Guys. I have everyone in Wave 3 ordered except Rosalina and Lucario.

How will I fair? Did Rosalina only ever go up twice?

I don't think it'll be too bad.

Lucario is one of the most popular characters in the wave, and Toys R Us is pretty good with their exclusives. Usually.

Rosalina was up for preorder for so little time at awkward hours, leading many to believe Target's saving most of their allotment for in-store. And she's a Mario character. Not likely they'd shortship a Mario character.

Lucario was available at one time for preorders in store, but they're not not taking any more. It's a company wide thing I was told by a friend at TRU.

Meta Knight they had featured in their ad for this week but were not taking any more orders. They had him up for a little while but as of right now you can't get any preorders either. I tried going in and talking to a guy in Best Buy since mine didn't have the signs about the ad being incorrect (and I had no idea about those til I got home) and he said their system wasn't able to process preorders so it was a company wide thing as well.

New Ike looks great, imo. A lot more colorful. Fits in more with everyone else now.

I feel a bit relieved that the Ike Amiibo was the only one in the 3rd Wave (so far) that was punctured & got hit with the derp stick. Hopefully, Shiek & Shulk won't be affected too badly.

That's the problem I have mostly. I look at the character on the left, that's Ike. No question. Looks like he stepped right out of Radiant Dawn. I don't know who that character on the right is. He looks fragile though. Even the eyes are different.

I'd import but I know I'm not going to have the money for it. As insane as I know it'll be I'll just have to take my chances finding them in the wild. I hope these stores do 24-48hr holds.

Maybe Nintendo should be more concerned with what its Western audience thinks. Seems to me we're the ones buying most of their stuff these days.

Sigh, I guess it's not really a big deal. Maybe they couldn't do it that way for the cost. I'll buy it anyway. Though I was going to buy two, one for opening and one for display. I think I'll just get the one now.

I think that's why I'm annoyed honestly. Out of all the amiibos, Ike and Shulk mattered the most to me. IMO they ruined Ike who was looking pretty damn good, maybe the best looking amiibo to date.

I agree that he looks too slim in comparison to the prototype, but I like the amount of detail that is on the clothes (leather tunic?). His face is the only thing that really bothers me though, especially with how nice the wave 2 faces looked.

Eh, if that's what the final version of Ike looks like I'm still happy with it (and it was to be expected honestly--that looks a lot more like the final Marth amiibo than the earlier Ike pics did).

It's a bit smaller. I actually like the brighter colors better. I'm really glad they changed the color of the sword support from gold to grey -- it kinda made the sword look like a hockey stick before. The cape and the face are definitely a bit worse :/ but not too bad.

Glad I have him pre-ordered -- I'm not a fan of the Fire Emblem series in general, but Ike is one of my favorite Smash fighters and the one FE amiibo I need

I don't have a problem with the slightly smaller arms, but his torso and legs are so tiny. Before, the proportions were relatively natural, now he looks like he belongs in Sonic Boom. The revised cape looks kind of terrible as well...

That was one of the factors - the androgynous appearance was also intended to reflect his status as a blank slate.

From the very beginning of the planning process, Raiden was to be a "unisexual" character. This was to all both male and female gamers to relate to this character without the appearance being an obstacle. Making players relate to a character from an appearance standpoint might have its pros and cons, but that is what we decided to do.

Though apparently Kojima's first statement to Shinkawa was to design an "exceptionally beautiful young man", and both Snake and Raiden were designed butt-first, so aesthetic appeal was definitely one of their primary concerns.

So I have 2 extra Amiibos to sell. They are open..sadly. *sigh* they were sealed, but my wife was picking up after the Christmas havoc and figured she would unwrap them, so get rid of the packaging..
