New Xenoblade Chronicles X trailer

Game looks awesome, definitely looking to pick this game up if I have time to play it. The Character models at the end of the trailer were laughably bad though. Everything else was amazing though.

I couldn't help but think the whole way through that "damn, that guy can jump!"

Loving the environments and mech suit.

Character designs are a little... off? I can't really place my finger on what I don't particularly like about them, but they just really seem to clash with the rest of the aesthetic. Regardless the game looks amazing.

Could have used more giant robot action, not a very exciting trailer IMO. Still, I'm gonna get a Wii U for this.

As I said in the Japanese release date thread for the game... my god... that trailer was EVERYTHING I wanted from a Xenoblade Chronicles X trailer! Showing off flying, seeing crazy vistas, seeing various settings and cool looking flora... wow! I CANNOT wait for this!!!!!!!

This is definitely 30FPS no question, not that that matters much to me. Just as long as it's stable, because this game looks so impressive. Amazing.
I hope there's a Nopon base. :>

I was thinking the one clip they showed where the group was walking over bridges made out of what looked like trees could possibly be related to the nopon just like in Xenoblade. We know there are at least a few nopon in the main city because one of the quests is given by a nopon and is called something like "my nopon siblings". My guess is just like Xenoblade, the nopon have migrated to various locations as traders.

Get in my Wii U already!

While some of the scenery was nice, this was kind of a boring trailer in the larger scheme of things. We've already had this kind of running around trailer, this didn't really show anything too new or exciting. A more comprehensive look at everything about the gameplay (some higher level combat would have been nice) with more interesting story stuff would have made this far more interesting. As it is, I didn't really feel like I saw anything particularly new to wet my appetite apart from a few new locations. They look nice, but somewhat empty so showing what I can do in those environments would have gone a long way of making it a better trailer.

Still. It's Monolith and a new Xenoblade game. Of course it'll be good.

That assumes they wait until launch to even start the localization process. I mean maybe that's what they're doing, but not guaranteed.

The fact they shown english/menus and text translations in the last few direct trailers tells me they started on it already.

I guess this has been speculated already, but I think the narrator is that girl with black/bluish hair, who I guess joins the party while you're in New LA.

Beautiful, fantastic trailer.

Gorgeous environments and great soundtrack.

The game looks really insane, specially for an open world game.

I'm wondering the the PS3 or 360 could pull this off...the Wii U should be similar in specs to the previous gen consoles, but I just never seen an open world game that looked this good on them.

Can't wait for this!

I'm sure they could since this isn't doing anything ridiculous technically. It looks so beautiful because Nintendo has some of the best artists in the industry.

Environment size and variety is amazing!

Character models are a little underwhelming, but I got used to it in Xenoblade. Hopefully spending a lot more time exploring the world and not so much cutscene wise. Most of the time I'll be looking at the backside anyways :p

The warbling music was annoying, sigh

Really looking forward to this game.

The scale looks promising and the different locales look interesting..

The only thing I don't like so far is the character design, but I doubt that's going to change.

Even though the trailer was mostly just the characters running around it was still neat, we got a sneak peek at new environments, that snoworm tho.

I guess the human character models were sacrificed for the impressive landscapes and monster and models.

Yes, but I think they took a ugly protagonist so players would make their own. Or it's just that the face look like old PSX/anime style. I don't really mind personally.

The bigger question is will the game have a batshit insane story like all of Takahashi's other projects?

No Gods and Goddesses, please.

I'm cool with aliens and stuff, but beyond that, it starts getting silly. I'd like it to stay a little bit more down to earth (or down to Mira, in this case).

In other news, I might need to import this game. I want to hear the soundtrack in-game first so bad as I play, and I don't think I have the will power to wait until it comes out in North America. T_T

That, and I'm a little worried about localization. Xenoblade's was awesome, and had some good British talent. This might get the usual suspects and
more swearing :(
.

Yup, while this game has beautiful art, you can clearly see games like red dead, and GTAV on lastgen are way more graphically impressive then X.

This was a trailer showing off the environments. People complaining that it is barren need to check themselves. I was sold on this game from the start just from the world that it will allow you to explore even if I didn't particularly like the combat from the previous game.

Given how the first Xenoblade ended, I would not be surprised to see some sort of link between the two games revealed much later on.

That first line of yours would still be true in that scenario as well. ;)

inb4 this game is actually a Xenoblade prequel
