Word of mouth is the strongest driver of sales,
studies show. What drives word of mouth in this industry is hardcore gamers, which then filter down to their friends and family members who are also consumers who might potentially be interesting in a gaming system.
It matters how you present and continue to present your game to the world. And Sony has been missing the ball pretty darn hard in terms of this piece of software and how they've been unveiling it to the world.
Doesn't mean it will not overcome that rocky start, doesn't mean that it will be a bad game or anything. But it does mean Sony is artificially handicapping their product, when they could be getting people really talking. They keep missing opportunities like that for The Order: 1886. And that means it increases the odds of it not doing particularly well at market.
In any event, the footage is absolutely everywhere now, so it'll do the marketing for Sony ;P
