I didn't know there was an anime one either! Same guys that run it? (Will check out later).
Jump Festa I believe. There's also scan going around that seem pretty credible.Where is that picture from?

Also yeah, the Digimon will be smaller now that the kids are older. Only makes sense.
Looking at this and then comparing it to the scans where they have the silhouettes of the digimon as well it seems they've mess around with the continuity of their heights. They've made the Digimon smaller relative their partners compared to this epilogue.

I'm fine with the digimon size as long as they keep it consistent throughout the season. Digimon Savers was just stupid with the resizable agumon (the art style for that season was the weakest too)
No trailer from Jump Fiesta for this??
Want more info about it.
If you don't have the time, These excellent videos do a pretty good job of actually illustrating just about all the problems of Season 2.
How come only the humans grow but not the Digimon? They're "Children" as well, they should grow.
I'm sure digivolving takes care of that quota. How come only the humans grow but not the Digimon? They're "Children" as well, they should grow.

They are data though. Data doesn't grow.
Watching tsuritama right now. Honestly, the character designs are nothing like persona, and truth be told, these character designs and use of colours would fit digimon like a glove.
This could be cool. I'm looking forward to this now. :3
Why on Earth would you want more of the royal knights after Frontier?Hoping to see a trailer out of Jump Festa. Royal knights, dark ocean for the plot.

I've been watching Fusion the past few nights and I'm enjoying it. Once again, Beelzemon is good character.
So, what's the best source for understanding the "lore" of the Digimon franchise overall? I don't mean limited to the show, I mean the lore put forth by the Virtual Pets and such---I tried checking out the Digimon Wiki, but I just get these walls of nonsensical, badly translated text with all these crazy pseudo-symbolism shit. Who are the Demon Lords? Who are the Royal Knights exactly? What's the deal with the Olympus 12? What is Yggdrasil or whatever?
The good guys fought the Royal Knights again and again for what seemed like ten episodes in a row, making no real progress. It's the worst part of an already bad show.I forget, were the Royal Knights in Frontier much (been a while since I've seen it).
Savers featured the Royal Knights a great deal in the last half of the anime. So yeah, I'm not in a hurry for another Royal Knights storyline.
Yeah, I figured as much.
One thing I always wish we would've gotten out of a show was touching upon how Digimon came to be---the TCG and such has these little cool ideas for what programs/viruses Digimon evolved from, that the show never really touched upon outside of a few examples like Milleniumon and the D-Reaper. Like I'd love a Digimon Series where each Digimon had an established reason for existing, and was focused on how they came into being from the result of something manmade.
Is this going to include a new canon ending? Because I hope so.

I got a sinking feeling it's going to be justifying the existing ending more than anything else.
My totally wild guess is that the story is going to include a time-travel related in-universe retcon of a lot of 02.
Considering that they look older than they did in 02 (and this isn't just an artstyle thing, the uniforms, TK and Kari are wearing imply they are about the same schooling level Tai and the others were in 02), I don't see this happening.
I'm not saying it's likely to happen, but I don't get the connection? Say that some new villain goes back in time and starts mucking with the past. The original kids and digimon follow him, and stop him, but not in time to prevent him from altering a few key things. They come back to the present, and find everything changed. End arc 1.
Eureka (TV show) did something similar once, to great effect.

I've never really watched digimon, and I noticed netflix has the original series so...
1: does it hold up at all?
2: sub or dub?
Why would they even bother with a plot like that, though?
I wouldn't mind that depending on how they go about it. That said, there is new people involved (that weren't involved in the original Adventure 02) so they could easily change it and do a new epilogue.
Who knows? I don't even know if they are aware of fans unhappiness with it in the west let alone how JP fans feel (and if the guys in charge know how they feel).
If they do, they could retcon parts to suit their new vision but it's a "Who knows" sort of deal until someone decides to say something.
Well they basically are taking western fans into consideration considering that are going back to the 1st digidestined, which is the one that took off in the west in the first place, I wouldnt be surprised if they were planning a western release to come out relatively soon after it airs in japan
My guess is that they will end Tri without an epilogue or flashforward scene. They actually don't need to tell the kids' future. Is this going to include a new canon ending? Because I hope so.
