Love Malick and most of his movies. He's just a guy who does things so differently that his films beg to be viewed. From unusual camera angles, striking imagery, and Lynch-like storylines, it's not business as usual with his films, which isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's something I can appreciate from a film-maker.

Less famous people in Malick's movies would be a good thing imo, Thin Red Line suffered because of this and I felt the tree of life could have done without Sean Penn atleast. I hardly remember to the wonder to be honest..

ttrl could only get financed if they would cast a certain amount of big names. this is why clooney is in it for one minute even though that scene is entirely useless.

After the amazing The Tree of Life trailer and what a disappointment that movie turned out to be for me, I feel a tad cautious. I haven't seen To the Wonder.

The New World is incredible though, my second favorite Malick film after Badlands.

Also, I really need to watch The Thin Red Line again. It has been ages.

The New World is one of my favorite movies of the 2000s. I was shocked to see how mixed/negative the critical reception was after watching it.

I understand. I out The New World in the top 5 file ever made.

The New World is the only Malick film I struggle to get through. It doesn't help that I'm not a huge Colin Farell fan. I'd enjoy that film a lot better if the Bale/Farell roles were reversed.

Hopefully it's good.

I NEED to watch a Malick film for once. I saw the first half of New World and loved it.

Honestly, I do not understand how anyone can watch the New World, and not appreciate the way it was filmed, its as real of a dialogue as you can get in a film. Its like you are a real witness. It totally transports you back in time.

The music, and the cinematography are the best I have ever seen. This movie is not boring, if you have a short attention span, yes I could see how you would not like it, but from looking at movies as an art, there really is no better example.
