All hail Knack

Honestly, I was charmed by the game from the initial announcement. I was disappointed to learn it was more of a linear brawler than a proper platformer, but nevertheless, now that I bought my PS4 as of Black Friday, the game's still on my Christmas wishlist. It'll probably be a shallow game only worth playing the one time, but I just have to play it that one time, dammit. I need to see Knack through.

I know Knack is a bit of a joke on GAF but I'm entirely serious when I say that it's the best PS4 game I've played. sequel pls cerny

Knack Bandicoot: Block'd

I've been playing through it a little at a time for the last week on hard. It's.... Ok. Probably worth the $10 I paid for it, but I definitely don't regret trading in the copy I paid $40 for at launch.

Awesome game. Honestly one of the most enjoyable PS4 games I've played. Considering how cheap it is I would recommend it to anyone who likes platformers, also I would play it on hard since it makes it much more enjoyable.

I really loved Knack. Game is pretty challenging, especially on Hard difficulty.

I don't understand the constant comparisons to Crash. There isn't actually any platforming in Knack. It's pretty much a character action brawler.
I like to call Knack a character action game.

And since it's sold ten times as much as Bayonetta 2, it's obviously the best character action game this generation. Because, the people have spoken.

I have a lot of trust in your taste, Camjo. What made it so memorable and enjoyable for you? (I haven't played it)

I haven't played it in quite some time (sold it back when Gamestop was offering $40, anticipating that I'd see it again for cheap or on PS+ eventually) so I'm a bit fuzzy on the specifics, but I guess I just liked the fact that it had simple gameplay with the kind of graphics and polish you only get from games with a decent budget. Plus there was a lot of challenge in the combat, even with Knack's limited moveset.
