Yeah, unfortunately many women see games as childish, akin to playing with dolls. If you have a ps/xbox with a sports game or man-shooter on it, they'll begrudgingly accept that as a "guy thing", but they certainly don't want to hear or talk about it. Anything else and they'll probably view you as juvenile.

It's possible to make a non-gamer come around. But probably not with Madden or CoD. Still, I'm of the opinion that you should make an effort to understand and try to appreciate your SO's hobbies. You might get surprised.

My fiancee isn't really into games, but I have been able to "cross lines" with her when it comes to point and click adventure games like Syberia. I don't try too hard or anything, I think it's nice that we have separate hobbies that allow us to be individuals. But it is a nice rare treat when we can enjoy something one of us loves together.

My girlfriend wasn't allowed to play video games growing up and was taught that they would rot her brain out. We had a pretty heated discussion over whether or not games would be allowed in the house if we had kids in the future.

Eventually, her mind started to change when I was able to tell her about some of the games I really liked; how they weren't all just mindless shooting aliens things (though those can be fun!), but that some of them were really pushing the envelope in terms of interactive storytelling. She had no idea they could be like that, and really started to warm up to the idea.

A couple months ago, she wanted to know if there was a way she could watch me play. I picked out Knights of the Old Republic 2 and started streaming it for her over Twitch whenever we have free time (which isn't too often, unfortunately). She's a huge Star Wars nerd, it would give her the opportunity to choose an avatar and dialog options, and it's got a kooky philosophical bent I really love. Plus one of the best written female character in a video game. She totally loves it and now she wants to see more games. And agreed that any kids we pop out in the future can play, too (as long as it's age appropriate, which I agree). So there is hope :)

You picked the best Star Wars game, and the best woman in KotOR 2. All praise Kreia

Been watching the Fargo series earlier today on blu and it's pretty darn amazing. Anyone who loved the movie should watch the series asap. On episode 5 now and will continue the other 5 tomorrow. Good Shit.

I just saw that movie last week and loved it, think I'll give the series a shot

Yea I've been meaning to watch it. One of my buddies keeps talking about how good it is. I gotta finish Breaking Bad first though.

I think women have a problem when certain guys prioritize gaming over more important things especially those guys who don't like going out and i prefer to spend a friday night just playing video games instead of saying "hey babe let's go out to dance, dinner, cruise around the city etc"

I was referring more to the pre-relationship period, but yes I agree. Though you could replace [games] with any hobby that is stealing too much time in the relationship dynamic.

Maybe, but I was referring more to the initial courtship period where knowing that you play videogames can be a dealbreaker, or can at least drop their view of you down a few pegs.

Ha wow I'm 5'8 135. Brother SRG. Looking to get that number to 140-145 this year. (tall order for my body type)

I have a bird chest so it's pretty hard for me to put on upper body weight.

One of my co-workers (former Olympic power lifter) said that I have to do weights to exhaustion if I ever want to put on weight (that is, need my muscle fibers to build and repair or else it's just toning). Maybe that'll work for you too?

THERE WAS A COCK DISCUSSION AND I WASN'T INVOLVED! Sleeping is bad for me it seems.

Edit: Good night, Sadetar! Go to sleep!
Edit: Sadetar stop roaming around and go to sleep ;P
I did go to bed... Damn this place is wicked and full of bad bad influences keeping me up all night. :p

What's the magic behind growing a burly beard? The last time I tried was back in 2013 for Movemeber, and I looked like a sterotyical porn store attendant in the end. :-(
Hahahahah.

How many porn stores have you gone through to make a stereotype like that?
All I have ever visited have had ridiculously sexy females working in there and none of them had a beard.

Squat day!
My Friday will be made of those!

It's a promise then :D
It indeed is! You better keep it when the day comes. :D

Totally. Contrary to some of the hyperbole spouted on GAF about how saying "hi" makes you a creep... you can say hi. You can even tell someone they're attractive without being considered a creep.
This.

According to rumours people actually comment each other in a nice manner and it is considered to be quite a normal thing to do. Come on, who wouldn't want to make someone's day a bit better by giving them a compliment or saying something sweet. :)

although i'm planning to cook in awhile so thats actually a cool activity ;P
yes i can cook
I might like you a bit more now.

Do you also do dishes if properly encouraged to do so?

You're so lucky, you're almost done. ;-; Dispute Resolution sounds very fancy. Good luck in the internship!

Probably haven't been here enough to call myself a NYorker :P, but yeah, I go to a CUNY school. Also double majoring, in Statistics and Sociology.
I am doing my master's thesis to graduate this spring from university. 100-120 pages of academic text are just waiting to be written before that...

Major is history and minors are art history, museology, ethnology and tourism.

I just got a series of birthday gifts designed to troll me from my coworkers. Including a bottle of mayo, a ridiculous pink shower cap and a bottle of "sparkling grape drink".

乁( ◔ ౪◔)ㄏ
Happy birthday good mister!

when did that happen?
I also missed the cock discussion.
.
.
.
Or you could go straight to dick pics like Sai and I.
This. Just say "I got a big dick" and be done with it.
This guy #NoLimits lol
Told a friend to send a random chick on Facebook exactly that, he banged her next week. Ayyyyyy.
.

.
Ok, admittedly it was more of a potential cock discussion, but if I would have been here we could have made it flourish!

I might like you a bit more now.

do you mean dishes as in taking advice on how to do certain foods or cleaning afterwards? If so yes to both, I'm not a messy person so I always clean around the house.
that's the worst kept secret ;)

Oh my!

You better keep yourself safe behind locked doors or someone might try to steal you. ;)

Hahahah, I meant cleaning afterwards.

You also just earned like extra points of being awesome! ^_^
