I guess it is just the lack of white hair.
People were burned badly by DmC. We supported the game even when all the flags were there since the original reveal of the game in TGS 2010 and the following interviews, we could list ALL the issues the game have on release but that will be futile you will still think that the issue was only the aesthetics of the game.
I don't judge people that are angry at Capcom and that it took them 2 years of backlash and crappy sales to actually understand what were the expectations for a DMC game 2 years too late. With a lot of people you only have one shot into making a lasting impression. Capcom did it with DmC and a lot of people are burned, the blame is on capcom and you can't expect everyone to forgive Capcom for "fixing" something that should have never been released with the name of DMC if Capcom wasn't ready for the backlash of not meeting the standards of the majority of the DMC fanbase.
