and MCC compared to DC and LBP3 does paint a picture of higher profile releases in the holiday season.
PS4 has more games, and Plus is better than GwG, but from a very select parameter of 'high profile exclusive blahblahblah', XB1 is better in these 3 months compared to PS4.

People forget to list a lot of PS4 games like Guilty Gear Xrd...
Not interested in a list war aswell, but I'm not seeing how you quantify that objectively... (Never mind implications of "indie games don't count") As far as Retail, they were both the same, of course based on personal preferences someone can like one lineup over the other, but as far as high profile retail games they were equal the first year.
PS4: Infamous SS, MLB the Show, TLOU, Drive Club, LBP3.
XB1: Titanfall, FH2, SO, MCC.
IMVHO, the reason for that perception is that M.S. tends to focus from holiday season to holiday season, in contrast Sony tends to spread there games out all year. I can see one saying a stronger Q4 lineup but not all year.

Shawn Layden did say that the PS4 was the fastest selling console, ever. This at PlayStation Experience on december 6th.
At least until that point it's still above what the PS2 and Wii sold in their respective time frames.

Yeap... PS4 is ahead WW than Wii and PS2 until the latest numbers released in Septeber 30th.
I expect Wii to be ahead after December 31st numbers.

The parameter called 'post-November no longer counts.' Not that far off from TLoU in July doesn't count because pre-season.
Watch next year have the same narrative. If Sony has even one less 'exclusive' in the holiday season, it'll be seen as weaker, nevermind that Sony's at least got 4 big titles in 1H 2015.

I'm still doubtful. I still think Sony could have won by a small margin, that's why there's no PR from Microsoft.
Should hit sometime between the release to the companies, and the NPD press releases, this afternoon. That's the typical window for Sony, MS and Nintendo NPD PR.

I wouldn't be surprised if either came out ahead to be honest. Overcoming the PS4 momentum is a big hurdle regardless of promotion. It's a coin flip, why nobody's talking.
I just remember PR hitting early when it's an important month, like March was. Maybe I am remembering wrong.

I expect big numbers for both systems really.

A lot of people are basing this on one day black Friday sales. Black Friday sales are down from last year. I don't see Xbox selling more than PS4. Not when PS4 continuously selling better on weekly basis.

Just to put back some context back in your "facts":
In India, The PS4 apparently sold 4500 units within 2 weeks of launching (back in 2013), and is "expected" to sell 50k units by the end of their financial year (it took the PS3 3 years to do so). For comparison sake, the XB1 sold about 1500 units in a little more than 2 months (that's about 1/4 of the number of employees MS has in India, as a side note).
In China, MS is reported having "shifted" 100k units for the launch, but it was unclear if the units had been sold to retail, or to customers (which from MS's point of view is still sold btw), and MS declined to comment on the number.
