No way, DahBomb. If Capcom released only a DmC Remastered trailer, I would feel fucking defeated right now. This shit rekindles our hopes. I'll admit that the DmC changes are very positive ones, but I frankly don't care with the reveal of DMC4SE.

DmC under performed in sales, more so than DMC4 that it was meant to surpass to rake in them westerners' money.

Actually it seems more of a distraction to me. When I saw DmC remastered i was like "welp so long DMC main franchise", but with DMC4 SE and Vergil playable, well now I'm hyped for whatever..

What if Capcom decides to just make DmC 2 and Devil May Cry 5? They said fuck it both games/remakes sold well lets give fans of both new games.

Because DmC bombed plus audience reaction was generally negative? Don't know why they would continue with a franchise that's more or less tainted in the eyes of the public.

If you were one of those people who gave the game your time and proper feedback you owe it to yourself to check it out... most of those new features are FANS requested. If you don't buy games like these then it tells companies that listening to fans isn't that important.

It is pretty much Sonic Boom effect where they can go "well if it turns out bad, we will just go back to what worked."
So we are getting DMC4 Remaster that will lead into DMC5 probably.

I'm not so starved for action games that I'm suddenly going to cheer for a game that I never liked. DMC4:SE is the news for me, nothing more. One of my favorite franchises returning to form is great to hear

Well you woke up to the news kinda late because originally the news was just about DmC DE and when I saw the changes I was super omega hyped. I have been thirsty for some DMC I would take whatever. When DMC4SE things definitely went into over drive but I haven't forgotten about DmC and neither should the fans.

Yes that's right the FANS because that is who this DE is aimed at. Casuals do not give a fuck about Must Style and Hardcore modes, lock on addition and various game play tweaks.

The problem is Capcom as they are right now is strap for cash.

The only way they could put out TWO Devil May Cry sequels is with First party money.

Hence why I said DmC2 - Microsoft, DMC5 - Sony.

Dante not having a Credo fight or even a Credo-equivalent was so dumb. I don't care if it didn't make sense, it felt like his campaign was lacking.

I also hope they clean up Nero's boss rush a little. A boss rush is fine, the way they did it just takes a heel to the pacing.
 
Sorry Dahbomb, as a DMC fan I really didn't like DmC and I did complete it. Gameplay was all right but everything else was a huge turn off from an aesthetic standpoint.

Capcom bringing back the original series does give me a bit of hope though.
 
So Capcom is taking the term "voting with our wallets" to a new level. We can now literally vote with our wallets to determine where the sequel is headed towards to. If you want to see more of the "I need more power!" Vergil in the future, buy DMC4SE. If you want to see the "Dante, do something!" Vergil in the sequels, go ahead and support DMC:DE.

All I'll say is this :buy DMC4SE new, but if you must get DmC:DE, buy it used.
 
DmC changes have me pretty hype tbh - the only thing that would make me LOSE my shit - would be if this was all tied together in one deal.

Gods Must Die is one of the new features of DmC and is already a mod for the PC version of DMC4.

And yeah it basically one ups DMD mode. To be honest neither DmC nor DMC4 DMD modes were that hard anyway so this is definitely for the hardcore fans who want the challenge.


Also Must Style mode and Hardcore modes on top of GMD will be some nice stuff. Can't wait to stack all these modifiers and give the games a go.

I can see the PC versions of both DMC4/DmC eventually getting an expansion/update (probably at a cost) that adds the content from the new re-releases. The PC versions of the originals are already the best of their original iterations and are still likely to perform and look better than these new versions, so if the PC is getting anything it'll probably be in the form of some content update.

Alright, gotcha. Never got that far in DmC in terms of difficulty. Sounds like those difficulties will be up my alley.

Also it's going to be a bit weird for DMC4 to finally get trophies.

It's clear that they listened to our complaints. There's no question. The changelist reads like a post on GAF. The DmC DE list seems like almost an apology.

I think the changes are good, they listened to fan feedback very closely, things like removing frames from Kablooey means we don't have to map gunspecial differently to cancel six shots more efficiently.

I still have zero interest in it and will only support DMC4:SE. I feel that the changes made are noteworthy but the foundation is still something I don't care for.
